I'm looking to use a Verizon Wireless Motorola Razr M using my Sprint microSIM card.
I currently use an iPhone 4S, has a Sprint microSIM card. I'm aware Sprint is CDMA and VZW is CDMA.
And the RAZR M is capable of using a microSIM card.
If practical, What is the preparations do I have to do to accommodate the phone to work with Sprint?
And what services will be lagged/slowed down?

Hi
I was just given a Droid 2 R2D2 and I wanted to know if I can have this phone running on the sprint network can this be possible? If so please let me know where to go to get this done. I would definitely not like to lose the themes etc that came with the phone. Thanks in advance.
no it cannot. it is a CDMA phone. it doesnt even have SIM card slot. If it could i wouldnt be on verizon lol.
technically, sprint doesnt use sim cards either. but it is still two different radios being used. Sprint and verizon are both CDMA...

r2d2 is cdma only but if you traded it for a droid 2 global then you could. As far as VZW not having any phones with gsm... that isn't true. Any world capable phone has gsm capability. Though the D2G will need to have the baseband unlocked with a hack.
The international devices are cdma and gsm both. However verizon and sprint do not use the gsm.... But the other 80% of the world does, thats why its global. If your in the US and want to use a sun then you gotta go to at&t, tmobile, and they're affiliates.

My friend just gave me her droid x. I love everything about the phone. Is there any way that. I can use it with AT&T? Tryin to keep from switching services.
It's impossible to use a Verizon Droid X on AT&T due to the phone being CDMA. If you has the GSM variant the Milestone X, you could use it.
Even without being activated, the Droid X is a great phone to play around with.

I have a friend that switched from verizon to at&t. He asked me if it was possible to unlock his verizon droid 2 so that he could use it with his new carrier. I told him I would look into it, does anyone have any suggestions?

Regular Droid 2 cannot be used on at&t or t-mobile as it is CDMA only. Droid 2 Global maybe able to used AT&T/Tmo 2G (EDGE)
You can't. They both use different types of networks to communicate.
I would love to get a Moto X that has 64 GB and an unlocked boot loader.
Is it possible to purchase the Sprint Edition of the Moto X and convert to a Verizon Moto X to work with LTE?
Before this becomes a "My Carrier is Better Than Yours," due to my location, Verizon is the only carrier I can use.
Thanks!

No. The Sprint variant does not support any bands that VZW uses for LTE. You will get (at best) only 3G, and it will be quite a process even getting it to work on Verizon (if you even can). Currently, AFAIK, people have only been successful flashing the Sprint variant to MVNOs such as PagePlus. Sprint is currently the only carrier that uses LTE on the 1900mhz band (and this is the only LTE band it supports). This makes it only useful for LTE on Sprint.
Your only option is the Verizon variant if you want to use VZW, and I would suggest you buy the VZW DEV edition if you want guaranteed bootloader unlock.
Good Luck
Beyond the LTE bands being different, does the sprint X even use the same 1XRTT/EVDO bands and settings as Verizon? This will be a challenge getting that part even working.

Yes. The Sprint variant supports 1X, and EVDO/EHRPD on both 800 and 1900. Sprint has a roaming agreement with Verizon....
I own the RW Moto X (identical in every way to the Sprint variant except firmware - even the same FCC ID), and in areas where no Sprint service is available, it will roam to Verizon on both 1X and 3G (EVDO), but (of course) not LTE. RW is the only Sprint MVNO (that I know of - possibly the only one period) that allows roaming to Verizon.
Remember: PagePlus is an MVNO of Verizon, and people have successfully flash the Sprint variant to PP.
You could get 1X and 3G/EVDO, but that's it.

Thanks for all the advice.
I'll just hold off for the X2 (X+1), or just be happy with DE 32GB of Moto X.
I'm trying to "fix" my reception problem. Love everything about my Note 3 except its inability to connect to a signal in a fringe area, The Note 3 has been replaced once already by Verizon for the reception problem. My previous phone was a Razr Maxx. Verizon is my carrier. The reception issue only affects me in an area that I hunt.(I generally hunt alone and communication is a safety issue) I did a side by side comparison with my Note 3 and a Verizon 4g I pad. Where I had absolutely no signal on the Note 3 I had some 4g on the Ipad and 3g was good. I had used the Razr Maxx in the exact same spot with no problem either voice or text. (An internet search seems to indicate that the Motorola radios have been some of the best performing) I still have the Razr Maxx. Can I charge up the Razr Maxx, insert the Sim card from the Note 3 and use it when I am hunting? If that is possible can I get a duplicate Sim card to keep in the Razr Maxx as long as I don't have both phones turned on at the same time? Will Verizon duplicate the Sim card for me or do I have to buy the duplicating equipment I see on line. Thanks.
I have a razr maxx hd as backup and the same problem with my note 3 you do. I will be very curious to see the answer from somebody who has done it. VZW told me not to....they want me to call them to deactivate the n3 and activate the rmhd but this could be an easier, quicker solution...but only if it works uneventfully.

You cant have duplicate sims. Just take the sim out of the note 3 and put in razr for whatever period of time you want. I switch phones frequently all that is needed on 4G phones is a sim card swap. No calls to VZW
I also have the razr maxx I swap out the sim card ever day no problem what so ever.
