(Free) SIM Unlock on Three UK - One (M7) General

I've requested unlock code form my HTC One, haven't received it yet, I'll report on whatever I've been charged or not.
Happy unlocking!
Edit
Today I've received my unlock code, everything went well, as far as I can see no charges on my acc.

I filled the form few days ago, still waiting for the code

Are you sure about this?
As i always thought 3 phones work on a different frequency to the rest of uk networks, so even if you sim unlock it othger network cards wont work on it.

This is incorrect. Three phones will work on all networks (if unlocked). I've had multiple handsets from three which I've unlocked.

T-mobile is a bit odd...

So I bought my HD2 2 weeks after they came out. Shortly after I tried buying an unlock code for my phone because t-mobiles service in my area is kind of come and go. Unfortunatly I have one of the 35777 Phones so after 4 attempts with 4 different sites failing at getting a code, I tried emailing tmobile to see if they would give me a code as they already told me they dont have service in my area. They told me to fax them a copy of my invoice proving I paid full price for the thing, so I did. About a week later they got back to me and said that due to the fact that I bought it from a site that was not one of their approved retailers I couldnt get an unlock code. So about a week and a half ago I went to a tmobile store and got the darn thing setup anyways. I get some service in this area, just not much. Now about 3 days ago, I get an email from t-mobile that looks like this:
T-Mobile Sim Unlock Request
Sim Unlock Reference: *******
IMEI: 35777*********
Unlock Code: ********
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. Below you will see the Instructions for unlocking your HTC device.
1. Insert the foreign SIM card
2. Power on the device and the display should read "Please input unlock code"
3. Enter the unlock code and the device should display "Phone is unlocked."
4. Allow the phone to scan the network (or manually click on the antenna icon to do this)
It is very important that the instructions and SIM unlock code are entered correctly as listed. If you receive an error message while performing the instructions do not make any further attempts to unlock the handset. Please be aware that if an excessive amount of incorrect attempts are made, the phone will be permanently locked. You will need to verify the IMEI by pressing *#06# and contact Customer Care for support.
Thank You,
Sim Unlock Department
T-Mobile USA, Inc.
I kind of find this a bit odd. They tell me I cant get the number, then about a month later they randomly mail it to me anyway.
sounds kind of odd... have you always had tmobile or did you just sign up to purchase the hd2?
Neither, I had at&t before, Wanted to buy it and unlock it to use with at&t but in the process realized at&t's service is a bit of a ripoff. Atleast it is with standard plans. Wanted to try and use my hd2 with a gophone card but it doesnt seem to want to work.

SIM network unlock PIN for Samsung Galaxy S

Probably a silly question but I have the following problem:
I have 3 cards (Orange and 2 x T-Mobile). When I put either T-Mobile SIM in my phone, it requests a SIM network unlock PIN. I have the option of entering this in or clicking a dismiss button which will take me pass this screen but doesn't register onto the GSM network. This doesn't happen on my Orange SIM as this registers straight away onto the GSM network.
All 3 SIM cards do not request a PIN when I use them with two other phones that I have (HTC Hero and HTC TyTn 2).
On the SGS I have tried the pins 0000, 12345 and 1234 which are default PINs that I recall. I've checked the manual for the SGS and the literature that came with my T-Mobile SIM card and neither give any hints about a default PIN or about a SIM network unlock PIN.
I'm not sure if the PIN request is coming from the phone or the SIM card. I'm guessing it's coming from the phone but I don't know why it doesn't request this when I use my Orange SIM card.
I purchased the phone SIM free. The Orange SIM is a PAYG and the two T-Mobile SIMs are pay monthly contracts. I know all 3 SIMs work without PINs in my other phone.
Can anyone help? I'm assuming I'm missing something really simple but can't figure out what. I've already tried a dozen google searches with no luck. Please please help. I feel I'm being deprived of my 2 hour old SGS phone
I've now taken a video of the boot up sequence to show you what it looks like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D-RvvCK2bM
Can anyone confirm or refute whether this is happening on their SGS too? It seems like it's a Security Code on the handset but I can't find any setting for such a code.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Don't think your phone is actually SIM free... no issues here using any SIM I like (purchased from Unlocked Mobiles). Where did you get yours?

