HTC One Dual SIM (802w elsewhere) coming to UK direct from HTC - One (M7) General

I couldn't see a thread talking about this specifically but what do people think of the Dual Sim being officially available in the UK?

MOTO G ~ Dual Sim Edition

Hi Friends,
This Thread is about the Dual sim version of MotoG( A budget friendly Phone with premium specs launched by Motorola). Apparently its not been released yet. I sense its soon going to be!
I know there are Guys ( l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ .. like Us) out there who want to support the Development section ( Custom ROM development , Kernel development etc.)
The Developers need to witness your support so that they decide to develop for MotoG Dual-Sim Edition.
So Join us (Replying/Thanks) below in this Thread and show interest so that we have everything ready by the time MotoG gets released!!
Remember,
More Support -> More Developers show Interest -> More Mods, Tweaks and Customisation follows.
Regards,
Shikhar
I'll definitely hope there'll be a dual sim development since I suspect that south east Asian version will came with dual sim.

+1 for this post bro.
Im with you.Im ready for Rom testing.
I love to support developers .
Hope there will be more developers for Us.
Will single sim ROMs work on the dual sim phone? Even if with just one sim. I just need one but the dual sim version is cheaper here.
Already released here in Brazil (8 gb single sim, 16/8 gb dual sim). Hope there will be development for de dual sim version.

I am rather surprised to know that a Dual sim version costs less than the single sim phone.
coming to your Q. single sim Roms may work on a dual sim phone. but its neither advisable nor required as the Dual sim variant will get its own RoM s.
BTW from where do you belong?

I am from Brazil. Actually, from Motorola's store the single sim is cheaper, but it isn't sold outside Motorola's website. As other stores charge less for the phone, and they don't sell the single sim, the dual chip is cheaper than the single one from Motorola.
I would also like to know whether a Custom Rom can be developed for the Dual SIM version. I would like to buy it because of the 16gb internal memory, and I don't care about a second SIM - if a custom rom works as a single chip mode in this device, I would be very happy!
Anyone have any idea whether this is possible?
I'm from Brasil mine 16GB Dual Sim arrived yesterday... I'm loving it =)

At that price, I will stick with a single SIM one
So the dual-sim edition has only started shipping in late November but only in Brazil so far?
Any quick reviews yet? I think people are especially interested in learning how the differentiating dual-sim function has been implemented. E.g. can both sims operate data and voice simultaneously and how are the two connections managed (interface)?
I have a coworker in Brazil, and i asked him to buy me a moto g. If he cant i probably will ask to felipeap to bring one to Spain

i hope there will be custom on dual sim version as much as single sim version because in my country doesn't sell single sim version
DeLonge, Where are you from?

It may take a lil longer as only specific countries are being targetted by Motorola. Which means only a few developers actually getting their hands on this deivce.

Should I buy Lg G2 from USA?

Hi guys, i'm Alessandro from Italy, I noticed that in ebay they sell a lot of sprint and verizon lg G2 at very good price. Do you think that if I'd buy one of those telephones it will work in my country or will I have problems with the 3g network?
Thanks a lot in advance

The Korean model is indeed a bit better, but not enough to call him crazy for buying the regular one.

The Verizon model is GSM unlocked out of the box, so GSM voice and 3G will work over in Europe. No LTE. As for Sprint, no, don't bother as it is locked and Sprint will not unlock it for you over in Italy.
Having said that, I would just stick to a proper GSM version or the Korean version.
Thank you very much guys, I've searched on ebay and it's not so simple to find the korean version, I think that i'll buy a verizon one (i don't Actually need lte yet)
yeah but check if the Verizon frequencies are the ones used in Italy, otherwise you're going to have a fun time not using it lol.

hello there, i am in korea right now. i plan on buying this phone though i am not quite sure if i will get the korean version or the international version. the sd card slot and the extra battery is a big plus but i do not know of any good roms for it. can you guys please recommend a good custom rom for the korean version? custom rom is the biggest deal breaker for me because i read that lg is bad in its software support. thank you very much.
not sure about customs, best do a search on your desired model number, read the threads that are found

£380 UK 429Euros
LONDON -- Motorola is bringing its flagship Android phone to Europe. The Moto X will go on sale in the UK, France and Germany in February for £380 or 429 euros, the company announced today.
Previously only available in the US, Canada and Latin America, the Moto X follows the low-cost Moto G to Europe. It will be available on contracts starting at £25 per month in the UK.
"At Motorola our roots are deep in mobile hardware -- we invented mobile communications," said Motorola Mobility UK general manager Andrew Morley.
"Now, as a Google company, we've become the kind of company that can build a 4G smartphone like Moto X. It fuses our history of mobile innovation with the best of Google mobile services."

