On my 4.3 MK2 - rooted, I was trying to add a custom ringtone to one of my contacts within the contacts app but it would continually crash when trying to apply the ringtone. I found a solution on the Verizon support forums that seems to have fixed it, I have not rebooted to test to see if it sticks but it works for now:

Try this and see if it helps: go to phone settings-->More, then select Date and Time. Change the date format to something else then change it back to the format you wanted. Save and go back. Worked for me permanently.

do anyone uses pRSSreader?
I've installed it but it's not working. adding a channel - updates it. but when I'm trying to update the scond time it isn't doing anything. also I can't remove the downloaded channel content.
I remember I used also a previuos version without any errors.
It works for me great. I use pRSS 1.3.2 ßetá2.
In tools»site manager you create, delete or rename new groups or links.
In tools»cache manager you can delete info.

I've done this
The situation:
Added a few channels consuming 43kB on the Storage. (installed on storage card) That was yesterday. thinking everything is fine.
Today I've tried to update the channels - nothing happened, except the update buttons are graying out for 2 secs. the update dates at the channel propertes are still yesterday.
working with it with no problems except that I had to install it in the main memory. Using the storage card things go wrong. Maybe this is what happens with you?
Which version do you use?
If you wanna try pRSS 1.3.2 ßetá2

Did you try automatic update at 15 min with caching and mark new messages as unread before refresh?
What do you see if you mark all items as unread?
What happen if you mark all messages as read and close program. Restart program and refresh all channels?
I've installed pRSS on storageCard without any problems.
using 1.3.1 and works fine.
I've installed it on the storage card. downloaded the latest available version last weekend. possibly 1.3.1.
I couldn't work out what may be wrong so I've switched to pocketRSS. that works seamlessly from storage card.
recently, i havent been able to install themes downloaded from this forum successfully.
One of the theme i tried is anastasia and dinik theme. My whole clock is missing! icons missing on my home page. My slider( home page) cant moved. The only thing on my home page now is the weather. Now there is 'Title' word on the middle of my home page permanently too. somehow bits of my old theme is on my home page as well. Which weird because i deleted the old theme thru Device>Windows>Appmgr.
This happened before when i used another theme.clock, icon missing.
And now my phone doesnt go to lock screen anymore. I didnt change the settings at all.
My rom version is 1.48.
Pls help i've been having this prob for weeks alrdy. Thanks!
back up and hard reset would be my suggestion.
Oh no! Would u tell what caused this prob ? so that i wont repeat the same mistake again.
And hard reset-> my phone contacts gone too? how do i back up?
sorry for the trouble thanks.
you have probably installed a theme/tweak or mod that is incompatible with the version of either manila or windows that your device is running.
tons of methods to back up.personally all I do is sync my contacts with outlook.thats all I back up.
PHP:
But why doesnt my phone theme not return to the original theme even if i delete the downloaded theme?
Why is that even if i deleted a downloaded icon file or theme, it still remains in the display on my phone page?
sry asking so many qns.
When you install new mods and themes it quite often overwrites the existing files that you would consider the "original theme". So uninstalling does not bring the old files back - it just deletes the new ones.
As samsamuel says, a hard reset is probably your best bet.
Incidentally, whenever your lockscreen doesn't appear when you lock the phone, or when you can't open emails by clicking the preview in the email tab, go to start and then lock (bottom left menu option). That fixes that problem temporarily. The only permanent fix I know for that is a ROM upgrade, as 1.48 is oooooooooold now!
Kill 2 birds with 1 stone and just flash a new ROM.
it could be that the theme is badly written and just overwrites files that then cannot be restored, or the theme wasn't for your system so it's messed the registry, who knows? not me!
Oh. Thanks alot guys!
your help is greatly appreciated!
Just today i went to listen to some music and after a few seconds the music just stops, initially i thought it was because i had it on shuffle once or something but i didn't change any settings at all, everything looks to be ok and everything else is working as normal, the only thing i can think of is that i downloaded MemMaid quick clean but i didnt delete anything i shouldn't so cant think why this is happeening as it was working ok yesterday!
My phone was flashed with Laurentius Ultimate Power WWE ROM and is stable..
Anyone any ideas?
Same problem here. I don't use MemMaid, so the problem must be somwhere else.
I use Miri Xtralight ROM.
I had that problem a while back. A hard reset sorted it out, i think it was something i installed..not sure what
Soloution !!
I had the same problem and I contact the them and here what they said , and worked :
If you are facing problems with your audio player, I may suggest that you do a hard reset and and then install the update. Please backup your information before doing a hard reset as this will delete all personal data. Also please try the following suggestions regarding how the music is stored on your SD card. Please try this option – Make sure that all the mp3/songs on your device are in one folder and this folder should be placed on the ‘root’ of the SD card(so when you double click or tap on the SD card you should be able to see the Music folder straight away). You may more than one folder on the sd card say Music1, Music2… and each folder not exceeding 200 mp3/songs. Also please download the User guide if you haven’t already done so for your device from the HTC website for some useful information. I trust that this resolves your query, please do not hesitate to contact us again if required. Thank you for contacting HTC
hey i tired to change ring sound day ago

when im trying to save the changes
its make "thinking icon"
and all the changes reverse to old config
any advices before i flashing the rom ?
i tired to remove the battery wait or press the power on button and soft reset button and nothing
the way to do it hard reset
but i gonna flash ROM
edit
i had to flash hopely now i will not have to do it every 2 weeks
i installed vbn Rom got this problem again
still have the problem? try this solution here:
(LINK)
One of your programs might have deleted the "Volatile" folder, so
no Volatile folder => no WMPlayer => no MP3 playback => no ringtone.
Re-creating an empty "\Application Data\Volatile" folder usually brings it all back.
Hope this helps. If this solves your problem, please edit/add [solved] to your title.
im changing the the ring to something and nothing happend its still in none status
i had to Nandroid the other day. im on stock rooted EVO rom. i noticed i tried to send an email and it is stuck on sending status. In fact, it doesnt send. I recieve email with no problem, but if i check it on my phone, it does not sync up with my desktop gmail. im thinking something is wrong with the outgoing service... has anyone else had this issue? any ideas on how to fix?
hmm, i seemed to have found a fix... went to manage app's and force stopped, cleared data, and cache. syncing is back in order... hope this helps someone in the future.
Had the same thing happen to me recently. I tried force closing and reopening, but that didn't help...didn't try wiping the cache.
I did find another workaround that helps:
Issue 2565: GMail: message stuck on "Sending..."
Comment 8 by travis.swanston, Aug 09, 2010
WORKAROUND TO THIS ISSUE:
This is somewhat labor-intensive if you have a lot of stuck messages, but it worked perfectly for me:
1. Open "outbox".
2. Open thread with stuck message.
3. Reply to the first message in the thread, but when it presents you with the reply window, simply save the empty message as a "draft".
4. Back out of "outbox", and enter "drafts".
5. Open the appropriate thread. Instead of the draft you just created, it will instead open the first stuck message as a draft. From here, I think you can do whatever you want - either discard or send. If there is more than one stuck message in this thread, simply keep opening the thread in "drafts" - and each time it will move you to the first remaining stuck message in that thread. When you finally make your way down to the (empty) draft you just created, you can simply discard that.
6. Repeat this process for all stuck messages in the threads in "outbox".
