This is my original post about how my N1 died:
My Nexus One died, help me for possible resurrection
Turns out, there is an electrical component inside my N1 which is broken and it took way too much additional cost to get that replaced.
So, I created this thread as my farewell and last post. It has been a wonderful day since I bought my N1 until the day it died, thanks to this forum as I learnt so much about Android. :crying:
My next phone will be his youngest brother, Galaxy Nexus.
Can't wait until the end of the month so I can get some money from my salary to buy Galaxy Nexus.

Have fun with your new Nexus!
My Nexus One still rocks after > 2 years of usage.
Though the power and volume buttons are not so sensitive now.
I've received the famous seven vibrations in mine and already have my GN on hands.

He was just asking who here plans on purchasing the Note 2 and, although there isn't much point to it, there isn't any need to get offensive. But, back on topic, I will most definitely not be purchasing the Note 2 (regardless of how much of an improvement it is) as I am on 2-year contract that won't allow me to get an upgraded device for another year at least. Besides, the Note does everything I've wanted in a phone, so what point is there in replacing it? As long as I get Jelly Bean, which this device should be getting, I am happy!
I skipped galaxy s 3 for note 2. So I ll be one of the early sparrow.
But somehow I feel like getting my hands on xiaomi phone 2. Its half the price compared to note 2 or S 3.but not available here. So my choice note 2

There was no official release yet about the actual spec of note 2. I could'nt decide..
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
I'm not buying the note 2 purely because its a waste of cash to upgrade after a year to something slightly better, which I will make no use of...for example, why would I want a quad core phone when my Note runs perfectly fine at 1GHz playing games etc? The battery is a different issue though, I would like the slightly bigger screen size but it won't be that much bigger.
Finally...I won't be buying a Note 2 because there is nothing new in terms of a 'feel good about' factor, just a faster processor and bigger screen will only make me smile for a week or so and then die away ...then what?
Already pre ordered from my provider..

After bricking my Note into uselesness will punish myself and get the new Iphone on the first day same as I did with the Note.
I will buy it. Already arranged to sell first galaxy note to my friend for quarter of the price at october.
Maybe...I'm not sure. I'm trying to sell my current note as of now. Was thinking about picking up a galaxy nexus to be honest.
I don't know. My note is on eBay for now awaiting a good price...lol.
Haven't even decided if I will sell it for real. I guess time will tell.

Here's a weird-er answer.
I'll get it IF it has a better camera than the S3. If not...I have to say I'll be going towards the S3...
Or find something better to do with my money for a start.....
i know i should wait, and keep my Galaxy Note for atleast 1 more year. My boss, my wife and everybody that i know think i should wait...!
- But i cant...!
I have to have it... This has to be some kind of a mental illness.. But i need to have it regardless of the specs haha

No couldn't fix it, sold it for $150 and raised another $350, so for now I have an access to $500 for my new phone account ! ! .
Anyway now that I don't own a Note I don't think I even should be here in this forum anymore.
Good and better luck to you all.
I'll do what i always do....buy the first used ones showing up....after reading about the early adopters disappointments.
Then use my current phone as a backup and guinea pig for interesting ROMS I normally won't try
I already sold my N7000
and will take it if they put Exynos 5250 processor :cyclops:
and it seems they won't
I love samsung mobiles. Which other company can provide the satisfaction of using a phone for a year? A 28 thousand rupees (520 usd) phone for a year I think is reasonable. And I love the way the phone stops working exactly a month after the warranty expires. What's even more spectacular is the technician calling me and telling me that the motherboard has to be replaced for 9500 rupees (180 usd)
I love samsung. Going to recommend samsung phones to all my friends who like disposable phones.
What happened?

The power button started giving me trouble about a week ago. The phone would work fine for a few hrs and then the power would just stop responding. The power option menu would come up on its own, the phone would not come out of standby with the power button and wouldn't go into standby with the power button.
Thursday night the phone went into so funny kind of boot loop...like the power button was stuck or something. Recovery mode was accessible, but nothing could be selected using the power button.
Decided to take it to the service center. Got the call a few hrs ago.
Time to say good bye to the S2 and android.
Never buying Samsung again. God aweful quality. My HTC is 4 yrs old now. Ive dropped it, have had it in my pocket in the rain, modded it. Still works. My nokia is 6 yrs old. It still works brilliantly.

Maybe weird coincidence or maybe not, who knows.
Happens to devices from other companies as well. Take Sony for example. A friend of mine bought a playstation 3 and 1 week after warranty was over, it wouldn`t turn on...

This! I'm getting a Verizon Note II and it'd be nice to see my fellow Fascinate owners (and devs! :fingers-crossed on the Note II forums. My Fascinate has served me well for the past 2 years and I'll still use it occasionally as an experimental ROM phone (because I'm not planning on delving into AOSP too much with the Note II since it has some killer S-Pen features), but the Galaxy Note II will become my main phone.

Have fun with your new phone =)
Though I myself will go with a nexus device next time. Better prices and open source drivers so you can run any rom without having battery/performance issue's. (As you maybe know aosp roms on n7100 have ****ty battery life in comparison to a stock Samsung rom. Samsung roms also run games better because of it)

eFUSE has also been used in PS3 and XBOX360 and they couldn't break it.
Unlike the flash counter that Triangle Away resets, this eFuse – assuming that’s what the Knox indicator is actually marking – is a once-and-done deal and should be impossible to revert.

Guys. .. It's just that warranty is void on rooting and flashing roms. .. No triangle away. . That's all. . It doesn't mean there won't be roms or it is the end. .. Just that it is scary to buy an expensive phone and lose warranty...
But if you buy a phone in one country and use it in another country. . You don't have warranty. . Similar

Well people don't root there phones just to install custom roms , root is quite important to some people especially here on XDA , also i didn't really see much difference between my wifes note 3 and my note 2 .
samsung cmpletely redefined the meaning of 'security' with knox - they 'secured' their interests not ours.
what a crafty brain that designed knox ! i salute it :good:
the same key that locks doors also unlocks it ....
