Hello everyone so I installed lean kernel on my SM-N900W8 Note 3 and of course I didn't backup the original kernel. So I was wondering if anyone could provide my with a download of the stock SM-N900W8 kernel as I want to go back to it. Thanks in advance!
All of the Samsung stock ROMs are at sammobile.com.

But I want to try to avoid wiping the device totally, or will I be able to install the ROM without fully wiping my device?
You can extract the kernel from the stock rom.
I think it is a good idea to have a copy of the stock rom in case there is a need to flash back to a stock rom.

Would you be able to tell me how to extract it? I already have a copy of the rom.
Edit - Never mind I got it, Thanks for the help!
If lean kernel has aroma installer then there should be a feature of going back to stock kernel If not then:-
Try pekaka kernel where you've feature of aroma installer and there's a step to revert back to stock kernel.
I usually uses same method to revert back to stock. After that keep backup of your kernel

I'm coming from Galaxy S2, and flashing the rom is very easy via Odin. I want to flash the Task650's KME V5 rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1227800).
Is it possible to flash that rom via odin? Please let me know. Many thanks in advance!
No. You have to flash the ROMs from cwm recovery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1171089
Get FilesForDummies.zip, flash recovery-cwm_4.0.0.4-sam-tab-10.1.tar.md5 via Odin, put the ROM .zip on your tab, flash the ROM you like from cwm.
how can i root the stock rom then? I want to freeze some useless things

It is not recommended to flash any 3rd party ROM on the Galaxy Tab 10. There are currently no stable or reliable ROMs that can match the stock ROM.

When ure rooted, u have different roms to go with (task650, overcome, etc...), u'll have a blast for sure
I have a KF1 firmware which is stock. Now i want to install custom ROM using ROM Manager on MY SGS2. But then I want to use KJ3 custom ROM. Is it possible? Because when I try installing it using CWM on recovery mode and ROM Manager, it is simply not working.
I hope someone could me out here.
Thanks
Is your phone rooted? If not you may need to do a bit of research on how to flash custom kernels and how to use Odin. Its not hard to do, but it very easy to stuff the phone if not done properly.
I have rooted my phone using custom kernel. I use CF-root.
But my Firmware is still kF1. I am now trying to update it to 3.3.5 using odin.
how were you trying to flash the custom rom? Just need to see if your missing a step
Guys, thanks...
I have read bunch of new ideas here.
Currently I am using stock KI3 and want to use the Kitchen Room Ki3 which is Deodexed Rom to install some good themes.
I am right on these?
Odexed = stock rom
deodexed = custom rom?
Not exactly. We have some custom odexed ROMs too ;-) But, you will never see stock deodexed ROM for sure.

I have now Nexus 4 out of the box.
Now i want to back up the stock kernel before i flash to Franco Kernel. Is there a way to backup the stock one without rooting the device?
I guess you don't need a backup, you can easily extract it from the stock rom and the flash it back

You download the stock rom zip from Google's site where the images are stored. Then you extract the zip and as far as I know there's the stock boot.img inside. Then you can simply flash it

Alright thanks!
I already installed Franco Kernel now

Hey I was just wondering how do I restore to stock MJ5 ROM? Stock ROM with stock recovery and kernel?
Why don't you give us more information, It's free to write
If you made a backup it's as easy as restore from recovery..
If you didn't make a backup flash the Odin file that contains mj5 rom and kernel..

I'm completely stock now (Stock ROM, kernel & recovery) and I have yet to make a backup. If I were to install a custom rom with a custom kernel & recovery, how would I restore to stock MJ5 from there?

What I can understand is that you're currently on stock mj5 and want to try custom rom then return back to stock.. Right ?
So okay install a custom rom whatever you want then return to stock by Odin.. But keep in mind that if you have a knox bootloader and installed a custom thing to the phone you will trigger 0x1 which can't be undone. .
Good luck. .

Yes it will work. It's a TW kernel designed for a TW rom. As long as your on a 4.4.2 Omega ROM you will be fine :good:
