i just sold my nexus 4 online and i need to ship it. i've unlocked the bootloader and rooted it and sold it like so. the buyer wanted it unlocked and rooted. i did a factory reset to clear my settings and files, however when i hooked up the nexus 4 via cable, i noticed that some folders from previous programs and data are still there. i deleted it manually but i'm not sure if there's anything else the factory reset did not get rid off. how do i remove all my previous settings and data for sure 100% while leaving the bootloader unlocked and the phone rooted? is factory reset enough? factory reset don't get rid off bootloader or root right? i noticed it did not but i just want to be sure
thanks

Go into recovery and wipe internal storage. It will delete what you're referring to.

you sure that will delete all the folders? because going into recovery mode and wipe internal storage is same thing is going into settings and doing factory reset

This has nothing to do with what he asked you could have simply stated "I don't believe that is any of your business, thank you" and be on your way.
Cleaned that post and all your quotes so please don't stray off anymore and play nice. You have a choice here, answer the question or ignore it but there's no need for justifying a rant.
Thanks

not defensive, just annoyed. when i post on android central, everyone is cool. when i post the EXACT same topics (copy and pasted) here on this forum, there is always several annoying fanboys who gets defensive when something bad is said about android or a particular device. it doesn't happen on android central but on here it happens every damn post. it's like this forum is filled with them. apple or android, i don't care, fanboys are annoying.
yes i was going to type "not your business" and leave it at that but i didn't because i know some other fanboys will post on this damn thread and make more annoying comments.
i like what i like, it's my personal preference. stop trying to impose your preferences on me. it's none of your business why i sold my nexus 4. his comment implied that he got offended that i don't like the nexus 4. i just asked about how to prepare s nexus 4 for selling without unrooting or -relocking bootloader. that should not warranted questions about why i sold.
Thread closed. This is now a pointless rant thread so useless.
I apologize if this has been asked but I couldnt find it.
I can seem to put apps like camera in lockscreen. Its grayed out, I tried a lot of options but alas...no go.

You have to go one up from that menu, and check the box that says "Multiple widgets". It lacks intuitiveness, I know.

Don't think there's any other way. Factory reset before the procedure and after to remove all traces of root.

Google Wallet tap-to-pay does not work for the Verizon Note 3, even with 4.4.2 installed. You must be on a different carrier, or have a modded version of Google Wallet to allow it. If you would provide a screenshot of Google Wallet tap-to-pay working for you phone and how exactly you were able to enable the feature, you would be a well thanked person on here. I hate to sound rude, but as of yet, the tap-to-pay feature does not work. I've tried every mod I could when I searched Google for tap-to-pay mods. I haven't been able to get anything to work yet.

I read through the article, and it says nothing about tap-to-pay working for our devices. Only that they are discontinuing the functionality for phones not running 4.4+. I have 4.4 running on my phone, and tap-to-pay does not work. Verizon still has it blocked. So if you have it working on your Verizon Note 3, please post a screenshot of your device with the functionality enabled, and also post how you were able to get it working.

It may not be just Verizon blocking it for Note 3, Samsung might also have a hand in it. I have Verizon HTC one M7 running 4.4 and tap to pay is setup and ready to use.
Maybe when official 4.4 for note 3 is released it might be enabled but who knows lol.

I started encryption on my VS980 a little while ago now, maybe 30-40 minutes... I'd read it can take an hour, but the progress percentage has not moved at all. Am I in trouble, or will it jump up at the end when its done?

No, you're not in trouble, when doing an encryption, it's encrypting everything on your device, so it can take awhile, especially depending on how much you have on your device.[emoji4]
