Buy Trinity but where?

Hi to all, I just want to share with you my odisey to know more about these device, to know when and where to buy this device.
I from Spain, I visit many web page and try to contac serious sellers and all told me we have no idea when and where. We have some bad news about the end of november or earlier december.
Could you please tell me where I can buy a white device???

i've contacted expansys UK n they quoted me 595 euros including shipping to asia, u can try to contact them maybe? but i suggest u wait til it launches in your country as purchasing via the internet u have to take risk

I bouth several devices in Expansys, but always in Spain. By the way, the UK Expansys and Spain Expansys, hope are almost the same, so hope I can buy it at the end of these month.

u should be able to get it end of the month in europe, the devices should be released in asia by the end of the year if everything goes smoothly, i believe HTC should have released it in europe by then

I sent several mails to Expansys UK and they told me:

The Portuguese Web pages that I saw, offer the device in English.
So in moment, no Italian or other language. Hope the Trinity will sale in hole Europe at the end of next week or in two weeks. And of course, you can buy it in your native language.

German discounter are selling it at 505 to 515 euros, available shortly, - anybody that wants to pay more - enjoy it!

If they ship to Spain you will have to pay UK VAT. Both the UK and Spain are part of the European Union.

You might indeed get a good deal, since for export the 16% German VAT is deducted, but of course you pay shipping and Singapore VAT. During my Asian travels for the last two years I noticed that prices in Germany are much better than in Asia, wonder why - these boys toys are made in your backyard

I made a cancellaton, why? simple, I ordered last saturday and today I don't have the device. I made a call phone to Portugal and they told me the device is in Portugal yet. So, tomorrow I'll make a trip and at the end of the week end and international trip for long term.

Where to buy the Trinity in the UK
Hi Guys just to let you know that I popped into Inkino in Central London and they have the whole HTC range. Picked up the Trinity. Good thing is that I was able to try it out and get a feel for the unit. Something that the web experience lacks! What also amazed me was that the also keep the Dell x51v and the Fujitsu Siemens n560 and T830. Thought that I would would just mention this as I thought that these units were only available for purchase on the web. Inkino are at www.inkino.co.uk and their store address is 243 Tottenham Court Road, London, W1T 7QS. What also is useful is that they have a Russian speaker (useful for me!) Their other staff include fluent Chinese and Spanish speakers. I have become a fan of shopping in a shop again! Hope this is useful for anyone struggling to find the Trinity as I know some online sellers had run out of stock.

Where to purchase x7501 in Australia

Hi guys, i know this is not a normal question in these forums but i don't know where else to look.
apart from ebay, is there any other way an australian can get their hands on an htc x7501?
any help is appreciated.

After extensive searching, the only place I found was ebay. Also, just making sure that you know the X7501 does not have a front camera for video calls. Only the X7500 does.

that would be because the X7501 is only for the North American Market, the X7500 is for the rest of the world, but obviously it depends on orders from the retailers and networks as to whether the distributors will bother to import it.
i would say Ebay all the way, or from a reputable worldwide online retailer such as expansys or someone similar.

WHy do you want a 7501 rather than a 7500? Did you realise the 7501 is the same but just missing the front camera?

Unfortunately, when I asked the same question of HTC on Oct 24, they replied "
"There is no plans for a release of HTC Advantage X7500/X7501 at this current stage. The shift is due for release last quarter of this year, hopefully this will suite your requirements."
The Shift doesn't suit my requirements so I ordered a 7501 from Mobileplanet - it arrived yesterday!

I asked HTC where I could buy Dopod U1000 back in March this year. They replied that they will not be sellin this device in Australia and New Zealand.
They said the Telco in Australia wanted to charge them an arm and leg for 'testing fee', which HTC refused to pay.
So I got mine from Singapore, and found out that no testing is needed. It just worked.
I don't see SHIFT doing well at all in Australia. It's too small to be used as a Vista machine but too big to be carried around. It's too battery poor, and too slow. I do see Advantage/Athena doing very well in Australia. It is almost a perfect device.

also fixerboy, how long did it take to be sent to you from the day you ordered it? and how much was the combined price with shipping in AUD? was there any customs fees?

Approx $A1200 inc shipping and a 4 in 1 cable - Ordered approx 10 days ago - said backlog was until Nov 22 but the day before yesterday, the tracker said it was backlogged for 9 days - then it showed up yesterday so approx 12 days from order to arrival.

excellent news. i might order it today. i had a look through the checkout process, do you remember which shipping option you chose? in other words, which ones apply to australia? is "rest of the world - 3 - 4 days" the only option available to australians?

it is simply AMAZING...i don't know what to say, it is my third HTC device but the quality looks to be far improved...

Will recieve mine too from digitec.ch. Hope it arrives tomorrow but it could be that I have to wait an entire weekend

The price suddenly raised to 889.- CHF about 594€. At the moment the prices fluctuate very much so its best to check every time the actual price.
I this as soon as the other big online shop in switzerland will have the HD on stock the price of digitec will fall again.
If you want to check the most online shops in switzerland at once go to www.toppreise.ch an search for the "HTC Touch HD" in the upper left corner of the website. Perhaps you find a shop with reasonable price which ships to you country.

