Go to sprint Dev section and go to dialer codes. It's in the op.
I would heed caution when messing in there. A lot can go wrong.

I have a VZW version which disables the Dialer codes but the Sprint version should work and should have the Radio/Modem selections that I need from the Hidden Menus.

I'm not at home right now, so can't do it, but you could download Dynamite or Yeezey ROM and pull it from there.

Framework File - Security Unlock Pattern (Froyo)

Which framework file has the security unlock pattern in it? I want to try to modify it from circles to stars with a star dust type pattern on the movement. Or has somebody done something similar already? Looking in FROYO.
Framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi should be what you're looking for
Edit: not the same on the epic as on the hero, might not be there after all

I think its in the settings or twframework. Il look later today when I get a chance

Probably settings. The tw framework has nothing to do with the pattern unlock. It is a standard android feature.

Originally those buttons are in framework-res.apk but cause of tw allot of stuff got moved to twframework-res.apk that is usally in the regular framework. But yes I'm leaning more towards settings.apk

Change carrier text

It's there a way to replace it with whatever text I want? The word sprint is good and all, but I would like to put something else.plus I'm not even on sprint I flashed my phone to cricket

Yes there is but I don't know what it is. Some themes in the past have removed it completely.

Its in system/framework-res.apk/res/eri.xml
Btw, to get there, u have to open the apk as an archive. When you get there, open the file with a text editor (notepad++ is best) and press ctrl-f or apple-f if on a mac and search for every mention of the word, sprint, and change those to cricket or whatever you want.

Thanks I will try that now.and no I won't flash miui, I tried it and I don't really like it, I prefer cyanogen, which I'm using now
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Rom toolbox has an option for that, if I remember correctly.

It's funny, I change this on all of my roms and that's not how I do it. If that works, then I've been doing it the hard way, but the way I do it is to decompile /system/framework-res.apk and edit /res/values/strings.xml. Changing the word "Sprint" to whatever I want with Notepad++.

Developer mode easter egg

Anyone else accidentally done this?
kept tapping on the build number and it said you have successfully turned on developers mode.
what does that even mean?

Means you now have "Developer options".
Go look in your systems settings, under More.
Anything worth messing with? Or for risk of screwing up my phone should I just let it be

That's a product of 4.2.2.
Even on cm10.1 on my gs3 you have to tap 7 times on the build and then developer options appear to you

Not trying to be rude but if you have to ask it's probably best that you do not mess with any of them settings until you read up some more..

How is everyone forcing their phone into roam only and/or home only?
doesn't seem like anyone has figured out...

I flashed 56013 last night. Roam Control is working just fine, although I had to set my phone in the settings to a GS3
Running PAC 22.4.0, although I had to flash Force 2.2 to change the PRL, because I lost my stock nandroid accidentally formatting my sd
Never mind. Lied, it's not working it seems.
Doesn't work for me on cm10.1

Yeah it's not working... SUCKS! I've emailed the developer twice and got no response. He put an update out on 6/4 too. You'd think there would be more support for the phone thats pacing to be the most used phone in the world.

That's why I just use the VZW PRL. Can always take that route.

From my understanding you can set the PRL through TW and it'll stick through ROM flashes.

Roam Control dev here, sorry for the slow support. I bought an S4 as a dev device and was able to force roam with the stock rom. I put out the app update (2.9.0) late that night and then had to head out of town the next morning.
If the app isn't working for you, can you please post what ROM you are using, and what happens when you try to force roam (signal disappears, stays on sprint, etc)? Thanks!

It doesn't actually work. At least on my phone it doesn't.
There's thread about this in general.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2353439
On any rom it would roam but would be stuck roaming only. Each of us had to use the dialer code to re activate.
Ditto. Same problem for me

So recently I did a factory rest because sac came out with a version 5 of his rom and roam control started working. That was for about 2 weeks and now its doing the same thing where most ingo in nerwork status says unknown and I cant leave sprints network..please help.

[q] call block on the verizon g2

Anyone know how to do this on VZW? It can be done on the TMobile variants, but it's different on VZWs G2s for some reason
The first thing you should try is not posting questions in the general section.

To block your number on VZW you have to enable the service on your account. I believe it's under your plan or something. After you enable it your number will be blocked from caller id. If you want it to show, you will have to hit *82 then area code then number.

I guess I didn't explain this well enough. i would like to block certain incoming calls on my G2. I was able to do that on both my Galaxies and
my DNA, but I can't seem to find that option within the call settings.

My bad. I haven't found any setting either. Might have to use a 3rd party app for that. The only thing I can say is that if you have the number stored in your contacts, you can select ' go straight to voicemail'. I do know that some ROMs have that feature, like CM.

The aosp dialer has the option to blacklist specific numbers and wildcards but I've never seen a stock dialer that did.

You have the option to send strait to voice mail. That's pretty much like blocking a call
