do anyone uses pRSSreader?
I've installed it but it's not working. adding a channel - updates it. but when I'm trying to update the scond time it isn't doing anything. also I can't remove the downloaded channel content.
I remember I used also a previuos version without any errors.
It works for me great. I use pRSS 1.3.2 ßetá2.

I've done this
The situation:
Added a few channels consuming 43kB on the Storage. (installed on storage card) That was yesterday. thinking everything is fine.
Today I've tried to update the channels - nothing happened, except the update buttons are graying out for 2 secs. the update dates at the channel propertes are still yesterday.
working with it with no problems except that I had to install it in the main memory. Using the storage card things go wrong. Maybe this is what happens with you?
Which version do you use?
If you wanna try pRSS 1.3.2 ßetá2
» http://pda.jasnapaka.com/prssr/«
Did you try automatic update at 15 min with caching and mark new messages as unread before refresh?
What do you see if you mark all items as unread?
What happen if you mark all messages as read and close program. Restart program and refresh all channels?
I've installed pRSS on storageCard without any problems.
using 1.3.1 and works fine.
I've installed it on the storage card. downloaded the latest available version last weekend. possibly 1.3.1.
I couldn't work out what may be wrong so I've switched to pocketRSS. that works seamlessly from storage card.

I'm using a T-Mobile MDA and installed MemMaid. It seems to work fine, except it doesn't find any running processes. The native Memory program (in settings) does find, say, Calendar, but MemMaid doesn't. Anyone have this problem? Any idea why? I also emailed dinarsoft.
I've got the same problem. When I soft reset I get the running processes but they seem to disappear as the device is left on. I also cant seem to get them when GPRS is on.
Same issue here with my K-JAM. Seems like a WM5/MemMaid issue.
Dinarsoft Knows
They emailed me that they are working on it and were apologetic.
New version of Memmaid
There is a new version of Memmaid which, confusingly, is numbered 1.5, which is the same as the old version. It corrects the problem with not seeing running processes.
Installation didn't go easily. It asks if you want to re-install over the existing installation, but then fails to delete it successfully and, worse still, says it can't complete the install, leaving a dysfunctional program. I emailed about this. In the meantime, I deleted the Memmaid folder in /Program Files and the three Memmaid programs in /Windows, and then installation succeeds. This is a klugy way to upgrade a program, but it worked.

This is a common WM5 problem. Best bet when upgrading any app is to uninstall first then re-install.
hey you all geniuses out there a few questions :
how to store incoming(bluetooth/ir) files on storage card directly ?
anybody tried a different /better bluetooth stack on universal and know where i can download one ? something with which i can browse using a pc without activesync ?
anymore wirelss(bluetooth/ir/wifi) hacks ?
thanx
I would also like to know how you can set your universal to save all incoming bluetooth/IR files directly to your storage card?????
The reason is because when my freind wants to bluetooth an album of MP3's to me in the pub i have to stop him after each song has downloaded so i can cut and paste them to my storage card otherwise they just dissappear if i run out of room on the phone.
Im sure Alot of people are finding this a problem and im supriase no one has raised this issue before.
Thank you for your help in advance
It seems that this little apps should solve your problem. But I haven't tried it yet.

Great find. It would be nice to know if it does work for the Universal.
hey thanx ! i tried it, it does work on the universal and stores files on the storage card even. I have tried with smaller files but will try with bigger files and check whether it is actually downloading files to storage card or just moving them there once the download is complete.

Hi everyone
*
I just recently bought an HD2 and already seem to be having problems with my storage card. It is 2GB and is already full (I only added about 5 pics and 2 mp3 files! I have all the default progs and stuff that comes on it after buying it new. I decided to update the phone with HTC's various 'updates' (hot fixes), one of which addresses the storage card problem. I followed their online instructions but it fails every time to run the .exe
*
Steps taken:
- Downloaded the 'storage card' update from their website to my PC
- Sync'd the phone to the PC and put the downloaded .exe file into 'My Device>My Documents>Personal'. Don't ask my why I put it their. I didn't really know where was best.
- Unplugged the phone from the PC and searched for the file using the 'file explorer'
- Tapped the .exe
*
Unfortunately I can't remember what the reason was for it not running but it was something to do with not being compatible with my device
*
Reasons?
Before trying to run the hot fixes, I had already updated the ROM. The ROM that I used is the latest one on HTC's website. Should I have run the hot fixes first?
Any ideas?
Please don't start 2 threads for exactly the same thing. It's annoying. Please go to the mod requests thread in the general forum and ask for this thread to be deleted. Discussion has already started on the original thread (and quite possibly answered.)

