How to change CSC? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an unlocked carrier Note 3, the csc is EVR(EE). I would like to change this to BTU(Factory unlocked).
I have odin 3.09 and the most up to date BTU Note 3 version from Sammobile, if I flash this will it change my CSC to match or do I have to do something else?
Thanks in advance.

It's sorted now.
I had to wipe, flash latest unbranded firmware and when it rebooted switch the phone off. Once off put the phone in to recovery. Instead of going into download mode selected restart and Csc changed.

×#1234#
Write down the csc on piece of paper
Www.sammobile.com/firmwares
Type in the csc minus the last 4 letters
Download the file ending with mj4
Either flash the full file or untar it and buile a tar.md5 with only cache.img.ext4

Nope you cannot downgrad from mj4, as it contains a new bootlaoder which prevents it.

This will NOT work.
You can try if you want (wonr trip knox or anything) but ull get bootlooped, better do a good backup.
Once u realized i was right, just reflash mj4 and evrthing will be fine again.

Hi I am having difficulties, can give me exact step by steps including command in CW.
why dont you flash the stock rom back using normal odin?
or even better, unroot with supersu and flash only the baseband back
Hi do you flash baseband and kernel in AP?

what step exactly?
how far do u get?
Ok so I put mj7.tar in cygwin home then type what exactly in cygwin command....
The problem you're having is because the modem can't be downgraded once you've gone over a certain version (MJ3 I think it was) that is reason, the solution is to do what has been suggested but you're going to have to stick with the version that the modem came with.
I know this from the testing I did that discovered the other required files when @BlueChris originally reported problem with no Wi-Fi on the newer firmwares a while ago.

Put the phone into download mode and with Odin (PC) flash the NON-HLOS file.
You'll be working again as soon as it fires up.
P.S. that file is in the official Samsung firmware file, just extract it.

[Q] Questions about rooting methods

I just picked up a Note 3 and I'm looking to root my phone without tripping Knox. It seems the root de la vega method is the way to go. My phone is activated and came with MI5, but its downloaded an update which I'm holding off on installing until I know what I'm doing.
Should I go ahead and apply the latest update, and then root, or should I root now and update later?
What exactly are the AP and CSC files and where can I get them? Most of the tutorials I am reading that have links to these files are using HOTFILE which isn't in operation at the moment, so I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for.
Dont update
