Hi guys sorry if the thread already post before. My nexus has 4.4.2 rooted and already install twrp. I play game a lot on my nexus 7. But after upgrading to newest ota feel so lag when i try to play shadow gun dead zone. Is there any way how to fix it. I thought it was my wifi problem but when i switch to my old motorola phone it works like a charm.
Thanks in advance

Go into recovery and wipe dalvik and cache.
If that doesn't work, a backup of your apps to your pc hard drive and then a factory reset usually helps, but do the dalvik wipe first so you don't have to reinstall your apps and see if that works first.

But did the flash do a wipe of everything? If so, that's probably why. I'm on stock 4.4.2 and I don't have lag.

I wipe dalvik cache, and data. I m afraid to wipe system. I m not familiar with twrp. So only wipe does thing.
My nexus had a soft brick before when i update to ota and thats give me nightmare. So what would you suggest, do i have to wipe again dalvik, data system? Sorry for noob question but the lag just still there after on day flash from the rom.
Thanks

Hello everyone!
My dad's nexus 4 hasn't been downloading updated recently. Whenever he says update all, many errors come. Any ideas?
By the way, he's on official 4.3. Stock, Unrooted.

I've got an unlocked & rooted 1st gen 32gb WiFi nexus 7 running 4.3. Each time I boot into twrp and wipe data/cache/dalvik and flash a ROM it bootloops. I've tried 3 different ROMs to no avail. Any suggestions?

Do factory reset - system, cache, davlik, data and then install rom

I recently upgraded my ROM to the latest version. Wiped the cache and davlik, flashed the new rom and then flashed GAPPS. The rom boots and shows Android is Upgrading but after a few seconds, it reboots again and goes through Android is Upgrading again and restarts prematurely.
Also tried only flashing the rom without gapps but I am getting the same issue.
Did you wipe data or was it a dirty flash.

It was a dirty flash. Then since it failed, cleared data and system and flashed but still no dice. Flashed the latest Cm nightly and it worked. Been using it since. Might be a problem with the rom. One other person had a similar problem though there are some people who used the same zip but didn't face any troubles. Looks like Cm for now

Yea I know it sounds weird but not all phones are created equally. I had 2 galaxy s3's, one Rom would work on one and not the other. It's definitely strange.

Apparently, it's a recovery issue. I'm on CWM. People who have flashed it successfully are on TWRP. Will give it a shot over the weekend.

The problem was indeed CWM. Flashed fine with TWRP.

Alright, you've got root and clockwork. That's a start. Basically, if the ota won't load, you're gonna have to use clockwork to flash it your self. Flashing a ROM is when you delete the /system partition (it contains your systemui, jelly bean itself, etc.). Basically find a ROM, factory reset, flash it. You might not have to factory reset but as always...
Take a backup!
