Buying a Blackstone

blackstone is my next choice for a phone after having a polaris for a while now.
the problem is that i live in israel and we don't have it here.
I'd like to know if anyone knows where i could buy it but not in a package deal but only the device itself. I'll order it somehow..

Ya I remember the Raphael, that was put back about 5 or 6 times. ended up 4 weeks later than originaly expected

Are HTC doing a big announcement for this phone or are they going to keep it on the DL so that the G1 gets all the publicity and be called an Iphone challenger which it isn't the HD I would consider is.

It HAS been officially released. It was officially released by HTC a couple weeks ago and officially released by O2 in Germany today or yesterday or something. Now, if you mean for sale, it is not for sale yet but will be probably within the week.

who are we looking at for a service provider here in the states?

Probably will start with Sprint as they are the primary carrier of HTC flagship phones. After 30 days or so it will prolly be picked up by AT&T and T-Mobile, then Verizon and Altel.

You have it backwards. Released means for sale and what you said means they officially announced it.

Hey guys... good to see the thread up and running for this great new HTC offering. I will certainly be trading in the Diamond, mainly because battery life and camera but also love the bigger screen and I don´t use the D Pad on the Diamond so better to have more screen space!!
Back to the topic....Do you they´ll release it in Asia first like the Diamond? I remember you could buy the Diamond on Ebay from HK about 4 weeks before the official Europe release.

I think Germany has already gotten first dibs on it. o2 is supposed to be the first carrier to get it.

Let's hope the prices keep in this zone. It will be far less than what I paid for the Kaiser I'm currently using. And it's less than the Touch Pro (€ 589,05)

I wouldn't go for it if I were you. They're based in Ft Lauderdale (US), the HD doesn't come out in the US and the device hasn't been officially released yet. So if you want to kiss your money goodbye...

If the mode of payment is western union, it is almost definitely a scam. Don't fall for it.

sure fake. I had contact on www.alibaba.com with several similar sellers. They said it's in Stock...sent from the UK. But Western Union payment. So for sure it's fake. They even said it has TV-out and they could provide me with the cabel etc.
As in one post was said a person from HTC confirmed no TV-out, I was more sure it's a fake.

oh haha i have contacted this electromatic inc place about a month ago, since they were the first to claim to have HD in stock when the product was just annouced. i smelled fake as soon as he wanted Western Union. but interestingly, his name was not "alfonso" back then, it was "Giorgio".
I wanted to play around with him, so i asked if i can meet him in person with a suit case of cash so he can get his money faster and i can get my phone faster (since he claimed he has them in stock).
His response: "our store location is quite difficult to find, it will take you a long time to find us. It will only add to your frustration. The easiest and fastest way is still to use Western Union, so you don't have to worry about a thing and save you lots of gas in this harsh economic time."

it is simply AMAZING...i don't know what to say, it is my third HTC device but the quality looks to be far improved...

The price suddenly raised to 889.- CHF about 594€. At the moment the prices fluctuate very much so its best to check every time the actual price.
I this as soon as the other big online shop in switzerland will have the HD on stock the price of digitec will fall again.
If you want to check the most online shops in switzerland at once go to www.toppreise.ch an search for the "HTC Touch HD" in the upper left corner of the website. Perhaps you find a shop with reasonable price which ships to you country.

Sorry to hear that in-stock Swiss price has risen again. I expect German prices to fall back to around 570€ quickly, once o2 Germany starts selling it at that price.

I ordered my HD from digitec on the 6th of November, it's already in the mail and I'll receive it on Monday the 10th. I got my English version for 869., including vat and free shipping. Can't wait!

I bought mine also at digitec.ch for 827.- CHF. Was very lucky!
They shipped my unit today too, but unfortunately the post offices in switzerland wont deliver packages on saturday so I think I will have to wait until monday til I have my HD in my hands.
Really cant wait for it!

Did you get that price with an English language model?
It is going to be hard to wait all weekend to unbox that baby. My Trinity is already looking at me with sad eyes
I've started collecting cabs for the HD already. There are a few from the Diamond forum that sound interesting, like the landscape typing app gyrator 2 etc.

