Nexus 7 cant turn on. THE MOST IMPOSSIBLE PROBLEM EVER - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good evening!
My nexus 7 doesn't response. I installed the Ubuntu 13.04 desktop preinstalled version for nex7 and used for an hour (i dont know exactly)
In the ubuntu i get the gparted witha apt-get and created a new partition with 29gb storage because the system only saw 6gb. After this i clicked the reboot in the os and After shutdown the device cant turn on. No flashlight, no bootloader... NOTHING
I tried the all key combination but nothing. I took off the back of nexus7 and reconnected the touch screen and the battery but nothing.
The device is not responding to power button, not responding to charging (also nothing flashlight or something else)
What i should to do? Please help, this is the most difficult problem in this device history..

There r only 3 solutions
1) Charge your nexus 7 for at least an hour
2) take out the battery and push it back in
3) hard reset your nexus 7 or keep holding the power button for 60 seconds

Transformer won't boot.

I've seen these topics before but mine is a slightly different case. Here are the particulars:
It shut itself down when using the Gmail app.
It was at ~84% battery
Tried holding the power button for 10 or 20 or 30 seconds to reboot with no result.
I tried plugging it in to PC to see if storage still mounts but it does not.
I was able to get it into APX mode by holding power and vol down (or up, I can't remember) as it showed on the windows PC that it tried to install APX drivers but failed.
After holding power again it came out of APX mode but nothing displays on the screen.
I don't think its just a busted display panel because if it did reboot I'd see the storage mount.
It had a custom ROM on it and it is SBK2.
What do you folks think? Bricked?

Thanks for the tips guys. I left it off the charger overnight and the battery died so when I went to power it on today I got the dead battery on the screen. Plugged it in and it booted fine! Phew.

For anyone who may encounter this in the future I'll post this here so searching may help them.
The Transformer shut itself off twice on me with the same issue. I had full (or close to) battery and it shut off and would not turn on.
I believe it was still "on" in some way as after leaving it overnight and trying to power it on in the morning The depleted battery icon popped up on the screen. I plugged it in and it booted.
The second time it died on me I was using skype (first time using gmail) and I had to again wait for it to run out of battery before anything would display on the screen.
I have since restored back to stock (no root or CWM ) and am waiting to see if it happens again. If it does I'll update the post.

Help! Possible Brick Reverting to stock!

I've done this soo many times and have all the files for multiple devices in folders on my hard drive. Went to revert back to stock but kept getting a boot loop, So I re odin'ed with the wrong pit file on accident. I used the P1 PIT file on a P1C from Sprint. Now it wont turn on. When I plug it to the main charger something turns on but its like a screwed up screen. if I hold down the volume down button, and plug it up, it will go into download mode but wont connect to the computer. What do I DOOOOOOOOO!!!
At least you still have download mode.
Just keep trying.
Get Odin running and cable connected and tab powered down.
Then try to volume down + power
Sometimes suddenly the Odin will see the device. If that happens, flash away.

I've tried, Power button and volume down does nothing. Only way I can get it into download mode is to hold down volume and plug it up to the charger. Doesn't work with a computer. I'm looking to have this guy JTag it. So hopefully I'll have it back.
bootloop
hi i had this problem you need to leave it on charge for 4 hours remove all samsung softwear and drivers hold power button till it switches of power on with volume down its ok still black screen then plug into laptop wait 15 mins till download shows up then use overcomes back to stock or any other rom good luck

[Q] Nexus won't boot

My Nexus 7 will not boot at all. I have tried:
Holding the power button for 30+ seconds
Holding the power and volume buttons (also for 30+ seconds)
Charging it for 2+ hours and repeating
When I connect it to a PC the computer will recognize a device, but it's inaccessible.
UPDATE: Windows (XP) device manager does NOT recognize it.
The Nexus crashed while I was installing an app in the Play store (other apps were updating in the background). After this I haven't been able to turn it back on.
Any ideas on what to do or what has happened?

