Playing games on tv - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I connect my Note 3 to my tv (mhl) I got lots of lags in all games.
Real racing 3 being the worst so far.
Anyone else having this issue?
By comparison ny note 2 is much smoother.
I am running bobcat rom v3 with stock firmware.
Also, is there a way to turn off the mobile screen and just use the TV as screen?

i know i'll get the opposite answer but i published this thread because i wanted to ask the note users if the phone runs massive games like Modern Combat 3 well or its stuck in a bit?because in youtube its look like the games dosent run very well...
Anyone???
Please help me to decide!!!
I myself am a no gamer but had to instal this game just to check it out if it works and man what a game it took over 1.3 GB of space. But I am happy to say that it works great no hang ups no nothing very smooth, however my Note started heating up just after 20 minutes of playing, but not unbearable.
Hope this helps.
MC3 runs fine and fluid on the note.
I tested nearly every major game and never experienced a lag so far.

Play your PC Games Everywhere

Recently i found a app that can remote play pc game on the smartphone or tablet everywhere you like and its also have the game mapping tool on it. It same as the shield pc game streaming feature but not require the desktop or laptop to be upgrade. This is good news.
The app is call kainy
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5rYWlueS5jbGllbnQiXQ..
The problem is does anyone been using it before and does it lag when playing the games?
I have tested it on my Galaxy s3 with gameklip and ps3 gamepad bud performance is not that good. Its pretty CPU hungry on the PC and button mapping is strange at least with the Sixaxis app.
I hope Shield app is better
As of playing over 3G then this is not realistic to get even satisfactory result. Latency of both 3g connection and your home line is way to high.

It's not a good choice right now. Over local net splashtop will work as I've ran pcsx over it to my tv with minor issues of controller input.
But you can get it working if you make an effort to do so. Right now that's the best I've seen so far but like all of them the game must run in window mode.

I've never been happy with any of the versions of Splashtop for playing games, due to image quality and latency. It's the one thing about Shield that I feel they really did well (which is why it needs the special PC hardware). The latency is incredibly low and the image quality is amazing. At least in the games I've played on it (Monaco, Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Need For Speed, Assassin's Creed 3)

[Q] Plants vs Zombies 2 not running well.

I'm playing the plants vs zombies 2 on my nexus 10 and the game isn't running well.
the framerate keeps dropping to less than 15 FPS on the stage selection screen, and the gameplay doesn't show a steady performance even in the rest of the game.
someone else is going through this? does the nexus 10 always shows bad performance on gaming due to the high-res screen?
thanks!

I've never had issues on more intense games that are well optimized (Asphalt 7/8, Real Racer, etc) but I've had a few issues with 2D games.
Huh? PvZ 2 isn't in the Play Store...
-------------------------
My devices:
Nexus 10 - Stock Rooted
Nook Tablet - CM10.1
I'm getting lags with PvZ2 as well and i wouldn't hold my breath about a fix, considering how long it took
for PvZ1 to be officially available for the Nexus 10.
It's available on Play Store now. It's quite laggy on my Nook HD+ running CM 10.1, though still playable. I also have a 2012 Nexus 7 and it's running smoothly there. Not sure if this helps at all, but there you have it.
I've definitely seen some slowdowns in pvz2. You can lower your screen resolution to improve performance using this app.

Re-doenload it. Had the same issue but now I'm good.

Sonic 4 Episode 2

I've noticed the THD version of Episode 2 has some noticeable frame drops, even on Tegra devices. Is the version on the Ouya store the THD version, or the original version? I'd like to know before buying it.

I'm not sure if it is the THD version but it is enhanced for tegra processors. Most people have problems with laginess and/or frame drop but I haven't had any issues. It sounds like sideloading it works better for most people but I haven't tried that route personally yet. It's strange how it seems that all ouyas are not created equal.

Anyone playing clash of clans?

I'm planning to buy this tablet specifically for playing this game. Does anyone else play it on this device? How does it run?
I bought an Asus MeMO Pad 7 and the game is very choppy. Not unplayable, but not like on my note 3.
Will the tegra 3 processor handle it?
Very playable.

consider something better
Well, actually it's not that good. Screen quality is quite bad, 1280x800 makes this game look ugly if you ever zoom in. So I'd recommend buying something with better display. Or at least try befory buying.
I'm playing CoC on Nexus 7 (2012). It's not bad, just not that good.. Oh, and it does lag a little on my device. It's quite old now, so maybe it's my particular device problem. But still, display is crappy.
