Screen quality vs nexus 5 - Oppo Find 5

I currently have the find 5 and I love the screen quality.
I am considering switching to a nexus 5 but I am cautious that the screen will not be as good as the find.
Can anybody shed some light on this?
I understand the screen specs are very similar.
Thanks

Nexus has 4 more ppi
But the screen is not a true 5", neither 4.95": you have soft keys.

Considering a Note 2 - Currently using the S3 LTE

Has anyone come from a S3 LTE?
The size puts me off, but I had a play around with one yesterday and absolutely loved it.
Please convince me! lol
Please dont buy it because once you go big you can't go back. I love mine and everything else feels so small.

Came from a S3 LTE...Loved the S3...LOVE the Note 2 more...lol. The speed, battery life, screen, all much better! The size at first was a little big, but after using it a bit when I pick up my S3 it seems so small. The note 2 is well worth the upgrade IMOP.
Having used S3 and now note 2 I would say n2 is a far better phone bar couple issues. Screen resolution and camera are better on s3 if you can live with that then go for it however I would recommend waiting for HTC's Butterfly DLX before you makeup your mind. If I had a choice and both butterfly and note 2 where available I would definitely go for butterfly, purely due to far superior design and specs

My now sold Galaxy S3 LTE had the best Amoled screen (in terms of color reproduction) I've ever seen. Absolutely no color cast! My Note 2 has the worst LCD in terms of color reproduction, it is completely yellow...
I see no difference in the camera whatsoever. I believe they are the same hardware, camera wise. As far as the screen, when I set my S3 beside my N2...N2 wins. The pentile of the S3 is just not as good...IMOP.

multi tasking (split screen), lets me watch videos and surf the net. Forget that popup video player. It blocks the screen and is more of an annoyance. split screen video watching and web surfing is definitely the real way to do it.
bigger screen. You get used to the size. The S3 starts feeling uncomfortably small in about a week. You want to be using the Note 2 when making that realization.
S Pen...AirView on webpages totally rocks.
S Note...ability to have a device to write on as soon as it is out of your pocket is a big deal.
Battery life...is as good as you can get for a smartphone.
You do have to get used to the size a little. It is uncomfortable in my jeans when walking up stairs and sitting, but it is a small price to pay for an amazing device.

I also came from the LTE S3. Everything about this phone is better (screen, fluidity, speed, hardware, etc). Go for it if the size doesn't bother you. I love it.
I usually change phones every couple of months, but this may be the only phone I've ever owned that may hold me over until the next version releases.
Also came from the att s3 to the att note 2. You can't compare them. The note 2 smashes the s3 in every way. The screen is so much brighter. The loud speaker is at least twice as good. It's way faster. Everything on this phone is perfect except s note should open faster. I rate it 9.8/10

Actually the screen brightness is identical but it is much faster than a 1gb S3.
Loudspeaker is the best but the most important thing is that the Note 2 will last 8 hours of screen time with no problems!! That is just amazing!
Yeah easily 8 hours. Idk, the note 2 feels much brighter to me for sure.

Wouldn't be a fair test as my One X has had a replacement screen and it isn't the genuine one.

I found the screen on my One XL to be significantly better than the N4, also the overall experience with CM on the OXL is better than the N4, I sold my N4 after two days and am happily back to using the OXL.

Surprisingly I have to agree. The camera (specifically) on the nexus 4 vs. CM 10 one x (with jb camera) is comparable. While there is a slight nod given to the nexus 4 in terms of low light performance, the nod is really negligible and I'd be willing to bet if I was using stock HOX camera, then HOX camera would undoubtedly be the winner in terms of color reproduction.
The screen on max brightness is bright on the nexus 4, but the clarity, detail, and viewing angles on the HOX do surpass the Nexus 4 easily. I was the guy that was thinking the Nexus 4 would be my next, but after using it, I am left feeling a bit cold and unimpressed. Android 4.2 is a huge leap in terms of functionality of the Android ecosystem, but talking about current hardware, the Nexus 4 doesn't offer too much to compare. Which is a shame, offering a quad core processor, 2 gig of RAM, and everything in terms of operation is negligible to current Android hardware.
Makes one think...

i have to agree, the screen on the one x is better. If htc one x supported t-mobile, i would probably sell nexus 4, htc one x is pretty fast as it is, but nexus 4 is faster. (switching from straight talk at&t to tmobile)

i agree on the screen, it is washed out and not as nice to look at as the htc, the viewing angles are not nearly as good. Colors are not bright and do not pop out. The camera is lackluster, i compared both side by side. everything else is for the most part better. If only i can find a buyer for my 16 gig white htc one x..
Maybe I will switch back when the N4 is in stock, readily available and CM10(.1) is officially available and stable, but for now I don't have a need for double the RAM and CPU especially at a $200 premium.
loads better phone than the one x

From SGN2 to S4?

