There was an option for the size of the photo you when you want to share via email. I set a default but I want to be able to send the original size file again. I tried resetting the gallery and camera defaults but that didnt let me choose the size again. Where do I re enable the option to select a photo size sending a photo?
Had this happen. You need to hold home button, select task manager, choose clear defaults tab, and clear the default settings for the specific app.

I tried with both gallery and email........ Still does the same thing.....
Ok, clearing the data wasnt fun, I had to redo all my email accounts. Clearly wasnt thinking when I did that.
But on the bright side, I found where to reset this to ask for the size of the photo when you send it from your gallery.
Mail app/settings/composing and sending/default image size
Uggg I hate making the simple things so difficult, but I seem to excel at that.
Oh well, hopefully this will help the next guy!

For some functions on the phone it lets you choose which app you want to use to perform that function.
If you set one app to default, then change your mind, how do you change the default? You don't get the default choosing window anymore after you choose the default...
Go into settings, applications, manage applications, click on the app that is set to default, clear data.
For example, if you do that for adw and you run launcherpro by default, once you do that and press home, you now will get the option to set the app of your choosing to default.
Not Clear Data, but Clear Defaults
Yeah you're right. Tried to remember without using my phone. Got most of it right though.

yup, clear default, and thnx for solving my problems too..
Hi, I must have delete some apk that stop me from adding using the default widget application. Can anyone upload it, thanks in advance.
think we'll need more info.. is this a specific widget or all widgets that you're having a problem with?
and a word of (fairly obvious) advice.. if you don't know what something does, leave it alone!

When you press setting, add to screen. There is a option of widget. When I press it nothing appear.

Everytime I open the browser it's dim. I open then menu and change it from "Level 3" to "default." However, the next time I open the browser, it's dim again. Somehow it resets itself to battery saver level 3. Does anyone else get this problem or know how to fix it?
Edit:
Nevermind, I fixed it. There's a Power Saving menu in the main phone settings that affects this. Turn off the Background Color option and you won't have this problem.
Feel free to delete my thread. Or leave it. w/e
When you say that you opened the menu, was that menu in the browser or in the actual phone settings? I'm asking because I can't seem to find the settings for just the browser itself. I'm probably just being stupid, but when I press the menu button while on a Web Page, I do not have the option to go into the browser settings.

You hit the phone's physical menu button while on a webpage and one of the options there is "Brightness and Colors." That's the menu that lets you select power saving levels 1 through 3 or deafult. I just wanted mine on default. It wouldn't stay on default until I turned the Background Color setting off in the Power Saving menu in the Phone's main settings.
Can you send me a screen shot? I did exactly what you did and I do not have that option in my browser. In fact, I'm not sure if this is just a problem with my phone or with all att S3's but I'm missing some settings options. For example, if I go into the display settings, I am unable to change the contrast like I have seen in reviews if the international version of the phone.
Do you have these problems too?

Scroll the menu that pops up in the browser, there are more settings...
Also look in your main settings under power saving. It messes with your browser brightness/color as well
Wow, I am a total idiot. And yeah, I see what you are saying.
Thanks.

In the camera app is there a way to get the little white icon settings to stay what you set them to??
I really want Exposure, ISO, etc there instead of the defaults.
Drives me nuts that I have to keep editing the shortcuts every time I re open the app.

Thanks. I know how to edit them, but the annoyance is that whatever you edit them to never stays when you close the app. :banghead: On my HTC they are remembered.
I'm hoping there is a root edit to fix this.

the Swipe to right during lockscreen, or the long press down key during lock screen
can it access other camera app instead of stock LG camera app?
I find the G2 camera app very slow, bad file naming (use number format instead of date) and lack of filters.
What if I uninstall the stock camera apk (rooted), will the OS ask me to choose another camera app instead? or simply crash the system

If you install another camera app, the next time you access the lockscreen or messaging cam you will be prompted to choose a default. No need to uninstall the stock camera.

I agree. But you can use which default camera should be selected all the time through the phones settings.

If you select "Always" when prompted then it will be the one always used.
If you want to change you go to the app list, open the properties of the currently defaulted camera app and "Clear defaults", that way the next time you swipe from the lockscreen you'll be asked to choose again.
Not very handy I agree but managing all defaults from the settings would be cumbersome anyway. Plus a lot of people don't really care about that so if you're down to that level of tweaking you probably can live with the available method.

That's true. Maybe we can look at some other ways to do this on rooted device. But for out of the box smartphones, this is only the option.
after multiple approach, seems like i only can use my desire camera app at lock screen IF the lockscreen is not code protected
After set up my pattern code, the lockscreen camera will always be the stock camera despite cleared default in app.
I guess it's a security reason, or the lock screen camera is actually a widget instead of a proper app, hence cannot be changed.
