MJ6 was only the leak. MJ9 is the official. From what I have seen those that took the MJ6 leak haven't been able to update to MJ9.

Root for Galaxy S4 AT&T 4.3
Hello there,
So, today I managed to get my phone from the leaked MJ6 to MJ9 and managed to root it. This is how I did it.
1) Download V-Root (The one click root solution) from my attachment . THIS WORKS 100% FOR 4.3 MJ9!
2) On your device, go to Applications - Settings - More - About device.
3) What you need to do is here is TAP Baseband Version 5 times and this will enable Developer Options on your phone.
4) Now go back to More and click on Developer Options.
5) Click on "Enable USB Debugging"
Once you are done with the above steps,
6) Connect your device to the PC make sure it's powered ON and not on the lockscreen.
7) Open V-Root as administrator.
8) Click the little check box and click on Root.
9) This will do it's job and make the device restart.
10) Once the device restarts you have SuperSU installed AND THE PHONE IS ROOTED!
You'r Welcome

It has TROJ_GEN.F47V1102
I would use v-root if it didn't put weird binary files in my phone, and add keys to my pc's Registry to open ports to some server in China....

Test it out but after you "root" delete / uninstall the pc app and just edit your registry.

MJ6 was the leaked version as you know whereas MJ9 was the final official version released this Wednesday.
I can personally find a bit improvement in MJ9 also I think it solves the battery leakage problem of MJ6. It's working awesome so far.

I haven't updated nor tried to root the OTA but I wanted to comment on you comment. I bought the "pro" version a couple years ago and love it. I have used the root survival when I had a Moto RAZR HD Maxx and went from ICS to Jelly Bean. And it worked. Also a cool feature with PRO is that if the ROM came with Supersu built in, as most do , it will ask to uninstall or not the built in supersu and make the pro default.
I recommend it. Plus it helps fund the developer.

and a OTA files build N8000DDALI1 ,4.1.1
Is this the first stock JB firmware?
I'm downloading now,but i don't know if it's multi language or not.
Sorry if i posted to the wrong place...
Looks like it. There is clearely 4.1.1 stated. Can't wait until I can update to it... Or maybe I can do it now using that file?
Wow sounds awesome.
I am hoping that we are going to also be getting the Note 2.0 goodness with this OTA.
P.S. If you are rooted always run your OTA through Kies to prevent bootlooping. To play it really safe just wait on the devs to clean it up first.

I believe the MOST reliable way to update an OTA is through Kies on your desktop. If Kies doesn't show it is available to you yet it isn't. Just Google Kies if you want to install it on your desktop.
Don't try to force an OTA not made for you and don't use the software update feature on your tablet if you are rooted. Will break things.

i have found a way, flash the india 4.0.4 version thru odin and then connect thru kies voila..
Whereas rom development for the SGN10.1 has been a little slow to catch fire I believe it will accelerate appreciably once Jellybean is out. No reason for a top developer to spend a lot of time on an ICS rom.
Cm10 seems to be going very well but for those of us not anxious to give up the various S-goodies we'll just have to wait.

I have tried that and all it says is that im on the latest. Not that good on kies but is there a way toi force kies to check for firmware update? In older kies i think there was a button called check for firmware updates. Cant find such a button now.
People I am telling you you are asking for trouble flashing an OTA not designed for your device. Just be patient. Samsung devices are hard brickable. Just wait. If Kies doesn't have it you aren't supposed to have it.

Hmm I didn't even think of that, Im pretty sure its off now that I think about it. Oh well I booted into Windows 8 so I can run Odin and revert back to stock 4.0.4 anyways. Ill just see if Kies functions better on this side of things hehehe.
I got the notification and tried it with Kies but I finally gave up. Either because I'm rooted or some other reason it just sits there at 0% and never does the update after the download. I tried it 4 times.
Well iv successfully updated to jelly bean using mobile odin which allowed me to keep root and cwm recovery

works here too, Even with the first 4.2.2 German Update: Just had to hit menu button to start it up. :cyclops:
for anyone else , in the menu just select and set it to while charging from default dock mode , as most did not notice it because likely no one was using a dock.
Updated mine the other day. I noticed lower benchmark score (from 18K+ down to 17.5K+). Anyone with same experience?. Also, I have to uninstall some updated apps from playstore and install it again before they function right. (Case in point, Google Chrome, Drive, G+, and WeChat).