I purchases it from handtec. I don't think it is Sim free for the following reasons:
1. It was listed as Sim free
2. The box it came in also seems to indicate it is Sim free
3. There is no carrier logo on the phone or anything it came with
4. Seems to work with my Orange Sim card (which implies the phone came from orange if it was Sim free and this phone hasn't been released on Orange).
I'm guessing by the single thread reply that no one else has come into this issue before? And it's probably not just a simple default security code?
I don't know if this will help, but when I was asked for a sim code on a new Nokia phone, about two years ago, I rang Voda and asked for the pin code. In your case you would need to ask T Mobile.
I have the exact same issue with my Galaxy from Handtec which arrived today. I hope they aren't selling sim-locked phones as sim-free... Time to call Voda...
Ok, apparently it's a known issue. Just spoke to handtec, they say they got a batch of phones from Samsung which are locked to Orange. Call them for a replacement/refund. Don't mess about with the phone support line, it just points you to the website and disconnects you, call them and speak to sales. 01733 298500

Ah ok, that makes sense and which is why my Orange SIM card worked but not T-Mobile. I may have come to this conclusion if I had a Vodafone and O2 SIM knocking about.
Thanks for the info. Will be returning the phone for a replacement.

@n4nick: It appears as though you were right although the phone doesn't look like an Orange locked phone. Orange are notorious for plastering their big ugly logo on the physical phone and all over the software. They even put their logo on the box, accessories and manuals. This phone really looks like a SIM free version.
I wonder if the Orange locked batch were due to go to Orange for them to do their usual carrier differentiation before they then go out to customers.
Hi!, I've bought Samsung Galaxy S from handtec too and I get the same message: sim network unlock pin. I've just sent request to Handtec support.
What about you? Did you somehow unlock? Or did you change your phone?
Speak to Handtec about it and get a replacement or a refund as the item sent out is the wrong item. As mentioned previously, I believe the mistake was from Samsung as they sent a batch of Orange locked handsets as unlocked handsets which Handtec then sold accordingly. Handtec seem to be handling the whole mixup very well with good customer service so you should be ok.
Yeah I'm experiencing this issue as well. Phone worked fine for 7 days then today out of nowhere I get the SIM network unlock PIN alert upon startup. I contacted Handtec and this is all they had to say.
Thanks for your email,
Unfortunately this is an error with Samsung and we will require all of the items back, postage will be covered once back and confirmed it is an orange locked device but we will require this back to replace it for you.
Please advise,
Kind regards.

Legally they have to give you a full refund including the postage cost for both ways. Therefore you could purchase a new handset while you are in the process of getting a refund for the existing one. You'll know if it is an Orange locked phone because there was one or two Orange specific applications pre-installed on the phone.
If it was working before and not now then it's possible it could be a different issue though.
I work for t-mobile and samsung sent us some unbranded phones that were locked to orange by mistake. That chances are we wernt the only ones to receive them
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
had this problem myself on O2
went to store to use their phone to ring around (they were sorry)
after time on the line with O2 support they had no answers, so i rang samsung
samsung took literally seconds on the phone, i said about the 'sim network unlock pin' and he simply turned round and said its dead, a dead chipset thats in every phone they sent out in the last week, i was told this on friday 11th
samsung then spoke to the staff at the O2 store and advised them to mark all other galaxys they had as 'dead on arrival' and return them and for others to do the same
looks like a big batch issue so best thing u can do is send your dodgy one back like i have done, hopefully this replacement will work
I just got the Network Unlock PIN Message myself randomly after a reboot 7 days after purchase.
Has anyone tried using a TurboSIM to see if it works?
Sad thing is it was working one day and then broke the next.
Pretty bad that we have to pay postage to get their doa replaced. ( Specially considering that's about $50 for me. )
EDIT: Does anyone know what the STOCK firmware was when you got your handtec handset? ( From what I can tell it could be XXJF3. )
EDIT2: Success! After contacting Handtec they sent me a code to use, it seems to have permanently network unlocked my phone.
After a few emails with Handtec they were able to provide me with an unlock code after giving them my IMEI number. All is good again
I have a similar problem with T959 from TMobile USA. The phone was obviously locked to TMobile but I got the code from TMobile, entered it and phone was unlocked. My customer took home, used it for about a week and now the phone is network lock again and ask for network pin. So I enter the same code that was used to unlock it but now it DOES NOT work. So strange. But this happened before on other android phone and it worked, just re-enter the code. Anyone has a solution yet on this problem?
aaarrrggghhhh!
I have same problem but.... the unlock code Handtec sent me does not work
I have tried every method I can find on the internet to enter the unlock code (eg #0111*code#, #7465625*638*code# and even #7465625*638*# which pops up with a seperate box to enter the unlock code) and each time it fails. I've even done this after various full hardware resets.
Hantec have said the phone might be faulty with a software problem and to send it back to them.
I am in Cyprus and its going to cost me 50 euro to send it back. If I had paid an extra 50 euro on the Handtec price I could have bought it locally! Doh!