Please don't post on this thread
Sorry about that. Browser went into never-ending loading so I clicked back and did it again some time later. Obviously nobody really intends to do it and yes I find it annoying too.
Will get it deleted - thanks
Thanks man

hello!
when i got my storage card there was about 350 mb of manuals and other stuff on it that you dont need at all.. best thing is to format the card so you loose all that crap the way to do this is is just insert the card in your computer and right click on it in explorer and choose format.
or buy a new card, i have 8GB and that is also verry fast full. especially if you want an application like TomTom
you should run the .exe files on your computer with the HD2 connected through activesync that should work
good luck i hope i helped you

I can only guess you've never installed any hotfixes mate
You run them on the device, not your PC.

yeah you are right.. i never try to fix something thats not broken
Up until a few days ago, my HD2 was working fine. Then I tried to install Android. I used the one that you just copy to the storage card and run a file called zharet.exe ( !!NOT HARET.EXE!! ). I think it was Cotulla's ROM. First time, it crashed. Second time, meaning after I installed Radio ROM version 2.12, which is required (more specifically, 2.08 or above is required, but 2.12 was easier to find), it started and installed, then rebooted. Third time it worked and was able to send a text message to my stepfather. I switched back to WinMO to ask him if it got there, then I started Android again. It crashed, sending me to the boot screen of WinMO. Upon this start I was no longer able to run many files (executables), the running of which resulted in the message "The File *PROGRAM NAME* cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
I have tried numerous fixes:
Soft reset
Reinstalling the applications
Seeing if .NET Compact Framework was installed; the phone claimed it was, but I couldn't find any trace of it and so I tried to reinstall it. I was not able to, so I "uninstalled" it from the phone, which still thought it had it; the operation took no time, so I doubt it was there in the first place. When I tried installing it to the phone again, it said that this version was already in the ROM. Also tried installing an older version of the CF, but it just said I had a newer version.
Switching memory cards (3 different ones)
Renaming the memory card and restarting, a fix recommended to some other people who had a problem with similar symptoms. It refused to cooperate and said that the memory card could not be renamed.
My next step will be to rename the memory card using a device other than the phone itself.
I don't want to hard reset as I wish to keep my messages and contacts, but if that's what is needed to "un-half-brick" this phone, I will of course do it. The way it acts now, I might as well have kept my n95.
It is worth noting that HardSPL should be installed, as it was required for the Radio ROM flash.
EDIT: HardSPL install IS verified, boot screen reads as follows:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-1.42.HSPL XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x30
In this thread, Gargoyle999 is describing my exact problem: forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1882858
Keep in mind that this phone is Norwegian with Telenor as its carrier, although the phone itself is not locked and capable of using any carrier.
EDIT: The files that may not be run are mostly third-party ones, like MorphGear, zharet, Google Maps and so on. Most programs that came with the phone, like Copilot, Footprints and Opera work.
I am not too familiar with XDA, so forgive me if I am posting in the wrong section or making some other rookie mistake xD
I am having the same issued on one of my HD2's...anyone??? Help!!!!
This is NOT and android problem.
I'm not exactly sure, but it's a security measure in WinMo that disallows unsigned programs from running after the system has crashed due to those programs running, probably to protect the system from malicious programs.
All you need to do is disable security on it. There are various thread on this site in different places that tell you how to. Personally, I found the mobile security configurations manager(windows) is the best way. Just plug in your phone in WinMo, using activesync, open the program, and load device. Then you can just select no security, and provision it. It'll overwrite all the proper registery settings and whatnot for you.
Also, GOOGLE IT. I found all this information myself just by searching "Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file" +windows mobile 6.5
Yes, yes Google it...I understand...But guess what? I did and found the same utility. And guess what? I got another error when it tries to install a cab file on the phone and for whatever reason the cab file errors out...I came here after reading and trying a ton of stuff and happened upon the OP's topic today.
Another thing is I realize it may not be an Android specific problem BUT prior to installing the mattcfroyo build and then attempting to test another build I didn't have any issue installing a cab file from the SD card. Also before anyone offers about installing another SD card I tried that also and no haps.
Weird and I am still searching for a solution but again XDA is the spot and researching here has not provided me with a working solution as of now....sssooooo...HELP!? Or not...