This just confirms that we WONT be getting an update any time soon to 4.4.
Both Samsung and ATT have some sort of BS going on. Probably something with the additional bloatware not working with 4.4 and is the reason why they have not released 4.4 to the public.
This type of BS may push me over the edge with both Samsung and ATT.
Samsung needs to pull an Apple and not allow any carriers to add junk to their phones, thats one thing I respect about Apple.

Well my phone somehow managed to update itself while in my Otterbox holster. I lost my root. Is it safe to re-root using Kingo again?

The same thing happened to me. This sucks. I guess I should have froze future updates through Titanium Backup. We may be temporarily screwed.

Just rerooted using Kingo Root and seems to have worked. It did seem to take longer than I remember last time but i'm rooted again after this mornings update.

I am trying to re-root using Kingo but my phone keeps rebooting as Kingo root program says "waiting for device". I remember there being something special I had to do to get it to root last time. What did you do to root yours again?

Just made sure the phone had USB Debugging on and put it in MTP mode when plugged into USB. Other than that I just let Kingo do its thing. It did reboot one time during the root process but was re-detected by Kingo after restarting and the process continued. Also got the warning about mtkCamera being potentially unsafe during part of the process but told it to goahead anyway. Using Kingo 1.2.0

I haven't rooted and flashed ROMs in a couple years. I know a lot has changed. Could someone please get me started?. I hope that I attached the pic correctly.
My Verizon Note 3 is only a month old and I haven't done anything to it yet due to lack of knolage. I also don't want to trip the Knox counter. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link.
So that method will not trip the Knox counter?.
And how do I find if I have NC2 or NC4.?

Never mind. I think I got it figured out. I have NC4, correct?

From the pic you've shown you're on NC4. As long as you follow the directions you won't trip Knox. Happy rooting and flashing... ?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but are custom ROMs working on Verizon Note 3?
Meaning, are they still buggie or are there stable ROMs for it?

There all pretty stable. If you choose to do use Jasmine 2.3 please read the OP thoroughly as that's a S5 port for the Note 3.

So if I need to go back to stock for a warranty issue..do I just flash the original until rooted firmware? ?
Use Odin to flash the stock NC4 Tar. Both can be found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524572
Hyperdrive not installing
Hey, I'm having trouble getting hyperdrive to install. I rooted my phone a couple weeks ago, Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 kk 4.4.2, ss 3.75. I successfully installed jasmine, but I want a bit more out of my phone. Downloaded rsl8 3x, but when I install and reboot I get a black screen for 15 min, unresponsive, so I pull the battery and do the vol down /home /pwr button trick to get it to reboot. Any ideas?

You have to flash the NC2 kernel to get hyperdrive to boot. It's flashed in Odin. Put your phone in download mode and flash in the ap slot. See this post here for NC2 kernel. Step 8 coming from NC4 OTA. You should boot up after that.

Should I wipe and flash the deodex rom on the stock side first? I kindof figured it would take a little more work with this phone. I had my Razr running pretty good, but the Note 3 is much more complex. Thanks for the help!

If you've already flashed Hyperdrive just flash the NC2 kernel and you should be okay.

Well, I booted into download mode and it said "downloading do not turn off target" for about 20 min. Never gave an option to flash anything. I put the NC2 file on my SD card to flash it, but... What am I missing?

Okay, assumed you knew how to use Odin. NC2 kernel isn't flashed through a recovery on your phone. You need your computer and Odin software.

Thanks!

So I tried flashing with Odin and it says operation complete, 0 succeeded 0 failed, and no download written no significant changes. Guess I'll do a full wipe and redo when I have the chance, start over fresh.