To enter the code you should put a SIM in, and start the phone, it will ask you straight away...
If you attempted to enter wrong codes too many times it will stop asking you and your phone is permanently locked until you return it to the manufacturer.
Oh noes, mine better not relock... :\
Just out of curiosity, how many 5's does your code have?

[POLL] Did you subsidy unlock (sim unlock) your G2?

IMPORTANT NOTE: Before choosing option 2 or 4 (G2 CAN NOT register to networks), open Settings > Wireless > Mobile Networks and attempt scanning for networks. If any networks appear in the list, pick option 1 or 3 regardless of whether you have voice/data access. Also, you may wish to try multiple sims, including the T-mo us sim included with the G2 package.
If you entered a subsidy unlock code in your T-Mo G2, please choose one of the poll options above. The purpose of this thread is to determine whether the source of the subsidy unlock code has any correlation with recent reports of G2s being rendered unable to register/see networks. Please see/reply to further discussion in the thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=805024
Please only reply in this thread if you chose option "Other (specify in reply)". General discussion about this issue should be posted to the thread linked above.
My code is from unlock-now.com and I got the same code from freeyourhtc.com
I can not search for or connect to any network (as you probably all know by now)
(and sorry I did not read properly that I should only post if I select "Other")

It's fine, i'm just tryin to keep all the discussion in the other thread so we don't end up splitting the topic.
Results look inconclusive so far. Looks like we might be hunting down this radio problem for a while.
this poll should be Pin on top, otherwise will be down to 2-3 pages and ignore
I am very interested to see the results of this. I'm currently in Japan and waiting on the unlock code.

Is there any resolution to this problem? I bought an unlocking code from

I entered the code, it confirmed unlocked and rebooted. Now can't see any network with the original T-mobile SIM or local network. Want to use this unlocked phone here in Brazil.

If you need a code for your G2. PM me.
I can help you.
I got a code from TMO and i tried to use it but the code would not work. I figured it was becasue i got it for one G2 and use it for another G2.
Was going to wait until im settled on a good G2 before i asked for another unlock code but from what im reading it sounds like these codes will work on any phone.
Is that correct??

Code is unique to each IMEI. If you give T-mo the IMEI for G2 #1, it will only work for G2 #1. Entering it in G2 #2 will be pointless and possibly even dangerous if you attempt to enter the incorrect code too many times.
No luck
Got code from third party unlocking solution. Entered the code. Successful unlock message, reboot.
Now NO SERVICE. can not search for and register for any network.

Thanks that's what I figured.
So these other unlock codes must be a different type of code?
Other
I have an unlock code from T-Mobile (that matches my IMEI).
When I entered it, I got "unlock PIN: Unlock success, reboot immediately!! OK"
I pressed "OK" but the phone seemed to hang at that point. (The OK button stayed highlighted.)
After a minute I pulled the battery and rebooted. When it came back up (with foreign SIM still inserted) I got the "Enter unlock code" message. I didn't want to try again due to T-Mobile's warning that there are a limited number of attempts until the phone is permanently locked. (T-Mobile later told me the number was 3.)
After this, I put the T-Mobile SIM back in and it worked fine.
I called T-Mobile and after talking to four customer service reps, they finally found a memo describing this as an active problem and that they were working on it. I won't try again until I hear from them (or I get a software update.)

[Q] How to SIM Unlock Note 3 N900W8?

Hello,
Me and my girlfriend are both going to India in December 2013. We are getting married -- YAY!!!
Anyways, we both live in Canada and she has Note 3 (Snapdragon LTE model) N900W8 with Rogers Wireless and I have the similar model with Bell Mobility.
I was just wondering if there is a way to SIM unlock these devices so we can use it in India.
My phone is rooted with TWRP installed but as I read through the forums that I cannot use the RegionLock chainfire method.
What do I need to do to get these 2 devices unlocked? I don't want to pay a high unlocking fee. (I found quotes from cellunlocker dot net and it costs $14.99 for Rogers model and $32.99 for Bell Model)
Please help!.
Thanks in advance.!

