This maybe a stupid question but I will ask anyways.
I am from Cyprus and I have a rooted i9505.
As you already know firmware 4.3 has been rolled out. My friend owns the same i9505 bought from another company here. We are on the same carrier. He has got the update on Kies to upgrade on 4.3 but I still didnt get it yet. Is there a reason for it?
Is there a program to check from where my phone gets the upgrade from?
I dont know if you could understand me.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Go into settings>more>about
Click "About" and scroll down until you see "Baseband",
then see if yours and your friend's phone have the same
baseband. (Most likely it's not the same.)
Or perhaps your phone is "rooted".
If it's rooted it will NOT get the update.

okay thanks but i think you can get the update from KIES if you are rooted if am not mistaken!

Hi all,
I know that many of you have the same problem and I found that you have the thread about it.
But it's too long for me to follow up. So anybody to tell me what exactly I should do for this problem? When I press volume down + power to go to SimUnlock process, it has a error: MCCMNC, CID failed. On the phone, It can be searched the network.
Please help me, sorry for my bad english.

return the cellphone and get a new one.
Btw, did you tried to unlock it after OTA, or you have not did the OTA upgrade yet?

I did it with OTA not upgrade yet.
You know, the thread about it is too long and sometime I read but cannot understand, it's hard for me to follow up to find the solution. So I want s.o help me clearly and exactly what should I do for this problem, and maybe, it helps others too.

As I said, return the phone and get a new one. At this moment there is no fix for unlocked phone that is not connecting to any network.
Personally I've tried to find the answer for wether OTA solves the issu BEFORE unlock, since from reports I've read that once unlocked and not working OTA does not helps.
Also iwas trying (unsuccessfully) find what OTA really upgrades.

sorry but I have to laugh, dude you need to read the entire post to understand the severity of the issue.
return your fone cause its done no service no fix.
I tried to contact with Tmo but there's no reply from them until now. Further more, many people got this problem too and no solution for this.

So long as your note isn't a HK variant you can flash fine. - have a read around maybe find some UAE note users, make sure you know the risks etc then decide if you wanna flash or not.

I just ordered a G2 and I was wondering, if it comes with an android version higher than 4.2.2, maybe kitkat 4.4.2, can I still root, install recoveries and roms on it???
This is very important to me, if I can't do that it would be just a freaking huge loss.

Depends on what model number where you purchased it from and and also what country there's a good chance it will have 4.4.2 but no way to know until you get it

Think of it like this most new devices will come with the lasted firmware.. All you need for g2 is model and think of latest firmware and start researching

Hi, I've been reading a lot of posts and finally got courage to ask if there's a way to do a international unlock on Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 running stock NG2, i already tried to downgrade to MF9 but couldn't pass in odin.
Any thoughts?

I would really like to know this as well I got caught up in the MF9 boot loop. Fixed that then tried to go MJA MDC MF9 and broke thing horribly. Just trying to get my Sprint Samsung S4 SPH-L720 over to T-mobile or at&t. Someone that could point us in the right direction with getting NG2 unlocked Internationally then domestically

There are other similar threads to search and read on.
Once we got the 4.3 MJA update. There was when out bootloader got locked by knox security from Samsung. We can't downgrade to any firmware by Odin but we can downgrade by ROMs just not the bootloader. You either need to use the firmware you are using to restore or update to a newer firmware.
Side comment. I still don't know why would you buy a specific phone for a carrier and use it for another carrier. Doesn't make sense.

It's all about pennies, here in Mexico it's almost 1/3 of retail price if you bring a smartphone from USA and unlock it

First of all thanks for the thread you provided, it helped me to get my phone unlocked and working on Telcel Mexico Carrier, but i can't make 3g service work, i think i screwed some ServiceMode Settings, is there any way to reset them to default and start over?

You might want to Odin back to stock ng2 and do a factory reset. Also have you change your apns? That could be why you aren't getting 3g.

I just did that and several apps (Internet, S Voice, S Wave) keep crashing after restart) also the ServiceMode Settings remain unchanged. Please help me here, I'm starting to panic!
I did a soft brick a while back on the Note 3 n9005 and i sended for service and they fixed it. The imei was null/null so they putted another one. The phone is official status right now and i wanted to know if im gonna have problems if i update the phone to 5.0 via OTA. If anyone could help me.. The service told me they dont know it might have problem or it might not.. They werent much clear. If any developer can help me on this would be much apreciated. Thanks hoping on getting a clear answer soon

I tryed to downgrade it and it lost imei. But i fixed it its okay now. But i dont know whats gonna happen if i update to 5.0 lolipop cause im on kitkat. Im afraid if i might loose the imei again
