App for Notes on Photo - Nexus 5 Themes and Apps

I'm looking for an application and hoping someone here can make a suggestion.
When I take a photo, I'd like to attach a text file to the photo right after I take the picture. Nothing complicated, just a note about where/when and the purpose of the photo. Basically, I'm looking to document a job site or something and want to keep notes with the picture. Thanks.

Have you tried "Fast Photo Notes" ?

Google keep can do that! It comes with the N5 too! I'll put some screenies for example.
You can take a picture, add a title and notes, on get a reminder for it. For example, I took a picture of my clock, let myself know something about it and set a location reminder so that next time j go to the mall, I'll remember to pick up some batteries. Then the note is posted on the home screen of the app (mind my Christmas lists).

+1 for Google Keep. Never knew about keep until a few weeks ago. Google Keep runs on your PC and your phone. Both sync up so you will always have your notes where ever you go. I do like the ability to type notes out with photos.

Thanks. I'll take a look at the suggestions. Appreciate the help.

Pictures in Gmail??

I can't believe that even on my beautiful sleek Nexus One, I can't view embedded email pictures. Does anyone know why this is? And if not maybe some one knows how to fix it? This is actually ridiculous if you ask me, its the Gmail app that has been made by Google for a Google operating system on a Google phone but it can't display embedded email pictures? Whats going on here?
It works fine for me... Did you push the "Show Pictures" button near the top of the email?
Sometimes they show up for me. Usually they don't though and I always press 'show pictures'. I love the phone bit its the least of my issues: I can't send mms to any phone bit android, I get 'uportal error' on a common site that the iPhone 3g and 3gs access no problem, and I often get a quarter of an inch of orange load bar when clicking a link in the browser which sometimes is only remedied by a phone reset. I have loved all 3 of my android phones though and Its google we're talking about. They are all about te internet and I trust they are diligently working to improve te average, albeit fast browser experience.
I just read my post and good God this keyboards tough to type on.

I have pressed show picture, all i get is a question mark in a little blue box and i can see the frame of the picture that is spoused to be there. I know im not the only person people. Don't make me feel like im the only one here..
Currently, the gmail app does not support embedded pictures in emails. When you see pictures it's because the person attached the picture to the email. The only way to see embedded pictures in an e-mail on your phone is to log into gmail through the browser. This has been like this since 1.5 and has been submitted to google numerous of times. Hopefully they will fix this problem.

I have the same issue as OP and have since I can remember (since I got my G1 on pre-order) and clicking on "show pictures" and clicking on the blue square does nothing for me on my G1 and my Nexus.
/agree with mgorman.....
Embedded pictures is working just fine in the Gmail app, had some ad-spam from Direct2Drive, Apple, Impulse etc in my inbox just now and they all had embedded pictures. Clicked show pictures and it worked like a charm, this was also over 3g network.
As far as I know I can't take screenshots with an un-rooted phone, so I've attached a picture.

You can use the Android sdk to take pictures of the phone:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Make sure USB debugging is on, plug in phone to PC
C:\android-sdk-windows\tools -> ddms.bat
Not sure what you guys are talking about. Embedded pictures work absolutely flawlessly on my phone
Ah of course via the SDK. Been developing for Android for some time, but I've only been using the emulator since I've been too lazy to actually hook up my phone

do you have astro file manager installed? there is an option in this app that allows you to download otherwise un-downloadable files through the stock browser that makes pictures in email not work (according to the setting in the app itself)

[Q] Photogram App

Hi,
My wife has a photo app called photogram which is a photo editor. I believe it came from Samsung. This app lets you colorize your photos, make them look antique, build a collage, etc.
What's weird is i can't find it in the Zune or Samsung marketplace to download to my phone, any idea where to get this from??
Thanks!

I have the same app. It seems to have disappeared from Marketplace a few days ago. I'm not sure what happened.
That stinks, it's one of the better photo apps. It was only up for a couple days. Hopefully there is an update in the works.
I hope you're right. I tried to help a friend load it on his Focus, and that's when I noticed it had disappeared. I do not want to reset my phone until it's back (not that I need to, but if I did)! lol

it might just be removed because of a bug the developer of the app has the option to un-publish it or update it. most likly they un-published it.
The App is back in the Market. This time it is even listed under Samsung Zone portion of the Market. The HDR functionality is amazing.
go to samsung zone in marketplace
it's there in the samsung zone under marketplace...pretty cool little app! 5 stars! I must admid the "Now" application by Samsung is much better after recent update! Uses Accuweather for weather and Yahoo Finance for stocks, but no live tile yet. Oh well I think the live tiles could use too much data if not careful.
ATHIX
Its under the samsung zone.

