You do know that porting a ROM involves much more than following an "Easy port" tutorial, don't you? Drivers, kernels, framework, libs etc. have to be ported too.
Does adb work? If yes, try getting a logcat.

Yes I'll grab that and yes I'm aware that I'll need to do some modding of files . I'll post those in a bit once kids are off my computer. Both bases I used are 4.22 and are both made for T-Mobile. I let you know.

I am keeping eye on this thread. Thanks.

I tried to get a log but if I am correct it won't log due to its a fresh install and it does not boot past Google logo. If I am mistaken please show me where I have gone wrong. Help is most welcome and always appreciated.

you will need drivers for it to boot, among other things. most likely you would will have to write your own, since they are closed source. its not as easy as just making the rom fit the n4, its everything else that goes with it that makes it hard.

I can help you maybe
Add me on skype i can help you maybe skype:vova50006:good:

Thats's for the milestone. I presume he asked for the droid. Not sure if it will work.
Thanks guys.
Well, my sbf file kept failing to install. I was careful to check # of bytes every step of the way. Tried building it 3 times.
At least I was always able to flash the stock M logo back each time, no bricked device. Any advice?
I don't know if this would help at all?
I've given up on it for now, decided to make a boot animation with the icon I wanted instead. Thanks.
Hey this is probably one of the easiest ways to make a boot logo. The program works great and i use it all the time. Check it out

Now that was easy. Thank you.
Still wish I knew where I went wrong building my own sbf, but happy to have it done.
Thanks.

Request for rom for ME301T

Isn't there anyone one here who would be willing to make a rom for the ME301t besides the stock ones? If we were willing to donate money to get it done?

Cromi-x and Geimlock are already compatible with ME301T... :good::good::victory:
Since the ME301T is so close to the TF300 in terms of specs and because of how easy it was to make the ME301 work on CROMI or GRIMLOCK, its possible that there might only be a few minor things that need to change to make a ME301 work on a CM rom. Since there are no devs who own an ME301T we would needs some help from the community to get it to work.
Mainly we would need for someone with an ME301T to install a CM based rom and see if it will boot. From there you would need to get a logcat and send it to us so we can see if we can fix the issues that are preventing it from working.

Sounds like it isn't too far off. What I need is for someone to try and flash a CM rom and send me logs of when it is booting up etc. As a suggestion, I would try this rom: GRIMLOCK_CM_3.0 as it is the rom I am working on. It would be easiest for me to help on that.

Okay, will do. I'll download and it and give it a shot. I'm not very good with the logcat stuff, lol, but I will do my best.
Well, it boots into the rom and I get a little circle which is a mouse I guess. I can get around and I can get into settings but I can't figure out how to get down to about tablet so I can get to usb debugging. If I try to adb while it's booting up adb just says waiting for device... So I can't do the logcat. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong or a way to get adb working?

Okay, I messed around and finally got usb debugging turned on. Rebooted and did this logcat. I can't get wifi turned on at all.
BTW: I love this rom without all the google crap on it. I have always hated having to run through all the setup wizard crap too. Thank you for helping with this. I'm very excited about getting this rom for my tablet.

Okay, I wasn't sure if you meant to flash both files one right after the other, so I flashed the rom, then the test. Sticks me at CyanogenMod animation. Then I did a clean flash of just the rom, rebooted and flashed the test, it booted, said Android is updating apps and then gets stuck at starting apps. So then I rebooted just to see if maybe that would do it but that just sticks at CM animation once again.

Okay, it now boots into the rom but you still have to use the little circle as a mouse and I can now turn wifi on but it just sticks at turning on wifi.
Turned wifi off and back on now it says To see available networks, turn on wifi.

Instead of being able to just touch the screen and make choices, this little round circle pops up when you touch the screen and you have to move that little circle around and tap on the circle twice to make choices. It's like using a touch pad for the mouse on a laptop. For instance, if you want to open settings you have to position the little circle on the settings button, tap twice, it opens settings, then you have to position the circle on say wifi and tap the circle again. To scroll, you have to position the little circle at the very bottom of settings, and it's a hit or miss type of thing, tap it and then move it upwards to get to the bottom, like about tablet and tap the little circle again. Does that make since? The rom is basically mouse driven instead of touch driven.
This logcat is while it's booting and also once I'm in the rom.
Bluetooth is definitely working. I connected a bluetooth mouse and I can navigate with that instead of having to navigate with the little circle.

[Q] Tmobile g2 No OS and blocked twrp

I Am probably one of the biggest idiots on this site, My phone prompted me for an update so, like an idiot, I accepted the ota update. Okay, no biggie, you can fix that in the terminal. So i did the most idiotic thing, I cleared the system partition, and then I went to fix the bootloop into recovery mode, i entered the codes and then I reset, I didnt think anyting of it when it said no OS installed.. So i rebooted and it wont go past the lg bootlogo with the teal and green led. So am I basically just screwed or is there a way to fix it? This is my only phone and I can not afford a new one, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried this?

