I just got a refurb S4 as a warranty replacement and am trying to set it up like it was before. I'm keeping it on 4.2.2 MF9 as I have no interest in 4.3. I had installed the NottachXposed mod V12 (for AT&T) on my previous phone and really liked it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285074&highlight=mf9&page=183).
Before I install it on this phone, I was wondering if there was a newer mod that had similar features? Mainly looking to disable the annoying volume warning and being able to customize the UI without installing a whole new ROM.

There's gravity box, wanam xposed, and 3minit.

Hi,
I recently rooted my VS980, and installed a cleaned rom (no VZW apps) of the stock VS98012BOTA update. I would really like to replace the default onscreen menu button with the standard recent apps button. I found two mods in the G2 (Verizon) thread that did exactly this, but unfortunately both of them boot-looped my phone. My guess is that it's because I'm running the most recent VS98012B version of the stock rom, which was released after both the mods I found.
Does anyone know if there is a mod that would work with this stock rom version? Thanks.
As you say, you got root! Just install xposed and there's for sure a module that can let you customize the navbar just as you wish

So, I rooted my Sprint GS5(4.4.2) but unrooted it. Im about to re-root it but thats not the question(s).
I just wanna know if GravityBox (KK) is good to use on my Galaxy. I heard its not a great idea to use it because it may clog up the device. If GravityBox isnt a good idea what other mods would be a good similar one? I know Wanam and Xblast are but I want to know if there are others that are good.
Also, what are the best mods in general to get once I re-root my phone. Thanks.
So I'm currently running Rooted Stock Rom 4.4.4 on my Nexus 4, with Xposed Framework. I'm thinking about updating my phone but I'm wondering is it worth giving up Xposed framework?
I'm using XGELSettings and Gravity Box for major customization and a couple of Snapchat mods too.

if your willing to learn to use your device in another way and you want a fresh look and better battery yes. the thing is that xposed is not going to come to android l for a long time maybe never. the developer has some serious problem with art (from testing on kit kat ) and said that is waiting for lollipop or cm12 for his phone to start the work, so you get the point. i would suggest make a backup of your device, upgrade to lollipop for a week or so to see if you like it. if not you have the backup.
P.S. use a custom kernel without it the battery life really sucks!

Huge improvements in battery life and stability, I miss PA floating notifications and navigation bar quick shortcuts... try it
Well.......the battery life is better than KK if you use a custom kernel (4-5h SOT).......but KK looks sooooooooo much better.
Holo > Material
Personally I went from PA to a stock rooted version of 5.0 and don't regret it in the slightest. I think that L has a much nicer UI, is much smoother, has nicer animations, has better battery life and is just generally an improvement over 4.4. Then again, I stopped needing all of the features of PA a long time ago so if you're more of a power user than me then it might be worth not updating for now
Hey all, so a question for you guys.
I'm currently running my s5 rooted using towelroot on KK, KNOX still 0x0, with things like xposed installed (mainly just for blocking YouTube ads, firewall, and changing app Dpi settings) as well as viper4android FX and HiFi (I'm an audiophile)... I know the LP OTA is up, and wondering if it's worth it?
I know xposed isn't functional on Samsung devices yet (or has that changed and I've missed it?), and rooting with towelroot is not an option so I'd have to trigger KNOX and lose my warranty, plus viper4android only has the FX app working on LP not HiFi which has the audio reconstruction feature I so absolutely ADORE and is the main reason I even use Viper.
This all being said, I really like some of the UI changes lollipop brings and whatnot...
Why do you think? Worth it knowing I can't even root?
What's your opinions and why?
You should be able to update to LP with root without tripping KNOX if you use Mobile ODIN Pro & Choose to inject / pre-root, I haven't used it before but there are a few tutorials kicking around on how to do it
Id say 80% of people have issues with LP atm though, personally Im not having problems and like LP, but I had to factory reset after the update to fix a few issues
Small tutorial here

Viper4Android (ViperLolli) does not work on stock Samsung Lollipop kernel!
I am using Viper4Android too and I cannot imagine sound without this mod!
I am still on KitKat 4.4.2. I have knox 0x1 and don't care about warranty, also tried ALL of lollipop variants (CM based, Stock-Based) and couldn't find good for me.
I did my mods by myself (root, debloat, busybox, viper4audio, zipalign, remove ads) and I am happy of using it!.
Lollipop brings nothing to S5 except further problems and finding workarounds. Oh, almost forget! It brings - white eye-blinder background. Good look at night!
Stay still and wait for something big better than lollipop from Samsung.
Pure lollipop is muuuuuuuuuuch better than sammy's version.
This is the very first time in Nexus history that more people are running stock roms rather than custom roms. So let's settle it, shall we ?
custom because im lazy
stock
PureNexus user checking in. I've always enjoyed flashing ROMs and there seems to be a lot of thought put into this one - not to mention overwhelming community support and usage. Android, to me, has always been about third party development and I love to have that perspective represented on my device.
Just got it today so stock...... For now?
Still on stock. Not even rooted yet.
Stock here.
I'm not even rooted either.

Entirely stock, but downgraded back to 6.0 since i was suffering from weird LTE issues. Otherwise stock and unrooted.
Stock and with no root. Its the first phone wich i havent rooted
Stock is way smoother than any other custom ROM, I miss the features like unlink ringtone and notification from custom roms, but the smoothness of stock is unparalleled.
Stock..unrooted

Rooted all the way baby. Stock is nice but I can't live without xposed framework and custome governor profiles
If you guys ever root try this set up and never look back.
Custom Room (xTraFactory is what I am running)
ElementalX Custom Kernel (with DarkSpice profile)
Xposed Framework ( look at pictures bellow)
Cataclysm Mod
AdAway
Naptime App ( on aggressive mode)
Crazy Battery and insanely smooth. Use my phone without worrying about anything
Stock rooted with a custom kernel (franco at the moment) and xposed is perfect.
I used to check out different ROMs on all my previous devices but 6P with all that stated above is perfect.
For those that say stock is smoother than a custom rom ...must be a placebo lol

Could always stay stock, root and take advantage of Xposed?
That's I am using now, stock plus Xposed, but that slows down the phone a bit, and I get a force closed every now and then.
Stock, rooted, running xposed

Stock, no root - for the 1st time ever
Ubermallow or bust... There's literally no comparison.
Darkspice?