Question about Google Plus App on Android

Wanted to know if its just our devices, or just MINE
1) Does push notifications work, and do notifications refresh automatically
2) MORE IMPORTANTLY, does the INSTANT UPLOAD feature work, i uploaded mine days ago, and have it enabled. But in Google Plus , under 'photos from phone', nothing shows up. Its very annoying! Where did my photos go.
The push notifications haven't worked for me yet. I've only had 2 photos show up from instant upload that I took just after installing the app can't get existing photos to show up.
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
how long after u took the 2 photos did they show up
Not to sure I took them earlier in the day and when I went to G+ later last night they were there.
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
are u on stock rom, or gingerblur (gbread)
Im on kenns 2.3.4 beta #4 rom.

I guess I just suck then
it is beta after all, patience.

What is the easiest way to get on Google +? I have read you have to get a invite but I do not know how to even sign up to be put on the list! Maybe I am just dense and not understanding it!
You need someone that has it already to invite you.
These don't work:
Instant Upload is wonky
Upload existing pictures
Push Notifications

If anyone needs an invite, pm me your email address and I'll get you in.
I triggered the upload of existing photos. It worked just fine. Instant upload also seems to work fine as long as you are on wifi.
Instant upload only works if you take a picture. It can go over wifi or att, video can go over wifi only. Your exsisting photos wont upload unless you go to settings and hit upload exsisting (not a good idea. I did this and had to explain to my wife why her nude photos were on the net. She was not happy. So be careful it will send everything).
As far as an invite. PM me and I will send you one.

Oops!!
Luckily, these photos are not shared by default (as far as I'm aware). You have to go into G+ and go to photos and check which ones you want to share. At least that's how mine is, not sure if there are settings to auto-share everything.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but does anyone else have a hard time typing with Swype? Google+ seems to have it's own autocorrect and when you mix in Swype's, it took me forever to type a post because words would disappear or change without my wanting them to.
Auto upload seems to work for me too. I changed the settings so it only uploads when plugged into the charger. My notifications work sometimes for stream posts and all the time for huddle conversations.
Sent from my MB860
My huddle doesnt work.. It keep FC when I try to open it..
I've had a grand total of one push notification actually make it through to my Atrix out of the 6 that should have received since I installed the G+ app (2.3.4 updated with the OTA file through stock recovery, no root, locked BL, no CWM)
edit: as a note to elias.parasini, huddle works just fine for me.

yes and this is driving me crazy -- G+ seems to be one of the only apps I've ever found that really does not like Swype.

An app that resizes and crops photos?

Hey,
I'm looking for an app that can re-size and crop photos. It's a pretty basic requirement, but I've yet to find an app that can do both.
Am I missing something that this staring me in the face, or does such an app really not exist?
-PW
You could use Samsung photo editor
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17146726#post17146726
Or you can search the market with "resize image" - gives lots of results.
This doesn't show up in market. I assume I need to get the app through an alternate source?
Or does it only work with the galaxy?
Forgot to tell you that Samsung photo editor requires root in order to install. I've updated my post with a link.

My favorite photo editor is PicSay. There is a free version. I got lucky the pro version was free on amazon app market a while ago.

Yes, I've tried a number of searches with many results. Unfortunately, very few of those results are actually useful. It seems the tablet is still a little behind when it comes to image software. Most of the results are toys and gimics.
Ideally, I was hoping for a simple crop/resize tool, and was very surprised to find so few applications that performed these two basic functions. I thought I might be missing something.
Guess I'll be waiting a bit.

I tried the free version. It didn't re-size or crop, from what I could tell. It seemed to just allow adding balloons and icons and stuff.
Are actual photo editing features included in the pro version?
Re size and crop is part of the pro. Sorry about that.

I have pic say.and image shrink.
currently im using QuickPic as my default pic browser..
i cant paste the link here as my post count is not enough yet.. so try to search it in market..
much much much better than stock pic browser..
you can easily arrange the filing and folder as you can copy, cut n paste pictures within the apps itself..
it also provides cropping for pictures if that is what you want..
try it.. to me its the best pic browser.. (and pic cropping tools)
Yeah, QuickPic is really nice - supports crop but not resize as requested from the op.

Tasker would probably be your best bet.
http://tasker.wikidot.com/failedloginphoto
That is old school, but you could modify for your case.
first, i don't have root now.
second, i can start the app before and then to close the screen and to take pictures with pattern or press some place...
Wait, what?
Are u an spy or something? haha ;l
There are Gallery apps in the playstore that have a "private" function that require a password to view and some are just hidden?
Also with apps like QuicPic, and many others, you can long press on a folder and "hide" it... Then it's not visible while using that gallery app, but you can find it using a file explore or you can re-enable the view of that folder.
this is how upskirts happen

You're not supposed to take pictures when you're taking a test, that would be wrong. And what comes to meetings, there's really no need to hide what you're doing with your phone.
i have my porposes i don't understand what these doing with the question? if you can help, help if not so not..belive me i don;t use it for illigal porposes, for thet there is special spy stuff
this is a funny post to read so far. But yeah i would not post stuff like that in here since i would make you seem very sketchy regardless what reasons may be. And good luck to find one
This is not going to go anywhere. Nor do I see anything good coming out of this. Thread closed.
