Can't revert to stock firmware. MJ6 to MJ3 - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have upgraded from stock MJ3 to MJ6 BTU using Odin
Due to some instability I tried to revert and flash my MJ3 stock. It failed 3 times. I resigned and flashed MJ6 again and that went well.
Why can't I downgrade to MJ3??

Am in the same boat here ... Plus lost root recovery Knox counter tripped
And nothing seems to be able to downgrade back to mj3 or get root status again
Or get gapps installed

[Q] SM-N900 International

Hi I recently root my note 3 SM-N900 with CF-AutoRoot, so when I go to Download Mode this is the information that it show me:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N900
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
So I can´t see the Knox counter 0x1,
so I think that if it don´t show the information of Knox maybe it is not void the warranty, but I´m not sure.
now here are my questions
1. How to unroot and back to Official Stock Firmware?
2. If I unroot my note 3 can I use again Knox or not?
thanks for the help, and sorry for my bad english.
Have a nice day.
Flash the official firmware via Odin and it will unroot it. But I'm pretty sure if you used cf autoroot... Your knox will be 0x1

Ok I will try.
one more thing how can I update via OTA, when I try it say that it cant update because I have a Custome Firmware.
Man, you have the old Exynos boot loader which hasn't any knox flag, if you're gonna flash something make sure it's not the newest firmware (MJ7) via Odin or you'll update your boot loader which has a bit counter similar to the knox one, just custom Roms I'd recommend you.

Yea you'll be ok with this. It's the old bootloader

Whatever you do ."DO NOT UPDATE " . Continue using the same rom .once you update via OTA , YOU will never be able to downgrade to lower rom and worst a warranty bit will be activated which will make you loose warranty for life.irreversible

Taking MJE Update when on Rooted MJ7

So I have a question: as the title states, I'm currently running stock but rooted MJ7 and would like to update to the newest update. Do I have to Odin back to 100% stock MJ7 and then take the update to MJE or can I just enable root survival in SU and take the OTA as is? Thanks in advance!

You can try survival mode. If it doesn't work you can odin the MJE update and then re-root with Kingo.

Quick question, I haven't updated to MJE because I don't feel like having to re set up my phone. Is Odin back to stock rom then updating to MJE going to cause me to lose all my data again? I know using kingo won't.

What you want to do first is find the MJE Odin flashable STOCK build over in the VZW development section. Flash that which will bring you to current MJE non rooted.
Then google Kingo root to root rather than Root de la Vega(obsolete now for MJE)

You only have to flash the MJE and not any other ones first, just straight MJE flash. But yeah it will wipe everything including your internal SD card, so be sure to back that up first

Could I flash the mja bootloader alone?

Is the mja Knox-free?
If it's yes....could I flash it alone without flashing whole stock mja .tar file?
I have mf9 bootloader at the moment.

It has KNOX. And I am not sure what flashing it alone would get you anyway.

If it has knox I will not flash it now.
By flashing it I want to test it with kikat 4.4.2 of android.

How do I remove Custom System Status and Root and Stay on Knox 0x0?

As the title says I would like to revert back to Official Status, remove root and stay on Knox 0x0
I have 4.3 version, Knox 0x0, and I have reset to factory defaults and I do not have root now.
As knox is 0×0 it means you are not rooted.Just flash official firmware will solve your status.flash it wia odin.

No. False. Knox flag DOES NOT mean you're not rooted if it's 0x0.
The only times this is true is if root using a method that rewrites your recovery, such as CF-Auto-Root.
The only things that trip knox are unsigned recoveries (ANY custom recovery) and custom kernels (ANY custom kernel).

Ohh..tnx for correcting me.!But I think the problem is status of device. As knox is 0×0 there is no problem.knox is not triggered. Flashing a stock firmware changes the status custom to official. Please correct me if I am understanding wrong!

Correct. Flashing a full stock firmware AFTER a factory reset and wipe should return to official status, officially.

Lp rom for Exynos

Hi guys,
I have a N910C arriving in 2 days and I'm looking for the most stable lollipop rom for it.
I found one from Poland on sammobile, but I believe it has carrier bloatware.
Also, the steps would be root, custom recovery, and flash. Am I correct?
Thanks
Yes, install that 5.0.1 from Poland and that's all...
Just Download Odin app and flash even without root.

Nope, it's official so It doesn't trip Knox counter. Also it doesn't have any kind of bloatware so flash it and enjoy your new phone!
