I haven't rooted and flashed ROMs in a couple years. I know a lot has changed. Could someone please get me started?. I hope that I attached the pic correctly.
My Verizon Note 3 is only a month old and I haven't done anything to it yet due to lack of knolage. I also don't want to trip the Knox counter. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

So that method will not trip the Knox counter?.
And how do I find if I have NC2 or NC4.?

From the pic you've shown you're on NC4. As long as you follow the directions you won't trip Knox. Happy rooting and flashing... ?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but are custom ROMs working on Verizon Note 3?
Meaning, are they still buggie or are there stable ROMs for it?

There all pretty stable. If you choose to do use Jasmine 2.3 please read the OP thoroughly as that's a S5 port for the Note 3.

So if I need to go back to stock for a warranty issue..do I just flash the original until rooted firmware? ?
Use Odin to flash the stock NC4 Tar. Both can be found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524572
Hyperdrive not installing
Hey, I'm having trouble getting hyperdrive to install. I rooted my phone a couple weeks ago, Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 kk 4.4.2, ss 3.75. I successfully installed jasmine, but I want a bit more out of my phone. Downloaded rsl8 3x, but when I install and reboot I get a black screen for 15 min, unresponsive, so I pull the battery and do the vol down /home /pwr button trick to get it to reboot. Any ideas?

You have to flash the NC2 kernel to get hyperdrive to boot. It's flashed in Odin. Put your phone in download mode and flash in the ap slot. See this post here for NC2 kernel. Step 8 coming from NC4 OTA. You should boot up after that.

Should I wipe and flash the deodex rom on the stock side first? I kindof figured it would take a little more work with this phone. I had my Razr running pretty good, but the Note 3 is much more complex. Thanks for the help!

Okay, assumed you knew how to use Odin. NC2 kernel isn't flashed through a recovery on your phone. You need your computer and Odin software.

Your best bet is to start over by flashing the stock MF3 files using ODIN. From there, re-root your phone, reinstall SafeStrap, and try again. You most likely flashed a non-TW based ROM... remember only TW roms work with SS right now.
If you have any other questions, I'll try to explain it in more detail.

First off, download ODIN 1.85 it seems to be the one that most people have the best luck with.
Grab the MF3 TAR files
Extract the MF3 files to a folder, say on your desktop. ie. MF3
Open ODIN and refer to this picture...

For more information about how to use ODIN you can refer to here, and here.
I've personally never had to use it, so my steps are only from general observation. You might want to double check yourself. So if anyone has has any other info to help him feel free to post.

@DevilDog512 I stand corrected. What did you have to do to get that working?
Safestrap 3.70 in the android development section. Have only flashed this rom so far but have 0 issues. There's a kernelmodules.zip in that thread too that you flash just like you've been doing on 3.65. Can't adjust the system partition size but I don't use more than rom slot 1 anyway so no big deal to me. I'm sure it'll be fixed when it becomes official. Maybe today or tomorrow, but it's damn close to being ready.

You flash a kernel through recovery (not stock recovery) either cwm or safestrap.

Read up on the forums or you'll be using Odin all right. I would not flash any 4.3 roms if you don't know what you're doing. Use Xposed with wanam till safe strap can be perfected.

I just used Odin today. I'm on mk2 but I installed safestrap 3.70 and had darthstalker but decided I didn't really like it much.. Installed the modules and went back to stock ROM but it felt like my 4g download speeds were slow less than 1mb. So I odin the mf3 recovery files than side loaded back to mk2 because I tried factory resetting and 4g wasn't working that good.

I used the update.zip in Stock recovery to go from mf3 to mk2. Not sure how that'll work out if i screw something up. I have the mf3 stock tar files and hash has said he has mk2 tars. I figure there's enough out there to get me back up. I tried flashing every ge rom i could find to no avail. Apparently it's pretty hit or miss right now. I read that they may have found a way to flash some custom kernels on mf3. The same day i upgrade. Hopefully they can get that sorted out and we can pretend like we own our $500 phones.

My phone is S4 mk2 with 4.3 jelly bean. I used Odin3 v3.07 with CF-Auto-Root-jfltecan-jfltevl-sghi337m.tar.md5 to root my phone. Once its rooted when I restart my phone I see Samsung Custom with a unlock icon. I then install safestrap 3.72 on my phone and restarted into safestrap. I first created the recovery(I dont know where it put the recovery file but I assume my SD card). It shows recovery is installed successfully. I then wiped all the data except SD card. and restarted. I thought it will restart into SafeStrap but it doesnt. now My phone stuck on Samsung Screen with unlock icon or I can still go to Odin downloading mode. Is there a way I can get back to my android OS? please help
Do you have I337 or I337M? With i337, you can replace recovery; safestrap is the working recovery for you. With i337m, you don't need safestrap; you can use custom recovery directly.