Hi man, I am in the same spot more or less, How can I sim unlock my Samsung Note 3 N900W8 with out a sim code? Is there a way by rooting? Or maybe there is another kernel out that I can flash etc?
Also Cellunlocker.net has not refunded me my money for a sim code for this phone. I have messaged them and they keep sending me replies saying "pending". So I would not recommend using that site for the N900W8. Cheers
I have used cellunlocker.net for my Note 3 and received my unlock code within an hour. Had no issue unlocking and done many phones using their services.
You simply need to use the generic "ALL CANADIAN VERSION" option instead of your specific carrier and it goes much faster.
What I would be concerned about the compatibility of the GSM Band in India...
You know... like trying to use a canadian Note 3 with Verizon... ? Not compatible.
---------- Post added at 08:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:57 PM ----------
Also... the region unlock is not for the sim but a specific lock on the phone initial activation that can prevent the cellphone from being used in a different region of the world. The lock remove itself after first setup.
Canadian SM-N900W8 do not come with region lock anyway. So not an issue anyway.
All you need is an unlock code for the phone Sim lock.
Eagerly waiting to unlock my device.
I wouldn't mind unlocking by SIM Unlock code, but the prices are way too much..
Plus you said cellunlocker.net doesn't work on canadian models, so I'm skeptical to even try it out.
cellunlocker is my last resort anyway!!

I was able to unlock a stock T-Mobile N900T by first using URDLV to root as outlined here: http://www.theandroidsoul.com/universal-root-de-la-vega-script/ Rooting did not trip Knox, still says "Samsung Official"
Then I used Chainfires Region Lock Away app, instructions as found here: http://androidfannetwork.com/2013/10/06/sim-unlock-t-mobile-note-3-for-free/ but since I didn't have a T-Mobile Sim, I skipped the first two steps, leaving me with this:
3. Install RegionLock Away app
4. Run the app, and instead of rebooting say Reboot Later (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT)
5. Power off the Note 3
6. Insert SIM of choice
7. Turned on the device – BOOM! no Region Lock, and NO SIM Lock.
I don't know for sure, but think this *may* work for those with N900W8 if the T-Mobile roms work with the same device. Follow above steps at your own risk, but please post results.

Heyy Just a quick question
I hear a lot about this Region Lock.
I never had the sticker warning on my box in Canada. but i see it on the boxes in U.S.A. and Europe.
Do you actually see on your phone screen itself saying "YOUR PHONE IS REGION LOCKED" ?
or something like that?
I am super curious. cuz on my note 3 which did not come with region lock stickers asked me for the SIM network unlock PIN (network unlocking message)
Noone so far has been able to show me anything close to region locking in real life yet. Many just show the SIM network unlock PIN message which isn't region locks
I am super duper curious
Thanks!!!

HI, there was nothing on the phone screen saying it's region locked. Just wouldn't accept the SIM from another carrier, I think the error message was "INVALID SIM" before.
This is something that a lot of people are coming to us to ask at the moment and I haven't seen or heard of anything that suggests once an unlock code is entered on the "SIM Network unlock PIN" screen, which 1sagain mentioned, that the region lock hinders the user taking the phone internationally.
We've provided thousands of unlocks since the region locks became active and I haven't heard back from one person informing us that the region lock is still stopping them using their phone abroad. Although it isn't direct evidence that the region locks are removed by codes, it is a large enough sample for us to feel the lack of evidence can be used as evidence in itself.
Essentially, from what I know, remove the SIM Network unlock PIN request = removes the region lock.

Hmm
I see,
Invalid SIM, however, implies many things as it has many factors.
Invalid sim can be due to incompatible network with your phone/old sim card that wont work on the note 3 but on other phones/plan on the sim is not compatible with your device/or Other damages or bugs
Best work arounds I see:
1. Replace the sim.
2. Try waiting at least 5 - 10 minutes with this sim inserted (knowing this is a fully activated sim card)
3. Make sure your phone is fully compatible with the Network (Make sure the Network doesn't use CDMA)
4. Make sure your phone is NOT asking for the SIM network unlock PIN (This means your phone is still SIM Locked (not region locked))
5. Restart the phone with the Fully activated new SIm inserted.
6. Call the new carrier you are using your unlocked phone with.
Many more things etc etc to try. etc etc