Sorry to hear that in-stock Swiss price has risen again. I expect German prices to fall back to around 570€ quickly, once o2 Germany starts selling it at that price.

I ordered my HD from digitec on the 6th of November, it's already in the mail and I'll receive it on Monday the 10th. I got my English version for 869., including vat and free shipping. Can't wait!

I bought mine also at digitec.ch for 827.- CHF. Was very lucky!
They shipped my unit today too, but unfortunately the post offices in switzerland wont deliver packages on saturday so I think I will have to wait until monday til I have my HD in my hands.
Really cant wait for it!

Did you get that price with an English language model?
It is going to be hard to wait all weekend to unbox that baby. My Trinity is already looking at me with sad eyes
I've started collecting cabs for the HD already. There are a few from the Diamond forum that sound interesting, like the landscape typing app gyrator 2 etc.

I took the german version. This morning the english version was also at a price of 827.- CHF. Now all versions raised in their price
Yeah...will be the hardest weekend of all, at least I will be a little distracted while learning for some tests an university.

I also started sollecting some apps to improve the HD experience. Hope they will work like on the diamond or touch pro.

i ordered mine for 907 CHF, in september. On monday, i contacted them since the list price had fallen to 888 and asking about the delivery time. Despite it is not their usual policy, they refunded me of the difference and they shipped on the same day.
Notice that the change in price is simple and mathematical consequence of the EUR/CHF exchange rate: 1.52....1.42...1.48...
...sorry to insist for those that don't have it yet....It is an amazing device, i cannot believe it.
I could read the pdf manual on the screen one page at a time...and i can keep the smallest font without loosing readibility. I tried to take a picture of it with my Nikon camera, but i am not able to render it.
the LCD is incredibly sharp, the small pixel size has a strange effect on my brain. I almost prefer to read small at high resolution - without moving the eyes - than reading on a large screen with less resolution...
...and for my trinity friends: my trinity now looks cheap plastic, this one looks solid metallic and has a fantastic feeling....the screen looks glass....looking for a problem somewhere - but i cannot find it yet!!!
...I stop here, I don't know what to say in order to describe my satisfaction!!!!

Indian ROM version?

Heard that the HD2 went on sale yesterday in India. Can someone post the ROM version and other particulars such as Radio?
Also, are the camera and sms fixes already applied?

The ROM version is 1.48 and i have applied the camera and SMS hotfixes... but the SMS thingy is still giving me problems !!

TATA Docomo started selling HD2 on 15th. They say that HD2 will be sold exclusively by them for 7 days. However I could see that the phone is already listed in Univercell.

I ordered through online on 15th Dec in Univercell site. They are saying that they are yet to get the stock and not sure when they will get it. On the other hand in chennai many other stores have HD2 ready to be sold. So call up univercell and enquire about the availability before ordering.

By the way i have ordered from a hk website...but its way too costly than in india. It cost my Rs40,000 plus Rs5,000 custom. And in india the rate is expected to be around Rs36,000. So sad. If i've waited just few more days.

Iam from India but working in uae.
Its costing around Rs.42,000 here in local shops.
I bought from clove.co.uk for around Rs.39,000 in early batch before one month.

Since I buy for my personal purpose, the customs duty was very less.
It came AED10, which is around Rs.130.
And yes. It was through DHL only and the price I have given is including it.

Tata docomo had a lock in period on the HTC HD2 from December 15th to 21st...they have horrible customer service, who would want to buy a phone from them, specially something so expensive!
from tomorrow onwards, the unlocked versions should turning up, have confirmed with a dealer here in Chennai...
only thing is i am wondering if i can push him to lower the price a bit!

Release date for Australia?

does anyone have any ideas when the note will be released in Australia? can't wait to upgrade my Streak for it. always loved Samsung phones for their Amoled screens.

EBay is pretty expensive now. Why not try expansys which had the lowest price now for €455 plus delivery (about AU$ 750). It's really good time to buy while AU dollar is high.

If you buy a EU version, then you will still have the ability to select English as your language on the initial setup screen. Android support multiple languages.
You also can apply updates as all EU zone use the same thing.

I have been to most of the Europe sites like Germany, Netherlands etc....can't understand the writings on them...so don't know how to get rid off the VAT...plus they don't post to AUS??

Hi mate, it's from a German site which doesn't ship to Australia (I tried). The current cheapest one I find is expansys.com which is 480 ponds including postage (AUD730 based on last night exchange rate. AUD is worth less today after the interest cut).

I pre-ordered from them on 12th Oct which price is 4 ponds less than the current one. But, my order still hasn't been processed yet. I called them yesterday and they told me should be post yesterday but they didn't.
For the EU verion ordered from expansys, you can remove the UK convertor from your order detail screen which save you 0.99 ponds. And choose DHL instead FedEx for delivery.