Still more expensive than the US version If you do a direct currency conversion
Also Its not clear If they're bringing both 16 & 32GB and If they are then I expect the £380 to be for 16GB, so 32 could be potentially in the £400 region
EDIT: Seems they are bring the 32 along but havent mentioned a price
Moto X UK Website
"2 GB RAM, 16 GB standard, 32 GB version available online. 2 years 50 GB storage free on Google Drive. Offer must be redeemed within 30 days of activation."

IMO, no. When you can get the 32GB Nexus 5 for £339 inc. VAT SIM-free why pay £41 more to get a smaller phone with a lower resolution screen. OK, you get the voice controls/active notifications (which does look pretty cool!) but I don't think it's worth it. Add to that we don't get Moto Maker here for now and it's all a bit late. I'd rather get the Moto G as a cheap backup for my Nexus
Having said all that, it might be awesome. I'll have a play when I see one
I like it more than the nexus because it fits in my pocket and feels more luxurious in the hand. Mostly, I wanted a smaller phone than the flagships. But the smaller screen also means much better battery life.
Is it worth the premium? Depends on what you care about and how price sensitive you are.

Why is that a bad thing? You've got it sooner and probably at a lower price compared to 400€ European price?
Is it truth that European Moto X will have no main European LTE bands?
4G LTE bands - (GSM Unlocked model only) - 700/AWS/1900MHz (B17/B4/B2)
Source: http://www.handtec.co.uk/motorola-moto-x-16gb-black.html
Will get European LTE networks
Moto X will get European LTE/4G-networks, just check here:

Let's see how much 32gb model costs. I really like this phone, more than nexus 5.
Sorry for my english
It should be the exact same LTE Bands from the Brazilian and other Latin American models. XT1058

449,- I think
399€ 16gb. I'm thinking on buying it but I have seen there is not to much development of this phone. The thing is: nexus 5 32gb 400€ or moto X 32gb "450€"
Sorry for my english
Do they know if its running 4.4? My Rogers version is still on 4.2.2.

It's a bad thing because I've got the moto X DE which doesn't support European LTE bands and the price was about 500€.

Is that correct? The EU main LTE bands are 800/1800/2600. I'd have bought the Latin American one if I'd known that it supports EU LTE frequencies. But the guy we negotiated about told me that it only works on LTE 700 (I think he was with Claro Puerto Rico). I could have never get the complete information about the Latin phones. So, please, what is the real configurations of those models relating their providers? What HSPDA and LTE frequencies are covered? Have they gotten 4.4 already? Do they have locked/unlocked bootloader? Any bloatware or stock?

All those frequencies you mentioned are supported by the Brazilian Model XT1058. You can unlock bootloader and it doesn't have any bloat beside one app called "Brazilian apps". It already has KitKat 4.4, but if the european version gets 4.4.2 I will flash it on mine

Q Second Party T-Mobile Carrier Locked S5

My son bought a Galaxy S5 from a pawn shop but when he put in his Sim Card it was Carrier Locked. He went to T-Mobile and was told that the phone is locked by them because the previous owner had not paid his commitment on the device and there was nothing they could do for him.
It there a way to unlock this device? I have been searching but haven't found anything related to this type of locked device.
Suggestions and help is appreciated

Moto G 4G Lollipop News 13/03/15

Hi,
Just to inform that on Saturday I received an e-mail from Motorola Feedback Network saying that they will begin the soak tests in Moto G 4G in Australia and asking me if I want to participate if I live in Australia.
Don't know how long it will take too reach Europe but it's good news that they already have a lollipop version for this device.
Received the same email in Brazil.

Speaking about a Soak test under a NDA is a good way of getting yourself booted out of it, just saying.