Bricked my n4 after flashing ubuntu touch!!

hey guys....
i hate myself....
anybody know how to know how to recover my n4???? heres what happend....
i recoverd my stuff like always
put the two downloads from this page on my SD (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2324683)
did a pull wipe and dalvik
formatted system
then i wanted to flash the files
and without purpose flashed the second one first!
NOW
my phone wont boot... no recovery.... no bootloader and not fastboot!!
its suck at the google logo!!!
but whats wierd ist that at that google logo the PC sees it and also does toolkits!!! but no ADB
please if anyone has any idea how to get this running again please help me out!
Hold Power until it turns off then release the power button and press "volume - " and power at the same time and keep holding both.
What happens then?
Try to download this toolkit:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2015469
And choose flash stock.
I don't know if it works but you can try.
Also, alot of people get stuck and can still can get into bootloader try every possible way to get there because if you can access bootloader you can fix it with ease.
Did adb work before? If not it might be your drivers so fix that if it worked before you don't can access your phone with adb while on the google screen.
Good luck!

Your battery died.
You need to put it in the charger for some time, the red light will go away eventually. Or try ro charge it with your computer or car.
BUT before doing that I THINK you must let it completly drain, so just let it the way it is and try the above tommorrow.
I'm not sure though so another member here needs to confirm this!

battery died indeed (probably fully discharged)
Try this:
1. just leave it charging for +- 30 min and check if it 'running' again (battery icon on screen).
and/or
2. hold the power button and then plug it in to a power source. Be patient because it may take up to 30 seconds for it to boot.
If it's working again and battery is full but system is not booting, try booting with volume- + power buttons and flash everything again (e.g. android 4.3) with fastboot.
thanks but No Chance!! the batter is full!!! if i tun it on with vol + or vol - or vol + and - ! all i get is a blinking red LED

I got a red light, not flashing ubuntu, it was running antutu with less than 30% bat, and OC. its all about battery.
What i did....
Plug my N4 to the wall charger all night long. After that i plug off and there was the same red led. I went to my job, on my way, i plugged into the car charger and....woalaaa , suddenly the red light turn off, pressed the power button and it start normally.
Do the same, but when you try to power on, do it pressing VOL- and power button to start on bootloader cuz you dont have an android system mount on it. Then Flash factory image vía fastboot.
I got that red light thing twice already OCin. And that work for my in both cases
Good luck

Red blinking LED is a battery voltage problem, best way people have found to solve is to use a 3rd party charger for a day or so then try again even if you think it's full.

Nexus 7 Dead (as in, totally dead!)

Hey guys, I signed up here because I'm desperate for help!
To cut a long story short, I upgraded my N7 (wifi 2012 model) from 4.4.4 to 5.1.1 which was an awful idea as performance was through the floor. So I used the ADB tools to flash and downgrade back to a stock 4.4.4 image from the google repository.
Unfortunately, after flashing I tries to get to the recovery mode (was on the boot loader) and it said "error", wouldn't let me go any further and just kept me in the boot loader menu. I rebooted the device thinking it might have just needed a gentle shove, but it didn't reboot...it turned off after using the power off command.
Now when I "try" to turn the device on I get a black screen and nothing else. To confirm, this isn't the usual battery related "black screen" with grey static and the enabled backlight caused by long term discharge. The screen is totally black, no matter what key combination I use there is no visual response. The only time I can generally see any sign of life is when It's plugged into my laptop - windows plays the "new device detected" chime, but ADB can't see it and about 90% of the time windows states there was a device error. At this present moment the device is powered on (again, no visual sign) just a chime and an active driver showing in devmgmr for "Android ADB Interface".
ADB - Any attempt to use ADB fails and shows "no device found / connected", I've tried multiple solutions such as the nexus root kit but they all have the same issue, they just can't talk to the device. I know it's not the laptop at fault because it was detected fine multiple times prior to flashing it?
There is something alive in the device in terms of powering it off and off as holding the power+vol down button does do enough to trigger the windows chime to indicate it's powered on, but windows can't do anything with it at all. Note the device was 95% charged during the flash so it's not like it crashed mid way.
Any help would be appreciated, it'd be a shame to bin it
Thanks
Lawrence
Take the back off and disconnect the battery. Press the power button to discharge any leftover charge. Plug back in the battery, then try powering up in bootloader mode.

Hi Psiphi,
I did as you suggested, took the case off and disconnected the battery cable - pressed and held the power button in different combinations to make sure it discharges any remaining power.
Sadly, no change - any attempt to power it on results in the same lack of response
Anything else to try?
Thanks
You might try forcing a flash using the Nexus Root Toolkit, but otherwise I am out of ideas short of buying new hardware.

I agree use nexus toolkit, use the force flash mode... I recovered mine about 6 months ago it was dead... Nothing worked...
