Hi everyone,
Is ur z1 becoming slow or long time to boot or load files
I have a solution just follow it step by step
1.Install latest seeder.apk from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987032
Use v2.0 for best performance
Root needed
Set to moderate.
tick all blocks
Reboot once in recovery and wipe dalvic
2.get the doom kernal from here it will obviously boost z1
Linkhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448613
Just read what is in the kernal thread don't blame me for damaged device.
Boot in clockwork mod and fix permissions after installation.
you're done ur phone will be faster with any rom.
Any Qs just reply don't quote
Cheers!!!!:beer::beer::beer:

Why does this need DooMKerneL?
And if it does need DooMKerneL then it requites an unlocked bootloader not just a rooted device
I left to mention that as lot of commotion is goin on with 4.4 I am busy developing so sorry for that
As per I know as kerbsl changes performance changes and I have actually seen the effect of this kernal
If u think it is an advertising for doom kernal ur wrong!

I used Dooms work for a long time on my XS and I still do and only I can say - It's awesome kernel with great features and possibilities...but...
For now, I wouldn't advise unlocking bootloader - if someone fixed camera problem after bootloader unlocking then forget this.
But I would definitely recommend Dooms kernel once we fix BL issues...
What is great to see is how our section (Z1) getting bigger and bigger day after day and we are discovering more things every day...
So, thanks to all who are trying to help and to work on this great device

Is anyone really experiencing performance issues with his/ her Z1? Mine is still as snappy as when I bought it, and that's with a lot of Apps installed.
I would not recommend messing with the Kernel for now (although I really like Dooms work, I have been using his Kernel on my Xperia S too).
Same here, my Z1 is as smooth as butter

seeder was long aknowledged as placebo for post 4.0 devices... how did it end up here ?
I've only had the Z1 for a few days and haven't noticed any slow down either. My device is still fairly stock.

Bit harsh...you need to have an unlocked bootloader. Then download the CM7 from the development section and run the script. It's that simple!
No sorry that wasn't what I wanted to type

That thread is dead (at least for now). What's the point in linking it?
I've read good things about this OS. Sony has recently released a ROM for the Xperia E!
In my opinion the atrix development should be focused in building an ICS kernel :/
i hope that will work someday.

So here it is, what do we want on or phones???
when do we want it??? now of course, but I just cant... LOL
My first thought TWRP, and the CM statusbar...
Please when posting here try to refer screenshots and/or zip files.
Many fixes and features can be flashed thru CWM or TWRP over deodexed ROMS, JFYI CM is a "bundle" of user-created features...
Once we deodex we can add any GB-compatible feature, so come on let´s hear it from rock bottom!!! (Rock Bottom by the offspring!!)
And btw, let's try and keep this organized. I´ll be going now but tonight Im gonna try and make the other threads (FAQ,DEV and others for our device!)
Peace!
I don't believe twrp is necessary. It'd be cool yes. But clockwork mod is our best hope with the 2nd init booting.

And honestly I just want fully functional and fully stable Cyanogen 9 or up. But. I lack the resources to do so. And on top of that I got in a skating accident on my way to the grocery store and broke my arm. So I'd rather do as little arm movement as possible.

Yeah, same here. If I could get at least a stable CM9, then I'd be happy. I just want the video camera to work, and for it to stop freezing and rebooting every so often. The rebooting is starting to annoy the hell out of me.

That's the point mate... get all the ics/jb eye candy, while conserving the stock sbf functionality, speed and stability...
I just need some help with the deodexing crap, I really do rock using any graphics software, so once we can extract and modify everything we´ll be into something.
For those of you who might not want to eithe deodex, flasha deodexed rom or flash a custom rom but want to somewhat theme or mod their phones, fire up google and look for ninjamorph...
ninjamorph if I remember well can perform theming operations directly on the phone, and it can deodex, modify and redex apks...
It IS a little old I think. so 2010´s...
Cheers!

"Eye candy" is none of my concerns. I actually need 4.0 or up with the same APIs as my Nexus 7. Whether it be apps, frameworks, or other things. I love this phone. Hate the software. Running the CM7 from rongsang still because I need stability to use it as a phone and tool. You cannot build a city with broken tools.

The purpose of this thread is to help people to solve their problems using the new MIUI ROM. By using this thread, we will keep the other thread clean and let developers work calmly, and more efectively.
So let's go, I will try to stay here, to see if I can help people solving their MIUI related problems.
Thank u everybody!!!
The pin bug
Any helper could verify that this bug is solved with:
Code:
adb shell
cd data/system
rm password.key
I understand that Franco's kernel was adapted to work with MIUI. Would you mind telling me how this was done? I would like to use these Franco kernel builds: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2307463 as well as (possibly) bricked kernel, and trinity kernel.
Thank you for your time,

So they naturally have support for MIUI? Or do you still have to edit the boot.img to get them to work? If so, do you know of a guide that I could use?

Any kernel that is modded to work with MIUI needs to have a link to the source code posted with all changes properly documented,
I've been messing with it for a bit now and here are some glaring issues I see off the bat that I haven't solved yet.
1) Gallery issues. Not only are there two of them, but neither of them is reading my old pictures.
2) The popular browser bug. FCs every time you open it, even if you follow a link.
3) Does not properly mount as storage when connected via USB.
Other than that the battery life seems to be alright, not a whole lot that isn't working that they already don't know about either.
EDIT: So just to give an update.
1) I'm able to remove the extra gallery via root uninstall. And by manually initiating the media scanner you can get your pictures to reappear. There is an app called rescan media in the market that will do this for you.
2) Other browsers from the market work fine. So not a huge deal to work around while they fix it.
3) Still can't solve the mounting problem. I couldn't mess with it too much because it wasnt my PC.

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the world of android.I have been using various android devices untill now and recently got this beast.
Thus i want to let you all know that i am in process to develop a custom stock rom unlike the Galaxies and Senses...
Key features i am incorporating as of now are
1) Fully deodexed stock rom with extended kernel full root cwm capability.
2) Bloatwares removed with addons from xperia Z
3)Perfectly matched launcher with best performance and battery.
4)Based upon user community request.additional functionality to be added.
I would definately require everyone's support and donation in order to make this a master piece.
I am opening up this thread provided xda moderators give a heads up for a general discussion on what requirements we have.
Thank you and i will be constantly updating you on the status of the rom.
Also look forward for some hosting space.
Thank you

Excellent!
Hi all,
just got my SP last week, and very satisfied with it, now i knew what the meaning of project butter smooth, i'm from X10 section (pretty old phone and need to work harder to make it run faster, lol) .
So. ... i'm in on this!!!
Sofar there are some weakness on this phone that i can see, such as :
- Status Bar, i will port Serajr's one on this phone.
- Reboot options on the power menu, and another wellknown MOD(s) need to provide.
- Sound quality through earphone (cuz my X10 with some mod on sound lib(s) can to beat SP stock very easy, according to my test on my ears for sure ).
- General background supossed to be black, i think.
- Bloatware remover and some usefull tweaks, such as ram management, i think we should have more than 500 MB on anytime instead of 430+ MB, etc etc.
- Porting stuff for some well known apps from another devices, etc.
BUT, this gonna 'kill' my monthly internet quota since the rom's size little TOO BIG to upload from here, so lets see it later.
EDIT :
I think we better wait for JB 4.2.2, perhaps SONY gonna release it soon, just suggestion.
Regards
