I'm using and loving thunderkat 4.4, but my wifi speed is abominable. Is there a radio or patch that can be flashed to help this? I did factory wipe prior to installing even thoug coming from tk 4.3.
Thx

I have this problem also. Jumping onto the Note 3 and no problems so it's definitely 4.4. Have factory reset and cleared internal memory so it's happening to a clean slate.
Yup. On speedtest I'm now getting 20mb/s but yputube still stutters like a mofo. doesn't on my phone. Have tried clearing data for youtube. No different

Every 4.4 rom I've tried for Manta has this issue...
But 4.4 on my Nexus5 is fine on wifi
I sideloaded 4.4.1 yesterday and it seemed to help quite a bit. Now they've just released 4.4.2 so I'll try that later after work...

Hi
I´m also haveing problems with my nexus 10 reboots ect.
i thinking if any have any expirence with downgrading to the old version 4.1.2
AFAIK there is no 4.1.x on the N10. 4.2 is on the factory image site. That said I flashed 4.2 with minimal apps and it still rebooted and froze. It was better than 4.2.1 but wasn't a cure.

Since installing 4.2.2 on my Nexus 4 and 7, BBC iPlayer is no longer working. Has anyone else had this issue? Is it an issue with the new ROM or iPlayer?
Thanks
Likely an issue with BBC. They did the same when 4.2 came out and issued an update fairly soon after.
If you can grab it from a 4.2.1 backup it'll likely work

I restored the app from a backup and get an FC whenever I try to play a video.
Works fine for me. Stock 4.2.2 and Franco kernel r83.

I've flashed the new 4.3 rom and the new radio .83 and bootloader. Everything seems to work great other than mx player which I know is currently not yet compatible. The issue I am having is Google hangouts it keep force closing. The only success I've had is restoring app and data using titanium backup and even that is only temporary. I have wiped data I've also uninstalled hangouts and reinstalled it using the playstore but no success, any ideas?

4.3 is currently a leak. So don't expect every app to work. And we do not know that the current hangouts supports 4.3.
I'm sure we are probably atleast a month away from anything official.

Hi guys sorry if the thread already post before. My nexus has 4.4.2 rooted and already install twrp. I play game a lot on my nexus 7. But after upgrading to newest ota feel so lag when i try to play shadow gun dead zone. Is there any way how to fix it. I thought it was my wifi problem but when i switch to my old motorola phone it works like a charm.
Thanks in advance

Go into recovery and wipe dalvik and cache.
If that doesn't work, a backup of your apps to your pc hard drive and then a factory reset usually helps, but do the dalvik wipe first so you don't have to reinstall your apps and see if that works first.

Yes i finally wipe and somehow still lag. So bye2 to stock rom hehehhe. I flash purity rom and wow no lag anymore, everything seem smooth as butter
Thanks

But did the flash do a wipe of everything? If so, that's probably why. I'm on stock 4.4.2 and I don't have lag.

I wipe dalvik cache, and data. I m afraid to wipe system. I m not familiar with twrp. So only wipe does thing.
My nexus had a soft brick before when i update to ota and thats give me nightmare. So what would you suggest, do i have to wipe again dalvik, data system? Sorry for noob question but the lag just still there after on day flash from the rom.
Thanks

My trusted N7 (16GB) is having problems. I tried a bunch of 4.4.2 ROMs (Pure, Slim, Xeno, BSZ, Vanir) on my N7 and they were all very laggy and slow. I also went back to a 4.3.1 ROM using Smooth which also was slow. I always did a user/data wipe before installing a new ROM.
Now I am wondering if I have a hardware problem or if I should factory reset the device.
Any suggestions on what I can try next before buying a 2013 32GB N7?
thanks,
Scott
My completely stock nexus 7 is running extremely slow too. I'm thinking of doing a factory reset as well. Its starting to become unusable.

Were you using the stock Kernel from each of the roms you used?? Have you tried flashing a different kernel??
I thought a factory reset /full clean wipe was always necessary if switching from rom to rom.....

I did a factory reset and then installed Vanir ROM. This is more than just wiping the user space.
Working great now.
