Hi guys, can someone confirm the distance between visible screen and corner of the phone. Basically from side to picture. How big is your black frame around the screen?
You mean the bezel?

Is it me (or just my G2), or does its whites look very warm? im coming from a TP2 which has white whites, and not warm/dim whites.. im using the screen test app to look at a full white screen at 100% & 50% brightness .. 100% gets whiter (less warm) by just a bit.. and 50% is really warm.. also, if u look closely (at an all white screen), u can see vertical lines (parallel up and down).. about 10-15 of them.. is that just me also?
Ok so I just compared it to my TP2, and there's a biiiig difference between the two whites.. like I said,, the TP2's white is WHITE.. and the G2 is very warm white/dim white.
So is it my G2's screen? Or is that just how these G2's screens are? But yea, the white on the TP2 is sooo clean, and not off white.

As far as I know the G2 has a super-TFT(LCD) screen so it's different than whats in the TP2.

They're both almost the same basically.. just one has a glass screen, and the other has a plastic screen.
G2 = S-TFT/LCD
TP2 = TFT/LCD

sooo is it just my G2?
So no one knows if my cream/warm white screen isn't normal for a G2?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
I think its just you. The whites look normal to me. If you really don't like the white colors on the g2 then justbeeturn it and get another phone.

Whites look fine here. Are you just being super picky or is your screen just defective? Would it be possible to post a video?

If you look at the Verizon LG G2 on their website and look at the photos that show the back side, you see the middle button has a white oval which to me looks like a LED indicator. So my guess is yes it has a LED indicator.

Yes the oval around the middle button is an LED indicator. I don't know if it supports multiple colors as I have only seen it white. I discovered this two days ago when turning my phone on in the dark. It's a nice touch actually.

Yes, it is an indicator and if your phone is face down, it will flash if there is an incoming call. I don't typically have it face down so I don't know if it applies to other scenarios or if has different colors or flashing patterns.

I have not seen it, but I have heard about it from the guys at PocketNow... Maybe it's carrier ROM specific?
Mine is the international version.

Yeah, sounds like it's common. Other screens have issues too. Like my Samsung AMOLED panels all had light and dark areas when they should be all black, but nothing could be seen when they were on. I'm talking about SGS I, II, III and Note II here.
Yes the screen has subtle lines that you can see in some angles when the screen is off. It's normal and every G2 has it (every phone/tablet for that matter but looks different on different models). It's the screens digitizer. Nothing to worry about. Without it your touch won't work.

It could be that you are seeing the pixel matrix. I remember something similar back on the HD2, but it was diamond shaped when the screen was off.
It's the digitizer for the display.
It's perfectly normal. Pocketnow said it even looks pretty. I have had it on my nexus 4, transformer prime amongst others. It looks like a mesh pattern right?
Normal bro.
It's normal, please don't return your unit as defective for that reason.
Just noticed this on a local store, black Versions of G2 seems to have a brighter LED front side. Just fancying about the comparison between the two. Anyone noticed this? my white definitely has a weaker LED intensity on stock both as compared to a black LG G2.
In my opinion, I think the LG G2 (Black) LED looks brighter because it is illuminating from a darker background (the black) whilst the White LG G2 looks less intensive as it is illuminating from a lighter background. So no, I don't think the LED's are different from each other, it just our eyes deceiving us. ^_^
Mine is black and my wife's is white, the front leds are exactly the same.
My buddy's girlfriend has the white LS980 for Sprint and I have the black VS980 for Verizon. My LED is definitely way brighter than hers, but we chalked it up to being slightly different phones for different carriers.

Well sir maybe, thank you for your insight. Damn eyes My mind is telling me sometimes that black variant LED is really brighter but maybe the black cover in which the LED is embedded is making it look brighter but heh, Just wanted the white one to be the same.

Thanks for this information Sir, by the way, I compared both D802 international versions, if you could post a vid with the two phones emitting some LED light patterns, it would be awesome , just wanted to see,

Same result for me, Im noticing that blacks have definitely brighter LEDs, especially whites, but they somehow equal on cyans and turqoise...

Hi guys, ive encountered some information that mostly the COLORED BLACK G2 is having more issues than the WHITE ONE. report from an LG service center saying that most of the returns and having defects are the BLACK ONES.
im not sure about this, can someone enlighten me with this? is there an LG expert here or an LG dev maybe?
thank you

Someone's seriously pulling your chain...
punch him hard...racist service centre..we are all G2.. doesn't matter black white we are all the same inside
Let's see, the black G2 is more popular than the white which looks too plastic. In some countries only the black G2 is available. It gets hotter when left in the sun. Yes, I can see why a service center would see more black G2s.
