Hi,
i have a problem with Samsung Video;
i'm on N9005 latest stock firmware never rooted, knox 0x0 and i was able to play Samsung Hub videos. On 08/12/2013 i was watching aSamsung Hub movie, i stopped it and when i tried to resume the movie i got a message saying: "This item has expired. Connect to PC and download licence". The BIG problem is that now i got that message for any content (Video) downloaded from Samsung Hub. I have tryed everything including full wipe with no result. I have also tried to put another Samsung account on my note 3, downloaded a free video (Helicopter) but i got always the same message. So the problem is not my Samsung account but my Note 3.
Anyone know how to solve?
Please help me.

Hi there. I have not got a solution for you, but rather the same problem. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and the issues started very recently - shortly after the last Android update, in fact. I have been in contact with Samsung several times and they keep proposing the same, useless solution: delete Samsung account, delete Video Hub data, sign back into Samsung account and download Video Hub data again. It does not work. I have just asked them for a refund for all of my downloaded content.
This item expired. Connect to PC and download licence
Same issue
1) Error code/message: This item expired. Connect to PC and download licence
2) Application version: Video Hub ver 1.1.83
3) OS version: 4.2.2
4) Date & time of error, and duration of error: All of tme
5) Description of error: When I try to play video that I have purchased, it will not play. Error as above.
Anyone know how to sort this out, these are videos that I have bought.
How do you download the licence?
Looks as though this will be a challenge, I see various reports of the problem but no solution.
I bought the videos and downloaded on to 10.1, they all worked, now they do not. I have them on SD card, a lock is now displayed against each film. I have just put card into a Tab 2 7, lock still showing but when I played them they acquired a licence and played. Put them back in 10.1 but they will still not play.
I then downloaded a new free film to 10.1 but this will not play either.
I then removed the 10.1 from the video hub which then removed all the films from the card and the tablet. Then linked it back to hub and downloaded one of the films but again it will not play.
Error constant - This item expired. Connect to PC and download licence.
I believe that the problem is with the tablet not the hub account.
Keith
After trying various suggestions from Samsung, they said that there was a problem with the software which they needed to update.
Yesterday the Video Hub did update but I still have the same problem.

HI all, this past weekend Kies popped up with a notification that there was a firmware upgrade for my Galaxy S. I immediately downloaded and installed it, I guess a newbie mistake. When completed I found that all my apps vanished and my settings went back to out of the box state. Though annoying I spent much of Saturday morning trying to get my phone back to where I had it before the update. The issue now though is that when I log into the market I find I am unable to download certain apps, I get to the install button on the phone then I get an error message "file not found". This is troublesome as there are a few apps that I had before the upgrade that I can no longer install, including paid apps, (examples Pandora, Pure Calendar) nor am I able to install certain new apps. I read that the market will no longer display protected content after this upgrade. I spoke to Samsung who told me to take the phone back to the Bell store. Bell told me to call Samsung as it is a firmware issue
Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know of a solution to the problem.
Thank you

Some people suffered market problems after upgrading to the UK-released JM1 last week. Apparently Samsung has to notify Google that they released an official update, so that Google allows access to paid and copy protected apps for that firmware. It took a couple of days for everyone to see everything over here. Maybe you just have to wait a bit (?)
Same happened here in Australia.. It was fixed the next day. I called Samsung to complain about it (when it was still happening) and was told that there was nothing they could do (which seemed like rubbish to me)..
If you are updating to a unsupported (beta) fw, make sure you install a rom or replace your build.prop file with a supported fw file.
Hi my phone is a month old now, everything is stock..no mods so far..I am having multiple problems with my phone.
- I cannot download anything from Market..it starts download and then 'download unsuccessful'
- FM radio never worked for me, not even after manually tuning it.
- I am not able to use wifi..it just says 'obtaining address...'
I did a factory reset yesterday and after that I was able to download 2~3 apps from Market..but today I am facing the same issue again.
Please help me guys..
Thanks guys for the help, it turns out that the issue was exactly what you said, but maybe more to the point, my own impatience.
Thanks again