Thanks for the tip I will try using the "ALL CANADIAN VERSION". I did receive a refund in the end, so no worries about them stealing your money. Cheers

Hi
I am from India so sharing my experience.
Can u be more specific of phone model? Pl post exact model no & FW.
I have SM-N800 (FW N900XXUBMI2) bought in USA, used with US SIM in US & working in India wout any region/sim lock issues.
1. LTE Bands in India are differnt than in USA & Canada. So you Cant use LTE in India
2. 3G & GSM will work in India as they are global bands
3. If you are already using the Note3 in Canada, are they carrier locked? Have u tried by swapping SIM between 2 of you and still the Note3 works? If Yes, then your phone is already Region & SIM unlocked and you don't need any unlock code to use phone outside Canada.
4. You can also contact Canada Samsung Service center to confirm if your phone is region/sim unlocked. They can tell. Also carry your US Bills for phone to India in case you have to visit Samsung India for help for any other issue.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!!!

What is the risk in performing these steps with my N900W8? I requested a code to unlock my phone from cellunlocker and now it is more than 12 hrs and I didn't get anything back from them except pending. please let me what is harm in performing those steps without rooting the device.

Anyone try this method for the N900W8?
1.Remove the SIM from the Galaxy Note 3. Replace it with a SIM from another carrier.
2.Turn off the device then switch it back on.
3.Access the dial pad and type the following: *#197328640#.
4.Go back to the main menu and open UMTS.
5.Open Debug Screen> Phone Control > Network Lock.
6.Open Options and choose Perso SHA256 OFF.
7.Wait for 30 seconds.
8.Return to the main menu and choose back.
9.After completion, wait for the device to read "Network Lock."
10.Choose NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ.
If the user followed the procedures precisely, the device should read: "Asterisk Pound One Nine Seven Three Two Eight Six Four Zero Pound". Owners of Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and Note 2 can also use the following procedures to unlock their devices.

T-Mobile Galaxy S8 unlock with an Unlock Code

I have no Idea how to start but I will throw in whatever I have so far.
I ordered sim unlock from samsungsimunlock.com for $26 ($13 original price and $13 Pending Amount for Hard Locked phone). This morning I was provided the Unlock Code and an app called Network Unlock which looked like T-Mobile's device unlock app but was non functional. The instructions were clear, install the app and enter the unlock code when prompted, but only ended up with no Sim Unlock.
I checked Service Menu to find an option to enter Unlock Code but it was missing Phone Control menu option since T-Mobile restricted unlocks to their app.
Now I am wondering if I would be able to flash Verizon or ATT firmware and be able to enter the Unlock Code. I know people are still trying to figure out ways to install the firmware through Odin and no one has been successful so far. But I was just wondering if I would be able to change firmware to different carrier which has the option to enter unlock code.
Any replies or help would be really appreciated. And I can use my T-Mobile phone as test device if anyone has ideas.
You have to go through Tmobile's app if you have it locked to Tmobile's sim. Flashing another firmware may work but not guaranteed

I am facing the same problem...paid the $26.00 and got the code with the instructions. Followed everything and their app showed "Device is Permanently Unlocked" but when I tried another SIM card the phone showed that it was invalid and to use the T-Mobile unlock app
Working with the support people from samsungsimunlock.com right now but things don't look promising...
Did you reach out to samsungsimunlock.com or did you request a refund?
There code does not work at all and they are bs. I used blowfish unlocks and was able to get a code for the phone to be unlocked. The code works when you flash the rom for testing the phones. It accepts the code but when you reinstall the T-Mobile software the phone stays locked.
T-Mobile and there bul**** app... the app unlock server is down and I don't know if it will come back online. We will just have to wait for root and a unlock method
Just used the T-Mobile unlock app. It's been exactly 44 days since first use on the TMo network, so I gave it a shot. Easy peasy! Only needed a restart.
i just carried unlocked my s8+ from tmo,i send a message to T-force and they help me to unlock my phone in just 10 min,im from mexico and i bought it in brownsville tx
this site i explained to the after reading this and before ordering, they guaranteed me my phone will be unlocked which they failed to do ,now they dont reply to emails nor do they want to grant my refund requested

Just curious but when you said the code works when you flashed the rom for testing, did you try and then flash another carrier's rom (like AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon) rather than re-install the T-mobile software? Was it able to pick up a signal after it accepted the code while you were not on the T-mobile firmware?

