1. It works perfectly on CM10.1/10.2/11. Might have to root for full support on stock.
2. Nope.
3. No idea on this one. You can unlock it for worldwide GSM, might work with CDMA.
4. Nope.
5. On stock, I believe so.
6. Yep.
Thanks for your replay

I read on another site that Samsung/Sprint removed the TV OUT function from the EPIC 4G. I am specifically referring to the 3.5mm to RCA cable that would allow you to view whatever was on your phone on your TV.
I know that you can use the DLNA function to stream to your DLNA TV/PS3/XBOX or buy the USB to HDMI to do this but I already bought the NOKIA cables that would allow me to use the 3.5mm jack to do the same thing (though not HD) like you can on the Captivate and Vibrant.
Thanks to anyone who can take the time to confirm/deny this rumor. I sure hope this is BS coming from an EPIC hater.
BTW: I ordered my phones (1 for me and 1 for my wife) through Sprint Telesales and now have to wait for them to ship otherwise I would check this myself

Nope doesn't worked , Samsung & Sprint did the CDMA cripple,
There is no TV out with the Epic. It's been confirmed all over the internet. We can only hope it will be put back in once the Epic gets TW 3.0 + Froyo.

SON OF A .....
This was a major feature that I was looking forward to using. It would have been great to use at hotels and my mom's where she is one step above rabbit ears
Would either of you know if the USB to HDMI cable would allow us to use the TV OUT function or is it DLNA only?
See also this thread. It started out focused on the TV out issue and related matters before it got hijacked.
Thanks Boomer. I'll check it out.

I think this is the only option we have. Although, can a stock i9000 ROM that has the TV out option be used on the Epic?
Hey guys,
I'm a golf instructor and would like to use my G2 and V1 app until I get the proper equipment. Is there a way to mirror out to an HDTV? MHL, Slimport ect? Thanks a lot for any answers.
If tv has miracast and network should be issue,
read mixed reports about hdmi out, maybe someone can check that
You can always use Google Chromecast...
Yes. The box says it supports miracast. I'm sure it's also mhl compatible. I'll know more when my phone gets here this afternoon

Hey guys,
I purchased Q700i recently and could not find a way to enable 3G network on both SIMs. I understand that I can use only one SIM at a single time for data, but I have 2 SIM and both are 3G enabled and I need to alternate between using them. Moto G supports 3G on both SIM by default.
Earlier, I had a very basic entry level android phone (Micromax A50) and even this INR 4K phone supported 3G on both the SIMs.
Any idea if this can be done? Or basically it is a hardware limitation with Q700i?
Thanks
First if all you are using xolo not mmx a50.
2nd its software limitation.
And bro before creating a thread search is must..

Thanks Rajit for your response.
Yes, I understand about the difference between the two phones; but my question was regarding the limitation. If software, we can probably patch it. If it's hardware, we are stuck. Also, comparison with MMX was to differentiate that even a 4K mobile had this functionality (had it been a hardware limitation).
I tried searching around, but could not find it. Can you please share the link if you have it.
Edit: Also, if you can tell me how to enable it without installing custom ROMs... it would be great.
Thanks,

Rajit: Are you sure the 3G not enabled on SIM2 is a software limitation? I went to Engineering Mode, and in the Band Mode it shows UMTS only in SIM1 and not SIM2. Not sure if this is any indication.
Please comment. I need to understand if I would be able to use 2 3G SIM cards on my phone or not (of course using a single 3G at any particular time)
Do you need to enable something for hd voice?
Does it need 3g or will it work with wifi?

First, it is not relevant 3G or Wifi - HD Voice is a cell support feature, it is not using you data connection.
Nexus 4 supports HD-VOICE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Smartphones_using_HD_Voice
Anyway, there is not a simple answer. Your provider needs to support HD Voice on Nexus 4 (in particular.)
Orange Israel, for example, support HD Voice on Nexus 4 with Android 4.2.2 at maximum. If you upgrade to 4.4x
it will stop working and there is no option to enable it.
BTW, just saw that in local forum we have an official reply from LG:
"Officially and Originally, Nexus4 does not support the AMR-WB even though it was worked well in previous version.
AMR-WB has not been supported by H/W but by S/W and it makes performance issue during PTCRB test that’s why we cannot pass the PTCRB test with enabling AMR-WB.
But, Nexus4 needs a PTCRB certificate for Global market and we decided to remove the AMR-WB feature from the S/W side."

I guess so, since it was released with 4.4.4 out of the box.
