Because I only ever make roms for myself (And share it in case anyone else wants to use it), and this is the latest firmware for my phone.

Yes, I am doing it the exact same way I have done 100's of times before..
And there ware about half a dozen files. I will do it again and this time just take the 4 biggest...
OK, this is embarrassing. I cannot make this FTF correctly. It is always around 500MB and wont flash. It gives the error
Code:
ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MINOR";ERR_CODE="0017";ERR_DYNAMIC=" 0x80060011 ";
I am doing it the exact same way I have done hundreds if not thousands of times before on the Xperia T, Neo and X10. I am using the same laptop as before (Lenovo think pad running win 7). the only thing that is different is that I am using the latest flashtool (0.9.11.0)
I get no errors when flashtool makes the FTF and I get no errors when PCCmpanion uses the files to "repair" my phone.
Here is what I am doing.
1) Running pccompanion and choosing software repair
2) Letting it complete
3) Running flashtool and clicking on tools/seus decrypt/
4) Browsing to where the files are downloaded in the blobs folder
5) Clicking on all the files that it finds to convert them, moving to them to the right pane and clicking convert
6) Letting it complete and then using all those files in the bundle creation.
Like I say, flashtool gives no errors.
If I am missing something basic, please let me know and you have my permission to laugh at me and add to a faceplam thread.
Its really bugging me now though.
Thanks
I got the Z1 today on Vodafone and received a notification of an update to 534 about 30mins ago

All the same as I do except I delete the blobs folder first before updating and unplug the device whilst PCCompanion is downloading the updates. I'm using the same version of flashtool as you with the Z1 device package.

Android programs are compiled into*.dex(Dalvik Executable) files, which are in turn zipped into a single*.apk*file on the device..dex*files can be created by automatically translating compiled applications written in the Java programming language.
In one sentence:
If you wanna use custom themes and mods you have to deodex your ROM.

may be it has something to do with androidmanifest xml file.
probably work after changing minsdkversion from 19 to 16 as all 4.3 devices have minsdkversion='"16" in thier apks
I am trying to change but couldnt parse that xml.
Port it for 4.1 pls

@sourabhp You change the sdk version not in androidmanifest.xml
Do this
Decompile the apk, then open the decompiled folder and then open apktool-yml with notepad ++ and then change the min sdk version to 16.
I cant do this cause I dont have 4.3 or 4.4 framework so getting errors while recompiling.
Please if someone is on 4.4+ do this.

[Unmaintained] [Mega collection] [BETA] Stock system files of Sony devices

Welcome to the mega collection of stock system files from Sony devices.
1st post: Introduction

3rd post: Currently uploaded builds (deodexed)
4th post: Download links and status of the clouds (offline/online/maintained)
5th post: To-Do list
6th post: Thread updates
A while ago I did a thread with the Z3 system files. Today I realized that it was (maybe) helpful for a lot people, me included. Now I’ve got the idea to create a thread for more Sony devices here in cross-development section. I see some advantages of a thread like this:
You did a mistake and need a system file? Take a look in to the mega collection.
You need some files for theming? Take a look in to the mega collection.
You want to port something to older Sony devices? Take a look in to the mega collection.
You want to port something to another OEM device and you don’t want to spend a lot of time with downloading and searching? Take a look in to the mega collection.
This could save a lot of time and trouble. Because I can’t have the overview for all Sony devices (updates), sometimes you will need to request an upload of the files and then I’m going to try to do it asap.
You should see this thread as a beta, because like you could think all these files need space. MEGA gives us 50GB for free and I own the 100GB package of Drive.
If no one wants to donate for the cloud services, I will stop uploading because I can't pay for them as only person.
I'll do a request to some cloud-services for free space for this thread. If they give us some, there are no donations needed.
Cloud costs
GD -> 10GB -> free
GD -> 100GB -> 1.99 dollar
GD -> 1TB -> 9.99 dollar / month

you have to install in system and you can access battery care via activity launcher.
If you want to access battery care via settings, Settings.apk needs modding.

you have to install in system and you can access battery care via activity launcher.
If you want to access battery care via settings, Settings.apk needs modding.

It should be in battery section on XZ/X Compact.
In somc_stamina_settings.xml of Settings.apk there is:
Code:
<com.sonymobile.settings.stamina.StaminaPreference android:key="battery_care" settings:staminaPrefTitle="@string/battery_list_battery_care_title" settings:staminaPrefSummary="@string/battery_list_battery_care_desc" settings:staminaPrefIcon="@drawable/battery_battery_care_icn" />