Does that means if I flash another carrier's firmware phone will work? Or what do you mean by rom for testing?

SamsungSimUnlock.com are a SCAM!!!
Dear XDA people looking to unlock your phones,
The post below, is just a copy of this post (ht tps://forum.xda-developers. com/showpost.php?p=73084963&postcount=117), but for convenience I've copied it here:
Do not, again, DO NOT use samsungsimunlock.com. They scam people into sending them codes. I was scammed out of $26. Their website states they refund the money if it doesn't work, they don't.
Here is what happens (I've broken it down in a number of steps):
1. You go to their website, and order an unlock code. It states that it is $13. Great. You then wait.
2. You receive this e-mail:
Dear xxxx,
we have checked your order and found that the Unlock Code for your Samsung phone is available in our 'High Range' database because your carrier has locked your phone with a highest level of encryption (almost all new models like s8/s8+ are hard locked)*and we have*to use a Special New 2017 Unlocking Tool (which cost more than normal)*to get the correct*unlock code for your hard locked*Samsung phone.
The final cost for unlocking your phone is*$26.00
Below are the details of your order:
Phone Model
Samsung Galaxy S8 (Vodafone_UK_server#2)
*
IMEI#
358793/08/000000/5
Paid Amount
$13.00
Pending Amount
$13.00
To finish the unlocking process for your Samsung phone*please click on this link*and pay additional $13.00 to make the total amount*$26.00
*
Kindly note:*the new price for the unlock code ($26.00) is still the lowest for your Samsung phone which is locked by the high level of encryption. We guarantee that you will not get official correct unlock code cheaper than this cost on any other website.
*
Thank you

3. You click the link, pay, then wait a few hours, and then you receive this e-mail:

4. You download the app, enter the code, and it says that your phone is permanently unlocked. You are happy, restart the phone, enter new sim, and find out that the phone is not unlocked at all.
You find out that the app is just a dummy app, and it doesn't matter what code you enter, it always says that it's permanently unlocked. It never is.
5. You reply to them, tell them that the code is not working, and they stall with various e-mails.
Stalling e-mail one:
Dear customer,
*
we’ve got unlock code for your phone directly from Vodafone server and this code is
in 100% working condition, it`s official factory sim unlock code provided by official carrier employees.
Seems like the problem on your side. Here is some useful recommendations.
*
Very often unlock code is not working because our customers flashing on
their phones custom ROM`s which includes custom basebands. These
changes in the structure of the radio module (baseband) are not acceptable
to unlock and this may be the reason why our code is not working. So
please make sure that your phone using original stock ROM and original
baseband firmware and your phone never was modified before.
*
Also here is some helpful advises:
-Try to reset your phone to factory settings.
-Make sure that sim card is not locked by PIN or PUK code
-Make sure that sim card which you put in your phone is activated and has
positive amount
-Make sure that your phone was not lost or stolen before because IMEI may be blacklisted
-Contact a person who gave\sold you this phone and ask make sure that phone was not refubrished by manufacturer before.
*
Additionally please contact your network operator, the problem also may be
in the high level of lock encryption for your sim card. Please ask
your carrier to change the level of encryption to normal that`s will make an
unlock code compatible with the sim card which you trying to activate.
*

All this time, I've complied with their requests for screenshots and stuff. So, after eight e-mails, it's easy to conclude that this is just a tactic.
I waited more than two weeks for them to comply with the refund. They haven't.
6. You go on XDA forums to warn other users not to use them, because this is the place where I found that site, which was probably plugged by the scammers themselves.
7. Find another reputable Unlock code provider.
Ultimately I did find a website, and they sent me a code which worked flawlessly. I'm not stating which one it is, so that this post doesn't seem like it's from someone trying to promote a website.
So, there you have it folks. I have an unlocked phone, but my back account is $26 lighter.
If you have $26 that is just itching to leave your bank account, donate it, or buy some random person some flowers. Do not use samsungsimunlock.com
I will update this post if I hear back from SamsungSimUnlock.com

Why would flashing another carriers firmware do anything?
Did you put in a non T-Mobile mobile sim? If so were you prompted to enter an unlock code?
Hey peeps,
loaded the unlocked firmware onto the phone, so far so good, its now asking for an unlock code, which is what I want. Any recommendations for a reputable seller?
I've come from tmo where you're supposed to use the app, but if what Sheon849 says is correct, should be able to unlock with a code now...
