Hi ;
I have Lenovo ideatab A1000-F , updated it with the latest official OTA firmware that extended device memory from 500MB to 1.5GB
---------------------
I'm asking about the temporary root for this device, which program I should use, and whether there is any risk from Temporary root.
Thanks a lot ...

well,i don't know any temporary root program and to be honest,i never heard of that, but is a program to get to root it very easy,i actually did it to this tablet and for my phone too, which is not lenovo, the program is called Kingo Android root,u can unroot it too with the same program,u don't risk anything by rooting it,if you know what you are doing or if you understand what is rot for,if not, better not doing it at all

Dear gurus,
I'm new to Galaxy family, I have a small question. Provided that I have root access for S5 and using Stock ROM. Am I still able to OTA/Kies update?
The reason I want to root is to get rid of SamSung bloatwares and use custom kernel.
Thanks
No. You have to download firmware/rom updates then flash them to your phone now.
Using the phone for updates after rooting will cause you to lose all root access and then would just cause more problems. As stated before, you'll have to manually apply them once rooted.
Tks you all, I got it!
Hi everyone
Lately I got an update KitKat to my lenovo
And I tried to root it with framaroot
But I cudnt do it
Why
Sent from my Lenovo S820 using XDA Free mobile app
Try TowelRoot. Look it up on google. Its sorta like framaroot but for kitkat.

-LG Optimus L3 II
-Lenovo IdeaTab A3000-F
-Hyundai Dual SP 4S

Lenovo A706 ROW
Hi,
would appreciate some info / details / instructions on how to root, then install CWM on my lenovo A706 row model.
at the moment the phone recovery boots up to an "Android system recovery <3e>". is this a preinstalled recovery for all Lenovo model?
i have tried several ways but to no avail. only program that could root my phone was the vroot program but OP found some suspicious malware, so i had the vroot program uninstalled.
thanking in advance

There is one way that you can try.
First install custom recovery, then flash KitKat root.zip from recovery.

Hi guys,
I have the G900F model and I'd like to root for two main reasons: de-bloat and recover SMS/MMS form my old phone (maybe this can be done without root but I don't know such app). It has stock ROM - ANE2 (CSC is AND1), knox is 0x0 and the device status is Official. OTA is pending but I haven't installed it yet. I found the towelroot thread and I'm clear how to root it without tripping knox. Several users also reported that device status remains Official using this root method. So far so good. What I couldn't find was whether after rooting I'll be able to update via OTA, or do I have to go the Odin way. In addition, will the root remain after OTA (if answer to previous question is Yes)? According to SamMobile the October update is ANH6 (CSC ANH2). It says it's still 4.4.2 so I wonder if there is a point in updating anyway. My goal is to have the latest official firmware with root. TIA

That's the thing though - if I update now I'm not sure if I'll be able to root again without any consequences. I'm not rooted at the moment so I can accept the OTA anytime. As I said in OP - I'm not even sure if the update is worth it. I read in some threads that the main purpose of the update was to patch the exploit used by towelroot on older firmwares.

You can root your phone again with framaroot etc. As same function..
The beginning of the framaroot OP states:
"!! Important !!
Success with this application void warranty on your device."
I also don't see the Galaxy S5 in the supported devices list.

If not using framaroot.. You can use another root installer..
Hi everyone,
I was fed up with marshmallow and had wanted to downgrade to Lollipop 5.0 searched the internet but found no supporting evidence of anyone successfully downgrading. Even people updated stating the official status is that you CANNOT downgrade.
I today took the risk and tried to downgrade to Lollipop S136 version using SP flash method (download only).
I confirm that the downgrade was successful and now my phone is on Lollipop S136 version. Just thought of sharing to all who desperately wanted to downgrade. Hit thanks if you find it helpful
SP Flash tool procedure : http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-a7000/development/flashing-stock-rom-via-sp-flash-t3364235
Rooting can be done with Kingroot latest apk
I have A7000 on Lollipop. Is it not worth upgrading to Marshmallow?

Not recommended... not good pair of 8 GB internal storage and Marshmallow
1 week and 8 MB the internal storage. I Delete all downloaded app so have just Stock app my phone and remain low internal storage.
Lollipop the best!

Hi! I succesfully downgraded my phone to android 5.0 lollipop. Everything works fine except my sd card -it says my sd is corrupted but that's not true because on android 6.0 marshmallow that sd worked. I also tried different sd card but nothing changed. I even tried to format sd card but it still doesn't work. Is there some way how to fix it ?

What method did you use to root your phone?
You can use an app like rootbeer sample from playstore or APK mirror site to check root status
In regards to Shealth and Samsung pay not working is more likely due to the fact that you have tripped your Knox

Knox is hardware + software security locking system installed on your phone.
Once you install/flash unofficial firmware-recovery on your phone, the E-FUSE of Knox will be tripped physically.
There is no software bypass to FULLY UNROOT Latest Samsung flagship. The only way is to replace physical board with new Knox module in it. Only samsung service center are eligible to do.