I am thinking about trading my SGN2 for a S4, but I do not know if I can go back to a smaller screen. I am starting to do certain things were my SGN2 is a bit to big for, but the S4 would be perfect.
Anyone done such a move, and did you miss the screen size?

I did exactly that. The size of the Note 2 is nice but sometimes it could get annoying. After switching to the S4 I am very happy. Seems like the perfect size and the screen is amazing. The first day or so was weird but after that you quickly adjust to the screen size and it seems normal.

Came from the gn2 myself and can tell you the s4's screen size is perfect for me. Also, not only is the screen on the s4 higher resolution but the colors are much much better (less saturated). Once you get used to the s4 screen the gn2 will look subpar.
One things for sure though. You **will** miss the battery life of the note 2 if you use your phone a lot through out the day ( got 5.5-6hrs screen time on the gn2 barely get 4-4.25 with the s4).

[Q] Suggest me which one to buy? S5 vs M8 vs Z2

i am really confused which one to buy. as i am from note 3, it is normal for me to go for s5. but i got some negative comment about s5. phone bezel is wide, front camera is 2mp when others are going for 5mp front(like oppo find 7a and htc one m8). but still i have a weak spot for samsung. so please suggest me honestly. i will see this post everday. In Shaa Allah this monday i will buy anyone based upon your suggestion.
s5 white is 2039rm where s5 black is 2080rm
htc one m8 is 2199 rm
z2 is 2499rm(why so expensive la?)
i previously used many set. if you need to do anything with that here is a short list of them for past 2 years(s2, s3, s4, note 2, note 3, xperia z, htc one x, nokia lumia 920, lenevo a880, lenevo s930, iphone 4s, 5 etc, cant remember all).

The phone has heating problem. When i download from play store, it become so hot in the camera area. Other function cool. When i look from the 170 degree, suddenly there is a greenish color shift. I think may be factory default screen protector. Also color rendering is not accurate. As i used iphone and lenevo. I saw almost same color rendering on those two ips display. Which i think is accurate. But in s5 the color is totally different of that thing. I think may be cause of adapt display. The display a bit yellowish. I think cause of the factory defailt screen protector.

With Cinema display setting it's quite good. Much better than Standard if you like accuracy rather than oversaturation.
Mine G900F has a heating problem when used actively for updates and downloads probably is something related to the CPU usage. But in normal day to day usage is with good working temperatures. However I would check other phones as well and if I owned a Note 3 I wouldn`t change it as the Note 3 is amazing phone i even think it`s better then the S5 or very close.
Hmmm..ecery device has its cons. S5 is no difference. But we can live with that.

Which AMOLED Panel Being Used?

The comparison is obviously against the newest Samsung series of devices. The Nexus 6 has a horrid AMOLED screen; my wife's Galaxy S5 has a better screen in terms of vibrancy and overall colors.
I read somewhere that the Super AMOLED of Samsung is actually constructed differently that other manufacturers? Is that true?
Unsure on the exact panel , all i've heard from the videos is " gorgeous "and "bright " though

Check android authority video comparison of 6p vs old nexus 6. To me the amoled on the 6p seemed too yellowish and very similar to the nexus 6 screen. That makes me think amoled being used this year is again lower quality. On the s6 and note 5, the amoled whites are really white...while on the 6p video the whites seemed yellowish like nexus 6. That's a red flag.

I'm holding off on the 6P because I might make the move over to the Edge 6+ or Note 5. I'm at the point where build quality and screen mean more to me than anything else.
The dev is getting "boring", since there isn't really much left to improve when it comes to stock android.

I wish Samsung put out a Google version (or whatever it was called), like they did with the Galaxy S4. If they did that for the Note 5 or any of the S6's, I'd be happy.

Lol they don't give a single **** I think. Nexus has never been about premium hardware. Google guys are smart and they probably notice how blind their fanboys are. No matter what Google sells, or at what price, fanboys will buy it. That's what they are doing now. They sold the nexus 6 for 700+ last year, and in less than 11 months, that phone dropped to $300. That's 68% loss in less than 1 year. Speaks a lot of quality of hardware.

None of the YouTube reviews said nothing bad, and im sure its a different display than the Nexus 6. I have the Samsung S6 now and the screen is amazing. I assure you the screen on the 6p will be just fine. I'm getting rid of the S6 is because the user experience suck balls thanks to AT&T. Even after the 5.1.1 update. I still think my Nexus 5 "rip" ran a lot smoother then the S6. just my personal option.
