What system version can be rooted & flashed? - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently bought a Razr M with the goal of having it flashed to work on Page Plus. It has the latest Android build 98.18.94 which I understand cannot be rooted. Do I need 98.15.66 or something even earlier?

No, when rooted never install OTAs as it can lead to incompatibilities that could get you stuck in bootloop etc.
install a custom recovery(i prefer TWRP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2469995) then choose a ROM, ensuring that it is D802 compatible (should say in the thread). The ROM will usually be updated to the latest available android version, if you dont want any tweaks go for a pure stock ROM:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2521152.
Ensure that when changing android versions that you are backed up (Titanium Backup:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup&hl=en) and make sure you follow the instructions on the ROM thread accurately.

Unflash Razr M?

Page plus has gone to LTE so I need to unflash my M. How do I do that?
I am on:
System version: 98.15.66.XT907.Verizon.en.US
Android version 4.1.2
I haven't upgraded to kitkat so I just need to undo the flash.

I had to do the same thing. I had razrM on 3g on Page Plus. I used RSD lite to flash the stock rom and this basically over rides any flashing done to get 3g. I also upgraded to Kit Kat, then installed the new 4g lte sim from Page plus, called them to activate (800-550-2436), and I was in business.
If you have problems flashing to Kit kat (as I did) go to http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/48904-rsd-flasher-beta-windows-only/ and their method works to flash kitkat.

[Q] Help with JJBL to KKBL

Hey guys, I've recently inherited a relatively unused xt907 vzw that I plan to use when travelling. It was still running ICS when I got hold of it. I'm currently unlocked and rooted and running the latest nightly build for jbbl. As it seems like support is ending for jjbl roms, I'd like to update the bootloader (but remain unlocked and rooted) so I can put lollipop on this phone. Having only used Samsung phones before, I'm a bit of a moto noob, so any help or advice would be appreciated.
I suspect I need to use RSD lite to flash the .10 baseband firmware, right? I'm aware of the issues with .15.
If it matters, my current baseband version is SM_BP_101032.021.32.80P
Thanks in advance.
Since your bootloader is unlocked - you can flash whichever firmware you want with RSDLite. If you want the KKBL, you will need to flash either the .10 or .15 Razr M KitKat firmware or even the .10 luge KitKat firmware - your choice.

Thanks a lot, ATTACK. Is there one in particular you'd reccommend (or reccommend avoiding)?

Flash the .10 Razr M firmware (KDA20.62-10.1).
Head here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-m/general/guide-faq-how-to-root-boot-unlock-t2869432
Thanks again, ATTACK, this worked great I've got CM12 up and running. I had to install a CM11 4.4 build before CM12 because of bootlooping (tried multiple recoveries and CM 12 nightlies).
So in case anyone else comes across this: KDA20.62-10.1->CM 11->CM 12. Works like a charm.
