SM-N900 warranty bit meaning - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi !
I've been looking around and I didn't find the answer about the version of my phone SM-N900 (thailand). Warranty bit : 1 means that the warranty is fine, right? In opposition to the know flag on the SM-N9005.
Thanks to confirm

I believe it's vice versa. I've flashed custom recoveries and mine warranty bit is 1.

On my side, I have a bit : 1. No root yet but I live in Thailand, the specialists to deceive you with a soft smile.... I understand now why I bought it cheaper and why I saw the guy putting back all the plastic protections of another phone I had already brought back in order it looks new.....
Samsung shop at Central Plaza in Khon Kaen.
In MBK central, at Bangkok, the sellers propose a 4g version but, watch out, they are not under warranty at all. They are imported from Singapore, Malaysia or Europe.
I warned you.

Knox counter hit 0x1 then you need to send in for repairs you will get bill..
You'll still be allowed to send it in for repairs, you just need to pay for them.
I sent mine to samsung service centre. No charges when they fix my phone. From singapore

Very lucky indeed. It's because of situations like yours that the Knox flag exists in the first place. You borked a flash and lacked the skill to fix it, no way Samsung should be obliged to fix it for free.

If you're in EU region your warranty still be valid for hardware problems, if not caused by software(overclock..eg).
Does anyone know if 0x1 is still covered by warranty in Australia. I've read that some parts of the world still have cover.

Here - You should also read up a lot more before playing with your device or you'll end up with a beautiful paperweight.

[Q] I'm so wondering if my phone can be rooted?

I am very new to this forum, the android-based phone and rooting
I have read lots of articles about rooting Note 3 with and without Know tripping and am still puzzled...
I will be really appreciated if someone gives me some info about my question.
1. The version of my phone is
AP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CSC: N9005XSADMJ2
2. Is there any possible way to root without tripping Knox so far?
3. If not, is there any way to downgrade the version so that I can try to root without tripping Know?
Plus, I purchased this phone at a phone shop outright so it is not under contract to any telecom.
Thanks for reading it

Wait... What does that mean being an EU citizen you don't need to worry about knox?
It means you are better than any other person outside EU.

Eu law stated that rooted phones shouldn't invalidate warranty unless the rooting caused the issue.
It's mentioned a few times in these forums. So I presume that is what is being referred to here?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using xda app-developers app
Canada also doesn't care about rooting and its not even a law. Although, to correct you, EU law doesn't say you can root and have no consequences unless root causes the issue, it say rooting can be legally done but the OEM has the right to deny warranty whether you are rooted or not.

No way to do that directly. HOWEVER for N900 it seems to be possible to reset knox flag and downgrade - look after the relevant threads around!

As long as the fault will not stop you from doing it - for instance if the USB connector is no longer working you will not be able to get that back

[Q] Note 3 ROOTING and KNOX

Hi Guys,
I have a new Note 3 (SM-9005) and wanted a definitive answer about triggering KNOX 0x1.
Is it possible for me to root without triggering KNOX?
I am not bothered about Custom ROMS at the moment or Recoveries. Just want ROOT.
My FW\SW details are;
AP: N9005XXUFNF4
CP: N9005XXUFNF2
CSC: N9005OXAFNF4
Any help greatly appreciated.

Ok will have a look at that. Thanks. I believe it is geohotz version. I want to make sure it doesn't trip Knox before I try and will update this thread if I am successful as it may help others.