I am on the Captivate running the beta I897UCJH2 firmware. I have market issue with some apps (e.g., Asphalt 5 HD, Fandango, and G4Tv) not showing up. I tried your method of copying over the build.prop file from the official I897UCJF6 firmware release. Even rebooted after doing that. The missing apps never showed up, so I reverted back to the JH2 build.prop file. Any other suggestions to fix my issue?
P.S. - Spoke too soon. This does work. Someone suggested clearing Market cache, followed by reboot, and then installing and reinstalling a couple of apps. And that did the trick.
from what i can gather it seems to be related to a location issue, as in certain apps will not show up for some countries and other apps will, etc.
so if you load firmwares from different geographic location the market is filtering what it allows/not allows bassed on the rom firmware location.
it'll be great if we can remove that filter and have it show everything online.
the work around that i do is find and download the apps via browser, instead of market
also avoid the barcode scanner downloads, which just launches the market app

Are you saying there a site where I can get the all the apks for these missing apps downloaded by bypassing the market? I have never run across it so far. Every one of the solutions so far has the phone launching the market app at some point, which fails, as the apps are not listed or downloadable there. The apps I am talking about are all free and should be legally able to be sideloaded, but how?
Samsung released Allshare a DLNA App for Mango WP7 Phones.
I couldn't find it in the Samsung Zone...
But it poped up in the Search when i clicked "more from SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS Co., Ltd." on the Details View from other Samsung Apps.

Oops
"This device doesn't support AllShare." error pops up

Maybe it needs the XXKH2 for its drivers?
same here,
I8700XXKH2
2424.11.8.2
3.15.0.4
3.7.11140.0
5.8.0.8
allshare
I have the kh2 rom on my omnia 7, but allshare dosen't Work .
Sorry for bad english.
Just got the Samsung update for my 7720.68. But this doesn't work. The same goes for "advanced text messages".
I can unfortunately confirm neither work for me either (I went from 7720 RTM to official Mango about a 1/2 hour ago).
Not on Focus, either

Its ment to ship on the Omnia W and Focus S.
So maybe its only for Mango based phones
I just checked it. It specifically excludes devicenames "OMNIA7" and "SGH-i917" (= Focus). I patched it. The checks are removed. I was able to start the app, browse a DLNA server, but as soon as I select media it opens a screen with "Select device", "Loading...", "no device found". There seems no way to play any media. I haven't tried to send media from my phone to a DLNA player (I'm at work, I'll try that when I get home).
By the way, I'm on Omnia7 with Mango RTM and latest Samsung Driver/Radio Update.
I'll attach the xap, so you can try it yourself.
Ciao,
Heathcliff74
Well, this app is really, really not working on my Omnia7. The 'unlocked' app simply won't play and won't share anything. I don't understand why, because DLNA should just work on such a device. No special hardware requirements. Meehhh.
Heathcliff74
Does it need a driver that wasn't included in the new package from Samsung?
Yeah, that's what came to my mind too, some external driver required.
We need dump (or the ROM itself) of Omnia W or Focus S . Anyone?
I got samsung allshare in my galaxy s, it needs allshare installed in the server pc or any other samsung device that supports allshare.
cant test the above patched app because my omnia is not "rooted"
just my 2 cents.
Anyone tried this:
wmpoweruser.com/how-to-enable-samsung-allshare-dlna-app-on-the-samsung-omnia-7?
(sorry apparently can't post outside links :S)
Given Heathcliff74's experience after removing the check for model i wouldn't have expected this to work.
I can confirm it does load and get past the initial error message but I'm at work so i didn't get a chance to test streaming to an allshare device.

You can download AllShare to your PC and then stream media to your phone.
http://www.samsung.com/global/allshare/pcsw/
I've tried but problem is, my phone does not see my laptop running Samung AllShare, I tried to disable firewall but no go.
Same here, tested with 2 allshare Samsung devices.
Also the the omnia media files are not enumerated.
Sent from my OMNIA7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
to get it working load the the app up but before the error message pops up press the home button then hold down the back button to load multitasking then tap on allshare and it load up now you got it working

Or you can download the patched version I attached in an earlier post. But either way, it doesn't work...
I can see my pc folders but cant open its content (simple pics in my case).
I can see file names of pics but then no pic is shown
I noticed that pc doesn't recognise my phone as connected.
Ok. The app seems to do a little more than I thought it could do.
This is what the app CAN'T do:
- It can't play media from other devices on the phone (app simply does not do that).
- It is not possible to play media from the phone to another device. The app supports it, but the drivers don't. The app now tries to open a file-list through the drivers. Samsung could easily update the drivers or the app to get access to the media files on the phone.
- It is not possible to play media to a DLNA DMP (Digital Media Player). A DMP has browsing capabilities, but do not support "Play To".
This is what the app CAN do:
- Select media from a DLNA DMS (Digital Media Server)
- Play it to a DLNA DMR (Digital Media Renderer). My TV (Sony Bravia KDL-40W5500) officially supports only DMP. It has some DMR capabilities (I can configure it in the menu). Allshare sees my TV, but the combination does not seem to work.
Maybe I'll try to patch it later on to give it access to the media on the phone. But this is not high priority for me now, so if I do it, it won't be anytime soon.
Ciao,

