The network it's connected to is shown in the ongoing section. Is it possible to remove to reclaim some space?
Thanks

Root your device.

Hold down on the notification and press "app info" then force stop/close. It'll remove the notification temporarily. Rooting will grant you access to remove it for good.

"app info" goes to Settings. Isn't that the general settings?
My device is rooted. How could I get rid of it?
Thanks
There is an xposed mod for it. It's either in wanam or nottach. Pretty sure it's wanam. Just install xposed framework, reboot and install the modules from the download section

Download titanium backup and freeze the seandroid app. Problem solved. There is also a nag fix zip in the development forum. Hope this helps.
Love the 90s Good Times.
Freeze SEAndroid using an app like titanium backup and this message will go away.

If you have a custom kernel you freeze seandroid or delete /system/app/KNOXAgent.apk/.odex. If not, use CF Auto Root from original dev section and that should fix you.

Where do you find it in titanium? Thanks?

Another good alternate is Root App Delete.
the new SuperSU by Chainfire fixes this issue... just download it from the market and replace superuser app.... and no need to freeze or delete any file
You don't have to use TiBu. Any app that freezes apps can be used to fix this. I haven't heard of any other fixes for it yet though. Just freeze SEAndroid.apk.
From what I understand it is the process that filters apps that don't work for your phone. However, I've ran carat and it says I need to restart or kill it to obtain 5 hours of battery life. Can I disable it or what can I do? I am running stock rom, not rooted, completely stock. Thanks so much!

Don't know if you're still having this issue a month later.
Based on what you read, you can just disable it. You don't need a filter installer or a method of filter apps for your device. When you attempt to install apps for your device, the play store will let you know before installing that the app is compatible with your device.

Hi guys, are you sure that is the case? That the market app will check? I know it scans for malicious apps now in 2017/18, but what if you install an app on beta from dev's web site?? Durant the Filter Installer then kick in???
Cheers

After reboot, this Google search bar just permanently placed itself and I lost the theme option completely. Any ideas?

What Rom and mods are you using? That looks like what a Samsung UI search looks like.
Did you recently install a Mod?
Stock rom. I just noticed I lost the ability to theme individual icons. Instead of the option to name and change icon, it just picks it up and I have option to delete or show info. Maybe my launcher is gone? I had x posed with g2 settings installed but I uninstalled them. Would an option to select theme just disappear?

A theme option should be here right?

Yes, there should be an option at the top. Something tells me that a theme you tried to install conflicted with the stock rom that might have not been compatible.
If youve added any mods or themes I would freeze or remove them in titanium backup and restart and see if that fixes the issue.
Most of my theme icons came back except the apps icon after few reboots. Does titanium detect and let me remove themes even if my option to theme is gone?

Yes because after you flash the zips in recovery they become apk's

Ok hmm, can you see them in titanium Bu? They should be apk's, if so go on and try uninstalling them. This should fix your problem if its a theme conflicting with your stock image.
I had this issue as well.
I did factory reset and all was better.
It seems that I somehow I installed my home launcher.

i just found that after updating my note 2 (kitkat 4.4 india) i try to disable knox using app manager but i could not.
so today i had to uninstall some apps using touchwiz (main menu settings) i found option to uninstall or disable apps(disabling apps is new for me ) so i go to knox(in ap drawer) and TA DA i did it
i could not post image here(i am new here and i dont know how to do this) so i am attaching a file that is the proof that we can disable that KNOX please give fair comment about image and confirm this
i know that we can not get rid of KNOX yet , but at least we can now disable it and save much much ram that knox used to eat
Thanks!
Good thinking.

Actually the screen shot i was talking about (in the first post) has already been posted.
There would be another way also , After Stock ROM installation Knox will prompt to run or activate and I never confirmed , instead after rooting I run superuser and was notified to disable knox by first run on superuser and the application did it well for me.
I don't see the problem with Knox. When its not activated, it doesn't do a thing, and does not "eat" any ram afaik.
