I found a way to enable it on my ATT D800 earlier. First download launcher pro from the market. Then on the LG home add the widget call actions from launcher pro. Choose the Home action and then one of the sub-choices will be Home with something like hidden menu underneath it. choose that one and then click on the widget. From there check the theme engine box and exit the app. Then hitting the menu key from the home screen on LG Home will have themes. You can uninstall launcher pro after

Do you mean home > Add Activity > Home > com.lge.hiddenmenuactivity ? This doesn't work for me. It creates an icon and clicking on it shows "Failed to open whatever" and nothing happens.
Can you be more specific?
Also, can someone with a working Theme setting for the Home screen upload the LGHome.apk here? It's under /system/apps/

Was just sitting around looking for the same thing? Used it to have direct links to my Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings.
found a work around for this...
Things you'll need.
1. Photos of the settings widget you'd like to add to your home screen. ( You might not need this depending on what setting or settings your wanting to use.)
2. Apex launcher.
3. Desktop visualizer.
After installing both applications open desktop visualizer and proceed loading the setting image that you'd like.
Once done you'll be prompted to select an action you'd like to correspond with the image. Select other then select apex actions, should be at the top of the list.
Scroll all the way down to the S category and select settings, should read 247 options, if not your at the wrong settings.
Select your desired function and your all set.
You can uninstall both applications. This won't effect any functionality.
Hope this helps and drop me line if it does.
.....
I am looking for this and I guess my question to you sherrouse is, why do I need photos and desktop visualizer? Can't Apex Launcher add a widget for any setting I want with some stock images and just work?

Unfortunately, I don't think apex launcher can create widgets that can be utilized by Touch wiz home. However the process might work if you intend to replace T.w home with apex as you daily launcher...

You can't. In addition, if you change an icon and then delete it, you have to remake the icon.

You should be able to double-click the app drawer icon, choose Edit, select the the current icon and from there, you can choose any icon, picture or photo as the app icon's replacement.
Icons can be selected from themes, icon packages, your own pictures, etc. Google Play store is your friend as are the plethora of FAQs found by using the search function.

Actually, I have never used a stock launcher, short of the original ADW Launcher.
I mindlessly change the launcher right after flashing a ROM and never considered it.
The very thought of it being a home launcher issue never crossed my mind.
Thanks for pointing out my oversight. :-\

What's "tap tap" ? Knock On? It works fine on various ROMs. And Knock-Off only works in the launcher or status bar on the stock ROM anyway.
My solution? Knock On and use AOKP and put a power button on my navbar. So I can turn on and turn off from the screen (in any app).

i know it only works with the launcher... i do own the phone...you know what i meant by tap tap. thats what im actually looking for is the launcher.
Why don't you just download a screen off app like this, Nova or Apex and set double tap gesture to launch screen off. It will be pretty much the same as the stock knock off feature.

When you are on the apex (or nova) launcher, yes. You might have to set the double tap gesture as a shortcut rather than the app itself for it to properly function.

Did you download a "screen off" app from the play store and activate it? There are a couple of them. What I am saying is that you might have to shortcut one of the apps actions in order to get it to work. If you just set the app to the gesture you'll end up opening the settings.

Confirmed working. Thank you
There are SEVERAL SOLUTIONS for this:
1. On AOSP/CM11 Roms, Knock ON will always work. It is a kernel feature and is not new. Custom Kernels have been doing this for a long time. So KnockOn is taken care of.
KnockOff Talk:
2. Purchase a Launcher that supports Double Tap such as Nova Prime. Download a Free app that locks the screen. Set Nova Double Tab to launch the ScreenLocker. Boom.
OR
3. Install LG Home Launcher that has this built in. Boom.
4. Find the AOSP KnockOff StatusBar mod in the forums. This gives the ability to DoubleTap the status bar in any app, just like LG does.
The Launcher is a different issue for KnockOff. I've never looked into it, but you'd need a lockscreen that supports double tap and launching of apps while locked. Another solution would be to try to find the LG Lockscreen app or have your favorite Dev try to port it over. IMO I really love the LG Lockscreen since you can swipe anywhere on the screen to unlock and assign quick shortcuts. Also the ability to assign a custom lockscreen wallpaper. LG Lockscreen > AOSP Lockscreen IMO.
But even with Nova Double Tap > Launch Screen Locker... that gets you 90% of the way there. Lockscreen and Status bar are just extras.

I share this gem with you courtesy of someone called Leftarmspinner.
TO ENABLE THEMES ON THE ATT LG G2.
1. Download and install Launcher Pro from Google Play (you don't need to set it as default launcher or anything) and Later you can uninstall. This enables the hidden settings menu, which most of us have done one way or another.
2. Add Activities widget to your LG Launcher home screen. Search for Home > com.lge.launcher2.hiddenmenu.LGHomeHiddenMenuActivity
3. Voilà now you have access to hidden settings from your Home screen. Look for the setting feature_use_theme and check it off.
4. You can now use themes!!!! How cool.

Here is another way
Anyway guys, I found a solution to acces to the hidden setting without installing Launcher Pro.
Just get "Any Shortcut" on the market (here (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oboenikui.anyshortcut)), then create a shortcut with these parameters :
*Application :* com.lge.launcher2
*Activity :* com.lge.launcher2.hiddenmenu.LGHomeHiddenMenuActivity (without a space between "Activ" and "ity" !)
*Action :* nothing
*Intent :* nothing
(See screenshot in attachment).
Then : create, your shortcut is done !
And you have access to the launcher hidden settings
