Craigslist App

Someone should create a Craigslist application unless a free one already exists I don't know about? Lol.

and also a kijiji app

I think windows mobile is the only OS that doesn't have it. My friends have it on their Droids and iPhones.

I have been recently wondering. If an app has been created for droid and Iphones. how hard is it to make the exact same or similar app for us WM users?

It has to be built from the ground up for WM...android and iphones are based on the same core technology in terms of the OS, but WM is a completely different beast. That's why you'll usually see the android and iphone versions of a software title appear at almost the exact same time, and then rarely if ever a matching WM release

ah, ok thanks for explaining that! I try really hard not to be upset about the lack of random apps for WM but if I really cared I would have ended up with something other than my HD2 lol

why do you need an app?
Seems like cl works just fine using the browser. I also have used the browser for google voice, gmail, etc... they all work fine (of course you have to do some zooming at times to select links).
The one thing I haven't found yet is a very good web based im client. I've played with ebuddy but am not sure if it's very good yet.

Any RSS reader can read Craigslist. Some RSS readers have alarms for keywords as well.

For the same reason that dedicated apps exist for Facebook and anything else-- a native app can offer a much easier and faster on-the-go experience. Craigslist is a pretty simple site, but it still requires lots of panning and zooming to use on a phone. A solid mobile client would take care of that.

Just wondered if you had the time to write a more "touch-friendly CL app" yet?
I would love to try it.

You could just save your local CL as a bookmark and attach it as a quicklink.
It helps if you add as a browser tab, and go into the site. This way the sites page is saved as a icon image. Then make it a quicklink.

I already answered this before but I'll say it again, you've got to be kidding me. I've been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? Come on people give me something why won't it stream the movie clear at muchmovies.org on my note 3 but it will on mu mom's iphone. I'm a noon to this so I don't know how to post or anything just give me some ideas please. Thanks

There are a few things I could have you try, if you were rooted. But since it seems you're not here are a couple of other things you can try.
Go to settings/storage. Click on cache data. Select ok to clear and restart your phone.

Also long press home, select task manager. Go to RAM tab, and clear memory.
Also, are you on the latest update? What browser are you using?

Thank you for your advice I'm going to try that and yes my phone is updated with the latest software. What is strange is that it doesn't lag on YouTube it's just seems to be there. But it makes me mad because it's a great site to stream new movies and it works fine on my mom's iphone. I am using Google Chrome when I go to try it. Thanks keep up with ttrying to help the new guy.

I'm using the stock browser and it worked fine on the movie I tried. Great quality, quick loading.

Flashlight app isn't lighting up the physical camera flash? See if it requires root access to do so, and consider rooting. Rooting = admin access on your phone basically, good to have if you don't care about warranty

Check in your widgets for "assistive light". It does what you want without any 3rd party apps.

So I got this strange update notification from the play store. I think since no one was accepting the security updates a while back they decided to sneak it into the play store. Are any of guys seeing this as well?

Yup, got this one as well. Definitely going to try my best not to fall for this one too. I'm assuming this is all related to KNOX which I never have wanted, do not want currently, and never will want in the future.

It honestly looks like they are trying to possibly patch something. Maybe a possible root exploit? Lol

Agreed, I seen similar posts mentioned in the Q & A section here and about people with Dev phones going ahead and taking the updates.
Personally, I will not accept any update regarding security, ect... period due to the comments listed. I don't trust Samsung or Verizon as they are obviously determined to block any attempt at achieving "root" on this device if that even becomes a reality.

At least they sort of explained what it was finally. It does look like a way to update blocks to root exploits.

Yeah, I got it to. I took it will no ill effect. The security updates that come through the Play Store will not effect an unlocked bootloader in the case of the Developer Edition Note 4s and will not cause a rooted phone to loose root. The Play Store update is only an update to the security app that comes stock on all Note 4s.

mine auto updated even though I have auto updates off... so i uninstalled the update

I don't have that one in the play store, though it comes up at least once a day through the phone.

So.. Anyone can confirm what this update do?

Questioned Samsung on Twitter and FB
When I questioned Samsung on this, I received two responses. The first that it was a third party app they don't support. The second was that they were looking into it. It has since disappeared from my list of updates.

I believe this is the service that gets updated. I have not been able to find it in the okay store either. Saw it once when it auto updated on me, not since.

I'm pretty sure it's the app itself that's getting the update. What would be considered sneaky is if they update the app and changed the policy so they can force a security update without you agreeing to it.

I propose we take this time to put some pressure on Samsung Mobile and Samsung Mobile US to Free the Bootloader for the Note 7. As faith in Samsung's products are waning do to multiple products having safety issues and new and old are losing perceptive value it may be time to put the social media pressure on them to unlock the Bootloader. Ya, u might have more luck asking for the next device to have unlocked bootloader as they have written this one off. Still a long shot but better than doing nothing.

THIS is what everyone should be doing. Petition for the bootloaders BEFORE the phone is released.
The only message you will ever get from Samsung on this device is power down and return.

Samsung should make it so we have no desire to root our phones or need custom roms. By this point they need to work on the audio. There should be no reason why an app like viper cant be made. Instead they give us constantly crappy audio and laggy phones.

Thing is there will always be a reason to root and a lot of those reasons aren't a function of how samsung does business but rather a function of how android is designed, one example being adblocking. Even with those ones that route through a VPN that don't require root, they pale in comparison to Ad away.

Not going to happen. Phone is officially a write off so your chances of them pushing update to disable phone more likely than lobbying against unlocking broader on a recalled device. Furthermore to have one unlocked will hurt their bottom line, they only listen to the green backs. They always complain for security reasons for what they do but funny part is that custom roms (CM etc) don't have those security (stagefright) issues cause they are identified and patched before the masses sees it. They just want more from everyone and will always label us as pirates and hackers to keep the sheeple in line.