I took the german version. This morning the english version was also at a price of 827.- CHF. Now all versions raised in their price

I also started sollecting some apps to improve the HD experience. Hope they will work like on the diamond or touch pro.

i ordered mine for 907 CHF, in september. On monday, i contacted them since the list price had fallen to 888 and asking about the delivery time. Despite it is not their usual policy, they refunded me of the difference and they shipped on the same day.
Notice that the change in price is simple and mathematical consequence of the EUR/CHF exchange rate: 1.52....1.42...1.48...
...sorry to insist for those that don't have it yet....It is an amazing device, i cannot believe it.
I could read the pdf manual on the screen one page at a time...and i can keep the smallest font without loosing readibility. I tried to take a picture of it with my Nikon camera, but i am not able to render it.
the LCD is incredibly sharp, the small pixel size has a strange effect on my brain. I almost prefer to read small at high resolution - without moving the eyes - than reading on a large screen with less resolution...
...and for my trinity friends: my trinity now looks cheap plastic, this one looks solid metallic and has a fantastic feeling....the screen looks glass....looking for a problem somewhere - but i cannot find it yet!!!
...I stop here, I don't know what to say in order to describe my satisfaction!!!!

Where to buy NEW 2010 X2 Silver in USA ?

Okay, anybody know (for sure not guess work please) WHERE I could buy a New Xperia X2i SILVER that was made 10W28 or newer?
All the X2 s floating around in the U.S., even from reputable sellers, are made LAST year 2009 week 48 (!), that is November!!! The newest I found and bought was 10W03 (third week in January 2010) and I saw several, all of them have VERY dark LCDs. Meaning not bright white but rather a brownish tone to it.
So I am looking to find at least 1. So far not luck and I almost believe SE did not produce any after January 2010. What is your phones manufacture date? But SILVER only please. The black ones are still being produced, I know!

don't beleive what you see on a site for more tech specs www.sonyericsson.com

Yeah, that is what I mean, most all suppliers in the U.S.A. have just 09W48, which is 2009 week 48.... OLD !!!
The latest one I found so far is 10W03, 2010 week 3, but all those have VERY dark screens. They have all kind of BROWNISH Color Tone.
So that is why I posted this, it would be VERY interesting WHERE to get a newer production phone and if those LCDs are dark too.
About this capacitve screen, no way. Same goes for Bluetooth version, most say its 2.1 I think even SE says it. BUT IT IS ONLY 2.0 !!! Suckers!

I use it as a second phone, it's ok. it lives up to my expectations. my primary phone is an HTC HD2 that is a phone for heavy use...

This is Week 5 in 2010 ! Some say this phone has been discontinued and I never found any newer than 10W05 in the U.S. of A.

I almost got a silver but decided on the black - looks cool sexy. You sure you want a silver X2..well the shell looks gorgeous, but Michael - it simply sucks in the inside. I've become a software engineer instead of a salesperson since getting X2 last month...it sucks..trust me...it sucks..I am neck deep buried with lots of work to do and at the same time - most of the time; fiddling sw patches on my X2 instead of doing real business..might as well use a Moleskin notebook as a pda..the ranting goes on...

Xperia Z: Releasedate in Germany 21th February

just read it in the news: sony officially announced the releasedate for the xperia z in germany to be the 21th of february. but at this date, only in berlin.
on the 22nd, it'll be available in stores everywhere in germany.
yeaahhh...finally.....looking forward....i'm so exited... :laugh::good:

I ordered it through a danish company that get their phones from Germany ( I live in Norway).
According to them I'm supposed to recieve it 7-9 days from now.
I could have pre ordered it from Norway but they have expected dates of 7th of march, and so far none have offered the purple one.
Although I have no confirmation for this I have a strong feeling the dk26 will be bundled.
Norwegian hands on review shows this, and I've read that people in France, Germany and others also will get this.

Definitely uppie :good:! it's really an awesome device! Love it even more every minute. but maybe i'm the wrong benchmark, because i'm coming from a good old htc hd2 (leo).
i ordered the black one, 'cause i think it's the most elegant and timeless color. the white one looks nice, too, but the black screen on the front...
the purple one is a nice one also, but i'm afraid after a few month i'll be fed up by this color.
i don't regret purchasing this phone. it's just brilliant in my opinion.
