I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to use SMS sent time rather then received time for my incoming texts. I live in an area where reception isn't the best so i'd like to know how late i am in answering my texts rather than what time i happened to get enough bars to receive it

I get a lot of calls, often getting calls when already on a call.
I had a TYTN II before, and it had a function that allowed me to hang up current call and answer new call.
I don't think the HD2 allows that? Only gives me option to answer new call, which leaves other call running. I end up having to ignore new call, hang up current call and call the other person back (at my cost).
I spend about 24hrs a month on the phone, so the more i can answer calls when the come in, the cheaper it is for me.
Any one know a solution.
Also side issue. I used to get appointment reminders. And if i had the persons phone number in the appointment, i could dial it from the reminder. Was great if i was running late. it seems to have disapeared, probably with an update. anyone know how to reactivate it?
anyone got any ideas?
ok still waiting for help on this.
Howdy,
A few weeks ago I bought a new Nexus 4 directly from Google. This problem has been with the phone ever since I've received it, though, as it isn't too serious, I have just dealt with it. Basically, when I receive a notification, such as a text or facebook message, the phone will ring, but it won't stop, until I check the notification. For example, if I were to receive a text and was not home, the phone would ring, and ring, and ring, until I get home to check the notification. I do not believe that this is intended. So, my question is, what should I do to try and fix it?
Phone: Nexus 4
Carrier: giffgaff (UK)
ROM: Stock
(If I've forgotten any details which may be useful, remind me and I'll add them)
Thanks, Expi.
I've the S4 for a little over a week, but it's been a rather busy week so I haven't given it my full attention as yet. I really like it so far, I haven't gotten all the bells and whistles to work and I'm testing battery life with them disabled vs enabled etc. But I'm not really doing much else with it yet.
The only actual issue I'm having is receiving phone calls. When someone calls me, it takes a couple rings on their end before my phone starts ringing (I've encountered this with Sprint before though) but then when I try to answer the call, I don't get the person on the other end. I get a recorded message telling me I've got an incoming call from (name of caller in my contacts list) and if I want to accept to press 1 now. The message takes so long to get to that point that by the time it tells me to press 1 to accept the call, the call goes into voicemail.
I don't receive a lot of phone calls, but I would like to be able to actually answer them when I do. As of now when someone does call me I have to call them back.
This message plays AFTER I've 'accepted' the call on the screen and it plays through the handset not the speakers. I have Google voice set up for my voicemail.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you have google voice setup or you used to. You will have to go to the site on your pc to disable it.

I thought Google Voice had something to do with it but I didn't think of checking the settings via PC.
For anyone else with the same issue: Google.com/voice>settings>calls> call screening off.
Does anyone else have this problem? I will randomly receive a group of text that people have sent me over a long period of time all at once.
Sometimes it is network problem, not the phone itself.
Hey guys I have a quick question. I own a s8 Canadian version with Bell and I wanted to know if I'm the only with this issue. My text messages always come in late no matter which app I use and when people call me they get the ringing on their end but my phone doesn't wake up to ring. So I've been missing a lot of calls.
I noticed it happens when I'm connected to wifi. If I'm on LTE it seems to work fine.
Looks like I'm the only one with this issue.
That's really weird
