2. extract to SD card
3. push charger and chargemon file to system/bin
4. set permissions

X O X
O O O

5. power off then charge
go here for a new update (now flashable so that nothing could go wrong)

First you'll need a stock ROM with working offline charging
Restore that stock ROM and get the file chargemon from system/bin and place it on your SD card
Factory reset then flash the ROM of choice (aokp for example)
Place the chargemon file to aokp's system/bin and set permission
=profit
Give your feedback if it works for you or not
Coz it did for me
EDIT
you can try this one, its the chargemon and charger file from my stock rom, not sure if it will work for you extract then push to system/bin then set permissions then your good to go

Yes. Since I didn't want to restore to stock, I used the given files. It works.
Didnt work here (CM10.1). Do not know what I did wrong or if I did anything wrong, but it doesnt bother me
Need to charge my battery only once every 2-3 days so
not work in my phone
i use stock rom .254
No luck for me (I'm in stock ROM FW 2.254 with doomlord rooted method)
i dont think it works for stock rom, only aosp based,
tried on aokp and recaf both working good

1. when you were in stock rom (after rooting and installing cwm) your offline charging was working and a custom rom (aokp, carbon etc) broke offline charging
thax
work on my cm10.2
don't work with stock rom root via doomlord method

Or you could try flashing back to .257 then root it using Doomlord's method, update via OTA ( should back-up and unroot 1st using voodoo OTA rootkeeper ) and presto, say goodbye to offline charging bug
I tried this method on my phone and works 100%

Not working for me on existence rom ver 1.1.5.
hi!
confirm this fix works on CM 10.2, probably cause u pulled the chargemon from CM, so the fix doesnt work in rom other than cm-based..
and btw, for those who tries to fix offline charging, you can try the solution here. i tried this method with stock rom and it solved the offline charging problem.
imho, the offline charging problem seems to occur when downgrading kernel, as on DoomLoRD's rooting steps. just my thought though, no research is done

This is for those of you who are looking for a quick, easy way to revert to stock, or prefer to update from an older rom without losing your data.
Thanks to Jcase we have a new Rom with some significant fixes for this already awesome phone. I used his RUU to update my phone, did a system dump, deodexed it, and zipped it up for easy install. I take no credit for these files, just the simple task of compiling it in this format.
I have tested this on my phone and it works fine for me, I was able to upgrade from the stock rooted rom straight after following the permaroot instructions, and I didn't lose any data. I make no promises this this will work, or that it won't brick your phone.
First, if you're upgrading from a previous rom, you need to flash the Radio using the RUU from Adrynalyn's post:
http://www.multiupload.com/2VDSQ6SBAZ
Just copy the file to the root of your sdcard, reboot into the bootloader and flash like any other RUU. This will not wipe /data, but may cause you to lose stored text messages.
Next download the Rom from here:
http://www.androiddoes.net/~sonofskywalker3/Thunderbolt/Rom/Stock_Deodexed_4-18_Leak.zip
This is a Clockwork update.zip, so just use Rom Manager or reboot to recovery to flash it. This will not wipe /data, but will remove any /system modifications (removed/frozen bloat, stock apps)
And if you'd prefer a faster download, hop over to Androiddoes.net and use the direct download links.
Please let me know if you have any issues with this.
Thank you so much for this. I was looking for a way to update my rooted-stock without doing my setup all over again.
Really appreciate it...
No problem, just be aware that this will reinstall your /system partition, so if you've removed or frozen any system apps (preinstalled bloat, demos, etc.) they will come back.
I am safe to assume this has root pre installed, correct?

Anything you have added to the /system partition will be deleted, but anything on /data (market downloads and most update.zip) will be fine. Any themes will be overwritten. This will leave s-off.