You do have a ROM that has the look and feel of S5 ROM. Search for "Samy Deluxe ROM S5" in the All things AT&T thread.
Alright, so my AT&T S4 is on 5.0.1 lollipop and I need to root it. I don't have root access and muniz_ri's thread says that I need to flash back to NB1. Before I flash, I went to download mode and saw words that were in blue: Secure Download enabled. I'm not sure what it means, so I don't do anything yet, in case I mess something up. My point is that I need help on what that means and if it is safe to flash back.

Man, you're worrying too much. You can always get back. Worst case is you ota back. It might take awhile as ota's come sequential. Just flash the nb1 tar in Odin. Boot up and it'll most likely want to ota right away to nc1. Let it do it. Then root with towelroot. Then use the keep root method to go up to oc3. Don't bother setting up the rest of your device, ie apps etc. Until you're back too lollipop.

It do a lot!!! You can't load TWRP to phone via heimdall for example... You can flash it via Odin... if You have windows
Why not just use the KingRoot app or the PC program wondershare Go Pro to root?
Is there anything out there that will work flashed with a real recovery rather then just SafeStrap?
With the recent bootloader unlock, I'm curious whats currently available? and what might actually work, will anything we currently have work?
Or does everything have to be customized to work now that we have a true bootloader unlock?

I'm just got around to trying Jasmine I've been flashing everything under the sun all night, CM13, Dirty Unicorns, and now Jasmine but
a bunch of other stuff also.
I'm having trouble connecting to my 4G LTE data on all of them including Jasmine,
is there some modem firmware I should be flashing over these ROMs after installation?
A couple ROMs did include firmware flashing instructions but I wasn't sure if that was relevant
if coming from OF1 to a unlocked bootloader and then flashing a custom ROM.
Too be fair though its hard to pick out which instructions are relevant when the bootloader
is unlocked and you have a real recovery, and which doesn't apply to us, since the instructions
usually aren't written with that in mind. =/
I've never seen this before with ROMs on other phones.
Anyone having issues with non-Verizon server providers especially MVNO's like Straight Talk (Verizon)?
Thanks for the info that its working for most people and should be working, I wonder
what my issue with it is then.
I've been trying to enter in a custom Access Point Name on a bunch of the ROMs, unfortunately Jasmine's seems to be greyed
out and I can't add a custom one.
Cellular phone calls are working, but data is not though Dirty Unicorns did have 1X data working but that is the best
I've come up with so far.
I just need to deliver something usable on this phone so my uncle can wait for a CM release that mostly works.
We were worried about a update being shipped out on the stock ROM updating over the bootloader unlock,
so we went ahead and tried some of the custom ROMs everyone has have generally positive results with.
After a long time playing around with it I accidentally formatted my TWRP backup of the stock ROM not paying
enough attention, which I should have backed up to a real hard drive.
I originally came to this trying to get hotspot working since he's on a MVNO the stock Verizon Note 3 ROM
won't hotspot or tether, and he has no other options for a little internet access out in the boonies.
Now I'm in a odd situation having to deliver something that works well enough for him to wait it out for a
CM release.
And don't know if flashing stock will lock the bootloader again or if I should flash it with Odin or if I can flash a stock
image with TWRP and where to get one for that.
I would prefer not to have to do that though.

In the Jasmine installation instructions should I be following anything related to the developer edition?
FLASH lk_hltevzw-v6.4.zip in recovery after flashing the Jasmine ROM image?
And in our situation should I be flashing the firmware with Odin after the install as per the Developer Edition instructions?
Or just flashing Jasmine and rebooting?

No disregard the instructions about the kernel if your bootloader is from the 0F1 firmware update. A custom kernel needing to be flashed was only for developer editions because the bootloader was unable to be upgraded without locking the device. Hence tweaks to the kernel were needed to run the rom with no issues. It doesn't apply to you if you unlocked your 0F1 bootloader.

Got any ideas for someone who has successfully flashed Jasmine before but then went
and tried a bunch of ROMs to see if they would work but then when I was done
went back to flash Jasmine and now it infinitely boots never stops after flash?
[Solved]
Weird I cannot get Jasmine to boot without flashing the kernel, but I can get her
to boot with it.
I'm really thinking I need a clean slate on this.