Hi All
I wonder if you could be of some help.
When I purchase my note I was given voucher codes which included Samsung movies.
I wouldn't normally purchase DRM protected files from anywhere but as they were 'free' I thought I may as well.
Now, to play them on the note you have to first play them on the PC to get the usage rights. My problem is that WMPlayer tells me that the WMV DRM component encountered a problem and won't play the file.
I have uninstalled WMplayer 11 and reinstalled, reset my DRM library and made sure all the correct settings are checked in the WMplayer 'privacy' tab, all to no avail.
Has anyone else encountered this or is it just my PC?
Thanks for any help
After one single DRM-protection purchase of a song on Nokia store years ago, I quickly decided honesty isn't worth all that hassle. Really, go to a torrent site.

Seriously? I got a voucher code too (from the "exclusives" tab in the Samsung Hub). Was then asked to download Samsung Movies which I did. Then needed to register. When I do so it takes my details (including email address and a password, but without asking me to choose a username). It says "account created" - but it doesn't then send me any email etc. and trying to login using email address or surname as the username fails.
I was going to email the 3rd party who runs the site to complain but given your feedback I don't think I'll bother, Viamonte's solution is soooo much easier (and from the look of the movie selection, I've already torrented all of the content they host which would have interested me anyway
Thanks for your replies guys...
I usually get my films from 'other' sources too but thought i'd use the voucher as it was free. There were a couple of older films which interested me, from the 30's, 40's and 50's.
@ -pigro- I had to email them too to get them to enable the code at their end! seriously, I wouldn't bother if I were you.
Anyway, I'll download the movies from other sources now as I've 'paid' for them ...
Thanks both anyway.

Hello guys. im expericing some issues with almost every kitchen rom around. Im from Venezuela so samsung link tracking is available for my country. so after trying a couple roms around i decided to flash the original stock 4.3 from russia SER . Wich is very cool and smooth. But i consider that it has too many sammy useless stuff (in my opinion) pre-installed.
I flashed the Desamsungnizer script 4.1 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507931
Wich deleted almost every single samsung app in my stock rom. So i've got more internal memory and some faster touch wizz sense.
so, because im a samsung link user i installed from the play store the app (samsung link all share play) . . but it never logs in always shows up a message saying "cannot autenticate with your samsung account please try later or delete ur samsung account and try again" some thing like that.
So i just copied the allshareplay.apk from my S3 to the system/app folder and finally samsung link worked flawessly.
BUT i cannot track my phone from the Find my mobile web app because it never shows as Online.
I beleave there is some file wich the samsungnizer deleted that controls the gps tracking or something. tried tracking my phone from AVG website and i got no results. Seems like my phone is not connecting at all with any tracking app.
So. has any of you guys any idea about wich could be the file that controls that tracking functionality?
Hya everyone,
I have been using VOD services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All4 and 5onDemand on my Xperia Z1, and my wifes Galaxy Note 4 without any issues.
Recently we bought an android box, a CS918 and it's been great so we can watch all our shows and what not in bed, we even rooted it to get xposed and remove adverts. Unfortunately even though BBC iPlayer and ITV Player works, both All4 and 5onDemand don't, they just refuse to play any video.
The applications start perfectly fine, i log in into my account, but by the time i start a video and it appears to be loading it, it spits an error saying it can't play the video.
Now, after doing a bit of research it seems like all the 4 applications are made by the same developer which would make sense, but then again, half of the applications work, and the other half don't.
I did a lot of research but there was no information available, and i am questioning if it's to do with the CS918 box being rockchip, or maybe it having a tablet version of Android.
At this point i would love to get any help, it would be great if we could get those services working, that was a big point of getting the box, and we don't want to get rid of it, or have to purchase anything else.
Any help would be great, maybe cause we got rooted it there is a solution?
Thank you!
Would anyone know what to do ?

Unfortunately, just because an app installs, it does not mean it will work correctly.
Because some apps can play video, it is likely the other apps just are not currently compatible.
You could contact the Developers of those apps, and ask if they support your device, Most apps in the play store have contact info on the app's page .