Did you use a custom kernel before? I read someone with the same problem and they reflashed their kernel and it fixed it.
Yeah, some people are reporting wifi issues until reflashing a kernel, there is not one built into this rom so it won't overwrite whatever you already have.
sonofskywalker3
any news on a v2??
this one still says the version is 1.12.605.6... was this built off of one of the earliest RUU releases where the OP had removed the version info?
i believe that is the reason. i hope lol
yes this is the newest update but it will still show the original release version numbers as this was to protect the leakers. Its the newest leak as of 4-18
the links seem to lead to the radio? where can i find the rom .zip? i would love to try this! thank you!
nvrm i was thinking it was radio buts it a rom file just same name*!
***yeah tried it and didnt work..
The Rom link in the thread definitely isn't the Rom. It's only 25mb. If you use the androiddoes site it has the right link.

The radio checksum is on adrynalyne's site. The link to the rom in this post is not the rom, but if you click on where I think it says high speed download or something like that it takes you to another site. The ROM on that one is right and works fine.
Edit: (And if you'd prefer a faster download, hop over to Androiddoes.net and use the direct download links.) Androiddoes.net has the right file.

OK I downloaded the first file, and installed though the bootloader. I downloaded the second file, but when I try installing it aborts. Am I the only one that this is happening to?
I modified the stock SystemUI.apk for UCKH3 to remove the Flight Mode toggle and replace it with Sound toggle. This works with unthemed stock UCKH3 rom. I have added a straight zipped copy of the modified SystemUI.apk, a CWM version, and the original stock SystemUI, in case you need to revert back. These are all deodexed and zipaligned.
I had to wipe data/cache to see the changes so its possible you may have to do the same, or a simple restart may suffice.
Use at your own risk and remember to backup if necessary.
Thanks to elfie who created UCKF1 version which is what I used to remake the 2.3.4 version.

Steveo, I had the same thing happen, along with disappearing panel, when I replaced the apk. A quick restart should fix the problem. Only other thing I could suggest is to make sure you are on UCKH3.
I haven't gotten to test the CWM that I made yet, have been to busy working on this and AOSP lock screen, so if the cwm version is giving you fits try replacing the apk manually and restart.
Thanks for the mod.
KH3 is getting better and better. Its stable to be a daily driver. With CWM kernel I was able to get number battery. Now the sound toggle. All I need now is an AOSP lockscreen and I will be a happy camper.

Steveo, I'm not sure why its not working for you. I just loaded the cwm kernel for kh3 and tried both the modded and orig cwm zip files to make sure there was nothing screwy there. They both installed and ran fine, no FCs. The only other thing I could say to try off the top of my head is to reboot in to cwm and clear Dalvik cache under advanced, reload the modded systemui.apk and restart. Hopefully that'll fix it for you. If you still have problems let me know.
Ill try it again later tonight and let you know what I get. I bet I need to clear the d.c.

if you downloaded the update: rename file to update.zip, put in root of your device, boot into recovery mode and install through it.

because OTA has a script that reinstalls stock recovery every boot.
The black screen is because the ics recovery for 9023 does not turn backlight on, a bright light should show it up.
To stop the recovery reinstall you need to rename /ect/recovery-from-boot.p and /system/install-recovery.sh

Hi, you must be root, and clockmod recovery must be install, i advice version 6.0.1.
Make a backup of corrent rom, just in case
Copy froyofusion zip file to sdcard, power off, click menu+call(green button)+power on, after reboot in recovery, choose install zip file, again a few minutes and then reboot.
froyo as internet acess, and you can acess the google market, never try to install the programs you said but i have install a lot others with no problem.

I did try to install it, the file downloaded and phone rebooted... then Prince's recovery screen loaded up, forgot I rooted the phone the other day using his excellent "Lenovo K3 Note Manager" tool
I might unroot my phone another day and try to install it again. The only thing bugging me about the marshmallow update is a problem I'm having with bluetooth streaming, songs aren't resuming when I disconnect/reconnect they restart. I doubt this update will fix it anyway, from what I've read it might have to wait until 6.0.1 is released..
