video camera

this may be a stupid question but
Does anyone know if theres a way to access either of the cameras on the hermes via the pc ? I have had a scramble round but cannot get the camera to show externally, i'd like to use it as a web cam,

There is a cool app called CoolCamera and it has a Webcam option in there... It also allows you to record in higher sizes and better quality than the included camera software.

i think the idea is great! have you seen the iphone interface for ORB.com?? I would love to see one for windows mobile if you get around to it.

.NETCF 3.5 error
When I try and run the software, it tells me that I need a newer version of .NETCF. I have installed 3.5 successfully on my phone and it is working fine with other .NetCF3.5 dependant programs.
I have a WM6 GSmart i300.

Actually, there's two ways around that. WinAmp Mobile works very well (and is free) and does most everything Orb does. Or, if you want to spend $30, Kinoma (which actually uses Orb) is probably the best multimedia program I've used on WM.

Anytime I try to upload it says unexpected error and closes....? Using an AT&T Tilt... On another note the GUI looks awesome icons and everything. I normally change the icons in the start menu the one is the only one that I haven't changed it looks pretty smooth...

Icon thanks to wapvirus . Right down to your problem.
Are you using Email upload or direct Upload?
Email has a draw back that you have to send and receive your email before it shows up in the album.
I can build you a special version to help debug this issue, if you are willing to test it for me?
I guess if you are the only one with problems, the weeks effort was worth it.

Video editing software for our Diamond ?

Hi all,
I used to be really enthused by the small video editing app included in my Sony Ericsson fans. It was very useful to edit video, make personal editing etc... to send via MMS. Assembling clips was made easy and intuitive.
I can't find such an app for pocket PC. I stumbled onto http://www.trakax.com/software/mobile. It's a useful editing software with cutting edge graphix, but not free and quite cumbersome to use...
Do you happen to know a complete video editing software for our beloved pocket pc? It SHOULD exist but I could'nt find anything out there...

I found nothing.. I hope there will be some video editing software some day, i had a sony ericsson phone, and they have this simple video editing software called VideoDJ. So maybe there will be one to ppc too...

I don't know about video editing for PPC (maybe there r some) , but I think You don't need such a program, you can
edit it by using PC (with many video editing programs) and export the file..

Just a quick note to say we have released a new version of trakAxmobile for VGA devices.
Here is quick list of the improvements we have made.
1) We have improved the search function, allowing you to search your content by day/month/year. You can also highlight a number of days/months or years. This will allow you find the media on your device much quicker.
2) We have also improved the editing. We now decompress the file when you click on the edit button allowing you to access time positions in the file quicker and easier. When editing audio you can just highlight the area you wish to cut on the waveform with your stylus.
3) We now allow you to crop photos and you can add a ken burns effect to photos allowing you to Pan and Zoom into particular areas of the photo.
4) We have added a whole range of new transitions.
5) In the mixing screen, you can now control the tempo of the media by switching the slider function from volume to tempo. The slider now allows to slow down or speed up the clip. This is cool if you want a video clip to play in slow motion or wish to speed it up. The same applies to audio, you can speed it up or slow it down by adjusting the slider.
6) We now also allow you add themes and effects to videos or photos. You can also change the color of the text and add background colors to your credits.

Been using trakAx for a while now - awesome app!!!
Just be patient when its rendering your clips as it can take a while - its got a lot of processing to do.
Output is only 640x480 though I think

Geotagging

Hi all
I want to use my Touch HD as a GPS logger when im on vacation and taking photos.
I want it to log my destination and then when i come home i want to be able to put these geocodes in the photos so i can remember exactly where every photo was shot.
Can anyone help me how to do it?

Not sure if this is what your after I downloaded HD Tweak which in the camera setting you can activate GPS camera then your photos will have that info embedded I tried this and uploaded them to Panoramio and it worked well.
Sorry dont have HD Tweak Cab but its easy to find through search.

By the way if you select your SD card as the save destination in camera settings it is usually saved in My Documents/My POI

I am taking pictures with my digital camera and then i want to syncronise my pictures (taken with my digital camera) with the destination from the GPS in my phone.

GPS Utilities does the trick
I'm using Efficasoft's GPS Utilities (http://www.efficasoft.com/gpsutilities/index_wm_sp.html) to log my track which works great.
Also, if you're in the UK and have OS Landranger maps on CD/DVD they come with a Pocket PC mapping software from Memory Map (http://www.memory-map.co.uk/pda_mobile.htm) which also logs your tracks (and shows them on a map, too).

You can use GPSCycleComputer to log your track with .gpx format,
which is free.

I use both on my biketrips.
- GPS Photo (needs a change in the registry). GPS data is saved to the EXIF info of the JPG file. Can be used with e.g. flickr.com

[Q] Where To Upload Photosphere?

This may sound like a dumb question, but what site (other than Google Maps) supports photosphere?
I want to be able to upload my photosphere pics to share with friends, but what online photo sharing site supports it or what would I need to be able to do share it?
Is it even possible yet?

Google+ can view photospheres, i remember seeing a collection of demo photospheres up there when the announced it. But i doubt your friends actually use google+

I started making a website for uploading photospheres.
If there really is an need for this I could buy a server to bring it online after some modifications.

I'd be willing to host this server, we would need a domain though ($10/yr). Let me know if you have any updates on this. Did you snatch the code from G+ or 4.2 to view photospheres?

I like the HTML5-viewer, too! But there are many browser didn't support this viewer (Android, Mac, older IEs...). I like a build-in fallback for these browsers.

What do you think about the young community?

1) There is an html5 compatibility-lib for some IE's as far as I know
2) as fallback you could use flash(btw I can't use flash on my kubuntu with hybrid-graphics because cpu is at 100% then)
3) I made some usage-improvements to the viewer: https://github.com/M1cha/photosphere
I would rewrite the viewer for jQuery but I don't think this would improve compatibility because "three.js" still uses the native functions.
BTW: how did you write the page? I used Zend-Framework because there already exists everything(image-tools etc) and it follows MVC.

The compatibility-lib for IE's aren't working for this project :/

So... did anything every happen with this?
I'd really like to be able to share my photospheres with people not in my network, and I'd like to use a non-google relate service to do that.
Does anyone have any suggestions here?
