sorry if this is a dumb question, but i can't figure out how to UN-install Nexus Toolkit 7 v.5.0 from my computer. I only see the icon on my deskop and the Google folder in my programs folder but nothing shows up for it in my Control Panel. I tried posting on the program thread but because I don't have enough posts it's not letting me reply on the help thread in the developers forum. I'm getting a new computer so I want to remove this program from the old laptop before I give it to someone else. thanks in advance.

I use WLM 10.6.0053.1000 and somehow my emoticon screen going weird like in the screenshot... I reinstalled, redownloaded from live site but seems like the emoticon won't show up for unknown reason.
I tried to check if there is any missing files but all files are OK.
Registry check also OK.
I'm using WM6.1 official v1.77 i-Mate 9502.
Please help me how to restore those emoticons....

Seems like the files are missing. Where did you install it, on the device, flashdisk or storagecard? I'd browse for the files first and see if I could find them.

Yesterday I reinstalled the WLM (downloaded from live site http://mobile.microsoft.com/live/en-us/mobile/default.mspx).
For installation, it didn't give any option, it's all automated and installed in the device (precisely in the Windows folder).
But FYI, I checked the installation using SKTools and Pocket Mechanic, the installation is OK..
No files missing and registry are intact. Maybe other files (the system files) are missing? or some registry keys are missing?

And I think, it might be something from registry's missing (maybe something in HKEY_Classes_Root)....
If I do HardReset, all is solved, but it's pain for me to reinstall all apps and do re-setting all things inside... >,<
Sorry I need the 10.6.0053.1000 cab before I can help you. It`s not on the windows side. Please upload it here. This was the first cab that you install or was in the rom and I must test it. No cab - Sorry no help.
Wait, I must search the cab file first. Because I already overwrite it with new one.
And the old one that came with my ROM is v10.6.0034.0800.
The v10.6.0053.1000 I downloaded it from Microsoft's site also. And I will try to recover that installation file from my harddisk.
I've searched and searched for ways to install this program, but all I can come up with is to sync the folder to my storage card. I can do this just fine, but I can't run the setup in the phone. The setup file opens into Opera. Could someone please help?
and I do already have the .NET Compact Framework 3.5 successfully installed.
It sounds like you're extracting the cab file instead of installing it, and then opening _setup.xml (which opens with Opera by default). Just download the 3.3 cab install version from here, put it on your device one way or another (without extracting it), and open it (from the device) with File Explorer Mobile or Total Commander for Windows Mobile.

Your question was actually "how do I install a cab file". This did not require a new thread. It has been asked a million times and is part of mobile hacking 101. I really wish people would do a little reading before posting.
Thanks ****. I spent about 4 hours hunting down how to install that file....no where I went to told me exactly how to do it. And they're not all the same. Sometimes you have to unzip them on the computer and sometimes they go straight on the phone. I'm TRULY sorry I wasn't born with a mobile device in my hand. Please grace me with more of your bountiful intellect. I could totally use it.

I just Install ACTIVESYNC and i see that i don't need it - how can i remove it form the phone? (i did uninstall for the pc)
i didn't find the option in the menus, and the software open's outomaticlly when i use the phone.

you cannot uninstall activesync from your hd2. it's an integral part of the os.

Why would you want to remove it? Granted, moving files around is simply a case of kicking in to Disk Drive mode but (in my experience) if you're gonna use apps such as SPB, you're gonna need Activesync on both device and PC.

Don't know how to uninstall it, but if you open Activesync/Menu/Options, you can delete the sync sources, which should stop it from trying to sync automatically.
Hello... I searched the forum and also google and still no help with my problem.
Ok, so im trying to install an WidgetLocker theme into the correct folder in "DATA".
When I connect my Nexus 4 to my laptop and go to the files, i do not see DATA folder anywhere, I even tried creating another one and wasn't allowed.
Do anyone know anything im doing wrong? Help is very appreciated.
Also, forgive me if this been discussed once before. I couldn't find any threads on forums about this situation im having.

Firstly, apologies if this topic has been answered before, I wasn't able to find much on here. Anyway, I decided that I wanted to have desaturated versions of icons that I have on the phone and was able to extract them onto my PC and change them. The problem was getting them back on the phone, I tried a few methods that didn't seem to work and in the end had to resort to using APK Icon Editor to replace and pack the file without issue. Is there not a location folder on the phone that I can send icons to that will be picked up by launchers or is the method I used the only way?

You have to decompile it and re compile it sometimes it need to be signed with the same signature use tickle my android or if you want do it with this app I found in the play store
