If you look at the Verizon LG G2 on their website and look at the photos that show the back side, you see the middle button has a white oval which to me looks like a LED indicator. So my guess is yes it has a LED indicator.
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/device/smartphone/lg-g2
Yes the oval around the middle button is an LED indicator. I don't know if it supports multiple colors as I have only seen it white. I discovered this two days ago when turning my phone on in the dark. It's a nice touch actually.

Yes, it is an indicator and if your phone is face down, it will flash if there is an incoming call. I don't typically have it face down so I don't know if it applies to other scenarios or if has different colors or flashing patterns.

This is being discussed extensively in the international version forum. Those without red tinted blacks have smearing with grey on black colors, like in the menu screen. Those with red tinted blacks have little to no smearing. My device and a few other ATT S4 owners have confirmed that they have a red tint to mostly black screens in very low light. My question is, those of you with pitch black screens (even in a dark room), are you seeing any smearing or ghosting when scrolling in the menu screen? I want to see if the US variants actually have screens that don't have either issue.
Absolutely. I have the black crush pretty bad on mine. I went into AT&T today and checked the display models and both of them did it also. I made a video of it for those who don't know what we are talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yL5TV8kuxac&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I take it you don't have red tinted blacks in very low ambient light?
No. Blacks look pretty black in a dark room.

I have a brand new S4 from Bell Mobility Canada. The smearing/clipping as well.
Any confirmed setting/etc that can be changed?
I first noticed it scrolling the settings menu....I remember seeing the S4 video clips where that same menu used to be white....
i got it too.
I have the smearing but it turns out that it's not as bad as I thought it'd be. I'll have to watch some videos when I get home but for now I think I'm okay with it.
If you have smearing, download Screen Adjuster and change the red blue and green to +5 or higher. Its been reported to fix the smearing and keep blacks black. For the red tint black, nothing you can do atm.
have the same problem on the phone with fido
There should be a software update for this

Wow, that really helped a lot! If it's that simple to fix Samsung really needs to fix this with a software patch.

"bala_gamer" came up with this fix. Props to him. I agree, Samsung should have fixed this already. The "smearing" thread in the international S4 forum is getting a little out of control and Samsung just keeps dicking around, turning the red pixels on and off in each firmware iteration lol
I have an AT&T S4 and my black are 100% black. If I load a black image in the dark it looks as if the screen is off. How it should be

This actually helped to fix it, the issue was happening before and after the OTA, so it looks like the OTA didn't include anything to help that.
I had to set it higher though, is this hardware issue though?
I saw some ppl saying they didnt had the problem.

Everything ive read in the international S4 forum, except those very few who claim otherwise, suggest that either you have red tinted blacks OR you get smearing but have pure blacks...its one or the other. If someone really doesnt have either, i'd be surprised at this point. I thought maybe the US version was fixed, but no.
Its a hardware issue that seems to be addressable by software fixes, but if Samsung neglects it....well...thats a different story. Having to run Screen Adjustor and pushing the colors up is not without consequences. For one, i think its going to affect battery life. Someone reported that this fix made the slight pinkish tint on his screem even worse, so its not a perfect fix.
Per OP....I DO NOT have red tinted black. Phone is CRYSTAL clear and crisp.

I just got my G2 from BestBuy for AT&T, And holding it right up to my Optimus G Pro like going to the Menu or something white its such a bright pretty WHITE, but on the G2 its kinda warm white and its terrible! Compaired to my G Pro. Anyone else?
Also you know when you push real hard on an screen how it makes well hard to explain dont know what its called but I dont have to put much pressure on the screen and its like im putting a ton of pressure on it to make it do that.
Noticed the same things. Compared to my nexus4 the white is muuuuuch more warm/brownish on the g2.
Its one of those things that only really bugs me when i hold them side by side but hopefully a custom kernel down the road will help sort this out.

Well if this tint does not go away by tommrow back to Best Buy Goes the G2..
Run around to a couple stores and compare, maybe just some have the warmer tone, and some cold. That's a common issue with most phones and for the first time I don't really seem to mind. I much prefer warm to cold screens.

I wish I could do that, Closest 2 AT&T Stores are about an Hour Away! And they only had demo phones, I had to go to best buy which is also an hour away directly across from one of the AT&T stores Or I`d just go swap it out.
OP, are you gonna remove the 'AT&T' from the notification bar and change the ugly 4G logos like you did for the Optimus G Pro?
please say yes

i didn't try yet..but when you root and install trickster mod, right out of the box there's color calibration..i guess the kernel supports it?
I went and exchanged it, It still a tad warm colour, But the redish warm tint is not in this one like my first one
Time to Root after my shower and do some Build.Prop tweaks to turn remove the stupid AT&T software mods

Just noticed this on a local store, black Versions of G2 seems to have a brighter LED front side. Just fancying about the comparison between the two. Anyone noticed this? my white definitely has a weaker LED intensity on stock both as compared to a black LG G2.
In my opinion, I think the LG G2 (Black) LED looks brighter because it is illuminating from a darker background (the black) whilst the White LG G2 looks less intensive as it is illuminating from a lighter background. So no, I don't think the LED's are different from each other, it just our eyes deceiving us. ^_^
Mine is black and my wife's is white, the front leds are exactly the same.
My buddy's girlfriend has the white LS980 for Sprint and I have the black VS980 for Verizon. My LED is definitely way brighter than hers, but we chalked it up to being slightly different phones for different carriers.

I'm considering a V20. One question I have: does it have an LED, and support multiple colors?
I use Lightflow for my notifications. Different color and/or flash rate for notifications.
I'm aware of but not familiar with the second screen. I've read something about the notifications having a lifetime, ie will go away possibly before read. AS well, I think it would be easier to see notification lights and not have to even be necessarily close to the screen to read anything.
At any rate...does the V20 have the LED? Anyone using Lightflow?

You might not catch the message preview in the second screen but it's always on and showing what notifications you have
Thanks for the feedback guys.
It's a bit of a change going from a device with LED's to one without, but I ended up installing LED Blinker Pro and am using the on-screen notifications option (for devices lacking the LED light) and it works pretty good. Definitely worth the couple of bucks for the pro version.

Uh, that's not an LED