You could try putting the phone into download mode and using the LG Mobile Launcher. Make sure you have the most recent drivers.
Good luck.

Im about to install ubuntu so I can try this, but so far I havent been able to get it into download mode to my knowledge. It does however, make a sound when i attempt to , so that might be good. Thanks for the reply
The solution in the posted link does not require download mode. Just plug in to USB and follow the instructions. The LG software requires download mode.
Hope Ubuntu works for you.

[Q] Seeks Expert Help on Bricked ATT LG G2 using Straight Talk Sim

Elite thanks in advance. No, seriously, thanks. I'm a broke single parent of 2 kids and I realized my phone is about my only guilty pleasure after giving my kids 200% of my time and money. Any help would be appreciated.
I have an LG G2 that I apparently bricked by using an app to "freeze" the latest OTA software update that was pushed to my ATT LG G2 about a month + ago if not slightly longer. I unfroze the process and the update suddenly appeared and said it would reboot the phone and or apply the update it in 30 seconds. I panicked and held the power button in to turn the phone off.
Once the phone was turned back on I was greeted with tiny white text that said "error: Boot certification verify" From here I was unable to get into down load mode, do a hard reset. I was able to see fast boot mode but wasn't sure what to do with it. I was able to see the phone in Windows 7 Pro Sp1 device manager but it was listed as QHSUSB_BULK
After initially freaking out which lasted about 20 mins, I was able to compose myself and start researching my new seemingly serious problem. After a few hours of reading a dozen or so treads / hundreds of replies it seemed I would have to load into Ubuntu and push some files to my LG G2.
I followed this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
I was very careful to follow this guide to the letter and everything went as expected the first, 2nd and 3rd time only the results were worse and worse and worse.
The first time I lost fast boot, the 2nd time I lost the boot certification verify error, After the 3rd attempt I get a split second LG Logo and that's it. What did I do during those 3 attempts? The first time, the 4 files and the recovery as directed. The 2nd time, the same files, plus the boot.img and a different recovery. The 3rd time, all the files and yet a different recovery. All the files were pulled from here - http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/D800
The other recovery.imgs were for the correct model, just older, newer variants. I was very careful to push the right files to the right partitions.
I can still see the phone via Ubuntu. I'm scared to do anything else along the lines of what I've been doing. In fact I'm lost as to what to do next.
Can anyone here help me push more / different files via Ubuntu that would help bring my phone back to life? I'm completely dead in the water. Or perhaps an exe package / program that can fix my problem? If I sound stupid, it's because this is all new to me.
Thanks in advance, Tom
@rthefley Go back to the autoprime downloads and get the boot, aboot and laf image. Follow the ubuntu guide and flash those images only.
@art
Thank you for taking the time to stop and help me. I greatly appreciate it. I followed your instructions and pushed those 3 files in the order you gave me. Results were the same, nothing. I still get a very brief LG logo but nothing more. I can get into the hard reset but it does nothing as well.
Here are pics I took of the files and directories from my phone connected via usb through Ubuntu. There are a few wrong commands, ignore them. GF was behind me talking and I wasn't focused. I can assure you the proper cmds were given when it counted.
Well ....... I guess I cannot post links ............. so they are edited out. I wanted to show that my highest number was sbe43 so I had to use sbe
Im using the files from the D800 dir which is the ATT LG G2. Or should I tried another directory or files? I can still access the phone via Ubuntu ... THANK GOD
I am still hopeful.

No, I've never been able to get into the download mode.
The only way I can access my phone is via Ubuntu. Hard Reset doest work even though I can get to that screen and initiate the process, it doesn't complete.

Your directories are fine. But if you successfully flashed those 3 partitions, you should Have a working download mode. Make sure you fully power off the phone, you might have to hold the button down for a while.

Yes I'm pretty sure it's completely powered off. I will try again but I've held the power button in for several several seconds and saw the screen go solid black. No they are different, I actually gdisked all of the different letters but I have an sda,c,b and e, I even have have an sde1. All the numbers follow sde however up to 42 or 43. So when I gdisk -l /dev/sde that's when I see all the files.
I've tried to gdisk sdb but I get a mbr / gpt or something error saying something is corrupted so I just leave it alone.
Should I be looking at a different letter then? If so, I can't seem to get into any of them other than the one I mentioned, sde

I got it to compile and it said "done" but when i flash the rom.zip it gets stuck at manufactor logo. i did not install anything else. thats all. ideas?
Phone is Nexus 4 8GB MAKO.

You're going to need to get some sort of logs to troubleshoot such as dmesg or kmsg. Unfortunately in order to get that without being able to boot the rom and enable root/developer mode settings, I believe you will need a modified kernel.
