I miss the brightness slider my S4 had in the notification pull-down. Is there a way to add that? I'd rather not install a custom just for that feature.
Thanks.

Your brightness doesnt adjust when u slide your finger across the notification bar? The black part? Left & Right? Do u have auto brightness on? Thats the only way i know how to disable it.

Ya well i noticed it i just turned on auto brightness i shall see if that holds up. If not i still need a solution to have auto brightness off. For now this will work.
I never knew that! I like that feature, now I don't need power control widget cluttering up my screen anymore

Is it possible to remove the brightness sliding feature at the top of the screen? I don't use automatic brightness so the brightness always changes when I slide down. It's very annoying to me. Thanks!

Doesnt seem to happen with custom kernels
I also find this very annoying. I would think there is a service or file we could remove to stop this.
So mixup kernal stops this "feature "?

Oh yes it does.
I noticed this last week. I don't like it. I change my brightness on accident all the time.
Loving the rom and the themeing i can create with it, here comes the question, under the brightness bar on the notification panel, the checkmark for the auto brightness does not seem themeable, i have everything else blue, while it stays green. Am i missing something completely obvious or has the author just not gotten to that part yet?
once again, amazing rom!

I don't think it is currently. You can request Nottach to add it if it's possible to his module/ROM.

well my friends at work trolled my account, all back, but now i can post there
The samsung stock notification panel is huge, ugly, obtuse, and doesn't even have many of the toggle options I prefer. For instance flashlight isn't even an option. There are better 3rd party notificaction panels.
Can someone please advise me on how to remove this thing (without rooting)?
Is there an app that can do it?
This is my first post. Looking forward to positive interaction. Hopefully a successful solution too! Lol
Not possible.

Any good news? I'm also interested in removing the notification panel.
No way to remove or change it without root, however, I believe you can add a second one using one of these apps.
Settings Extended, Power Toggles, and Notification Toggle from the play store. Worth a try if it floats your boat.

My phone is rooted. How can I take advantage of that in this matter?

I've installed "notification toggle" a few days ago and it pleases me a lot. That's the reason I want to dump the stock notification feature.

You know, I think I misunderstood and thought you just wanted to remove some of the toggles or change / add some. I've never seen it completely removed. Doesn't mean it's not possible, but I've never seen it.
You should be able to request a mod and ask somebody to add in whatever toggles it is you want (flashlight, etc.) that aren't normally there. I'm sure one of the modders around would be happy to help you out and do a flashable zip to alter it to your liking. You could also just use an Xposed module to do it.
Check out this page: http://www.xda-developers.com/touchwizs-current-and-upcoming-theming-settings/ Maybe that will lead you in the right direction.
Heh-heh, big thanks @bbeelzebub! I've installed Xposed Framework v2.6.1 (it's working flawlessly) and now I'm looking for the right module. I've tried GravityBox (v3.5.9) but unfortunately it doesn't have the option to customize the notification panel. I'll keep searchin'...
Without rooting, it's not possible. With root, it would be (relatively) simple.

Possibly. What exactly is it you're wanting to do? Remove the quicksettings panel?
I want to remove the stock notification panel (android v4.1.2) or, if it's possible, to customize it (add/remove toggles).
(an internet screenshot of the stock notification panel)

Does anyone know how to remove the Clock on the Lockscreen? I Don't mean the AOD. I searched and a few people wondered but got no answer. I am rooted and can perform actions that require it. Help Somebody
anyone?
Try here there's one that just removes the clock and leaves the date and other text aswell I believe. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ion-ui-overlay-overlays-t3604341/post73076098
I'm not rooted but that lockscreen clock is terrible.
I just want to change it to the same horizontal one I use on the aod screen but seems you can't.

There is a terrible hack to get rid of the horizontal clock:
Enable display of notifications and always have at least 1 notification showing at a time. If there is a notification, it will draw horizontal because there isn't room for vertical.
See?
