[Q] Driving mode - like from Galaxy S2 (i9100) - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I switched to my S4 from S2 and since i use my phone as GPS navigation, radio (when need to) etc. i frequently used s2 dedicated vehicle dock. It always switch my phone to driver mode, which was - chaning screen (including touchwiz!!!) to horizontal position if it phone was in horizontal position, phone'ing and answering automaticlly turned on loud speaker so i could hear someone from it etc.
I've recently bough the S3 mount and i'm not so happy with it. But what i miss most in S4 is that auto-driving-mode-things. I know S4 has driving mode, but it doesnt rotate touchwiz and doesnt auto turn on speaker for phone calls. Is there an app or some way (mod) for me to use such things? I'm on MH8 with root so as long as it doesn't require custom kernel/recovery i should be able to use it (though it would be best to use just normal app, should be enough).
Also i prefer touchwiz and if there is possibility i'd like to stick with it (for that auto-rotate thing, i know that other lauchner have that ability from start).

[Q] app for incoming call mute when phone is placed screen down.

Hello, I was Htc desire user for a while (more than 2.5 years ). And I am used to mute incoming calls flipping my phone screen down on the table. And now I can`t find any good solutions for nexus 4. Tried Flip4Silence but it is to sensitive even with the lowest sensitive settings. So it mutes when the phone is not completely flipped screen down. For example it mutes when I am taking it from my pouch, or from my pocket. Other apps tends only to toggle silent mode, when telephone is flipped in display down position. But they are far more accurate, than flip4silence.
Any ideas?

AOKP has the feature built in so if you're looking for a custom rom, I would suggest switching to that. Besides that I'm unsure of any other programs that may allow you to do the same.

Thanks. But I am looking for an app. I will stick to rooted stock for a while.
I am 100% that apps could do that, because my mentioned Flip4Silence could do that, but it is to sensitive and inaccurate.

[Q] Galaxy S4 i9505 screen issues (touch and rotate)

I recently got a S4 from a friend. At that moment it did not have a front glass (made an order from Ebay).
Now the first problem I noticed was the rotation problems. When Auto Rotate is on everything goes reverse. Default camera app has everything rotate as well (at all times). Tried to recalibrating but that did no good.
Second problem is that when I use the phone the damn thing at some point goes crazy. Hardly recognizes my finger (draw a line and it will mostly consists of dots). Use my knuckle and I can use it properly.
Can anyone help me? I need to get this thing fixed ASAP
The drawing shows how drawing 4 lines seems like. The only real line is made with my knuckle
And the other is showing my camera rotation problem.

Air gesture sensor (infra red) always on. i's normal?

Hi there. I have a Galaxy s4 (i9505 model). Does nowbody eles noticed that the air gesture sensor that is a infra red sensor is always on? That can be senn only by looking at it trough a nather camera. There ara some exemples that i noticed on youtube. (cant post them becose im new )
It is anoyng to know that this sensor it's eating battery and it's in my eyes all the time. Cann enebody thell me how to disabele it. (It's off in settings, bat as i have senn in a youtube video it's powered on eavean at the begining of using a phone after unboxing)
Thanks!
Maybe that's how it is supposed to work?
I can't check to see to see mine is the same. I don't have any camera to check. I'm running a GPE rom, which has none of those samsung touchwiz features.
It's like this on many s4 models. I'v seen it on youtube and in real life too. Today i have cheked a s4 model in a store, the little sensor is on all the time the screen it's on (air gesture off in settings). But on S5 and Note3 (i have friends and i have checked) it's activated only when the air gesture setting it's on and eaven then not all the time, the little sensor glows only when an app it's compatible with the air gesture (ex gallery, browser) ant the little hand simbol it's on the notification bar. So i think it's a bug, and if you ask me a big bug to be on all the time (when screen it's on). Somehowe it's writen in the OS, i only whish to know if it can be deactivated for good.

Don't forget that the sensor might be used by other functions. Smart stay or smart scrolling maybe.

All features ar off in settings, still the little sensor is powered on all the time. Not sutch a big deal after all. Only thing i have found to say sow wrong on the dievice .
PS. Still....cant bealive that so many skilled people around here dont know about this and dont care about this . Not to say dont know how to turn it off, becose it's not normal since on S5 and Note3 the behavior of the sesnor it's totaly diferent and logical a sansor always on (eaven whenn all seting thell hin to be off) it's only eating pointless battery.

i9505 - issues with smart dock after lollipop upgrade

Hi all. I've looked for an answer to this issue, but to no avail.
I usually dock my s4 to samsung' s smart dock at home and I use it connected to a tv with mouse and keyboard attached for basic needs. Till lollipop upgrade everything worked flawlessy, now there are some issues:
Original TW: upon connection (power, hdmi etc), the screen goes off and appears on the tv, oriented and scaled to fill the display. this is fairly good, since I don't need anymore a rotation control app, the problem is that if the screen goes off, the only way to interact with the phone is via keyboard and mouse, which is annoying. does anyone know a way to control this behaviour?
GPE: the screen stays on upon connection, but sound is not sent through hdmi, only through the smart dock 3.5mm connectior
thanks, any hint appreciated

G530AZ with touch screen/ screen rotation combo issues

The phone model is a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime G530AZ.
It is on stock 5.1.1 firmware.
Experiencing the problems in a couple different ways. The first instance that I'll mention involves the keyboard while in the stock messaging app.
The area that you press on to bring up the keyboard in order to compose the message is completely unresponsive while the phone is turned vertical with screen in portrait mode .... now, I found out today that if I turn the phone sideways/ horizontally and the screen rotates into landscape mode, then the messaging area becomes responsive and the keyboard pops up just as it should without any problems.
The next instance with the issues that I mention is with playing certain games from the Google play store such as candy crush ... etc.
While the screen is vertical, with the rotation in portrait mode, then the touch screen becomes unresponsive with certain aspects of the game which involves usually, tracing a line with your finger across various Adams on the game screen... Though if the screen is rotated into landscape mode attempting the same action which the touchscreen was previously unresponsive to suddenly works like it should /Touchscreen working normal versus how it was working whilst in landscape mode
I know there's gotta be a fix for this I mean it really does not seem like a hardware is you though i'm not a professional So I'm reaching out to everyone here that might possibly be able to help... If anything at least maybe direct me the right direction for a fix or solution you-know-what I mean ...
Just recently achieved root user access with KingRoot apk ... Though the issues with the touchscreen began long before achieving the root user access so I'm fairly positive that that is not the reason for the problems due to that fact .
Now i've tried looking everywhere online and google search is not returning any where close to the results that I am looking for about this issue...
Any and all assistance/advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Please and thank you for your time ...