Look up all of the google registry fixes, and try every single one of them.
If none of them work and the program I recommended doesn't work, backup and hard-reset.
then, when it's done first thing use that program to disable security.
Also, most custom ROMs have security disabled by default.
Well I just went ahead and flashed a new rom and I am good to go...
I have tried your application. Got the same results as lstrike, error when installing CAB file. Also, how am I supposed to edit the registry when I can't run third party programs?
Will flash Miri's ROM soon. Any idea of whether or not that one has security disabled by default?
sigh i got the exact same problem after trying to run andriod.... any luck?
same problem here, did anyone face the problem then resolve it?
I found the solution !
When the error appears just go to marketplace, download the free version of Resco Explorer
(Resco was the first official registry app I found but if there's another in marketplace i guess it will do just fine)
After this open Resco Registry (included in Resco File Explorer) and go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies
Then go to 0000101a and change DWORD Data value to 1
Now every thing is perfect and you can open all of your apps
Good luck !
Thank you, this solution saved my day!

I've used a fair few of this version: 7.918.9193 VGA and for each of them it installs ok but when using the program it will crash and reboot the phone anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes in.
I've deleted the Navigator folders before the next install and yet it still it crashes!
Any ideas? I only bought the phone cos I love TomTom! I'd be happy with an earlier version if needs be - I only need traffic and speed cams (which I have a subscription to) and I've called TomTom support so when I have the program stable I can hook them up through TomTom home.
Desperate for help here!
Cheers,
Joe
First of all what ROM & RADIO are you using? What other software is installed? It may be unlikely that these are the causes, but you never know.
Is TT7 installed on the phone or the SD card?
Have you ever had it running without a problem?
Have you tried redownloading TT7 from another source?
Have you tried a hard reset and then installing TT7?
Have you tried earlier versions of TT7 (ie 916 and the 917)?
Hi,
I've replied to the questions in line below in case it yields any ideas.
Two things also I'm wondering is:
1. Is it best to have it installed on main memory or SD?
2. I hear a lot about the quality and speed of SD card affecting the lag/performance of TT. What's the recommended size/speed/brand for an SD?
Cheers,
Joe

First of all what ROM & RADIO are you using? - Latest ROM from HTC - _HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship
What other software is installed? It may be unlikely that these are the causes, but you never know. - Nothing at all, fresh flash
Is TT7 installed on the phone or the SD card? - Currently on SD card, but have had it on both.
Have you ever had it running without a problem? - Yes, temporarily yesterday (I only got the phone yesterday). I flashed with the above, installed TT, got my maps working (I've transferred them from my old Xperia X1) then tried tweaking the bif files and read only flags on it to make my traffic/cams subscription work - possible point of failure here but this technique worked well on the old versions of TT I used with the Xperia X1. If TT has introduced code changes which are deep then perhaps this caused the crashes/reboots?
Have you tried redownloading TT7 from another source? Yes, many flavours of the version being used. Some with the extra BT files, but on last install (which has been working for 30mins now) I used the version with the BT files removed.
Have you tried a hard reset and then installing TT7? Yes, reflashed last night and then used TT without BT files.
Have you tried earlier versions of TT7 (ie 916 and the 917)? Yes last night before the reflashing I tried a few versions all with the same effect.

Just to add that it crashed again, so whilst I wait for some advice from the forum members I've stripped back the map folder to not include traffic.dat and speed cam folders, uninstalled and reinstalled to main memory.
It asked if I wanted to set home location etc so it looks like a "proper" clean install this time, will let it run and see how it goes.
