Theres a thread for reviews - I liked the review but the battery section of the review didn't make a lot of sense nor does it give me an idea of how much screen time you managed. How many hours? Also how many hours with Stamina mode too.
Decent
Good review, but you should really go more in depth on how the phone perform moving around the ui, gaming, apps etc.
tyyy
thanks alot dude
Hey Guys,
for our Device(s), the Xperia ZL (its also the same on the Xperia Z) we have for many months now some sound problems with nearly every custom rom based on cm. While playing music we are getting a very annoying brzzzzz sound every few seconds. There is a fix for this problem (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49801427&postcount=262), but this fix never did make it to a rom expect (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2690755&page=19). Now my question: could you pls implement this fix into your build? Its really annoying because for now, there is simply no rom we can use if we want to play music expect stock. Another solution is to increase the minimum cpu speed, but this cause a higher battery drain.
Thanks.

Anyone can submit this to gerrit for testing. We can't magically be aware of every hack that no one bothered to submit to our code review system.

bug reports belong on jira.omnirom.org
I just bought z1c few days ago n i would like to share my opinion bout this device. 1 thing im so impressed, this metal frame, this design just wow.
I have already installed .157 wit 4k recording mod, seems well
Is there any rom which is worth to install, n any mods? For now im proudly owner of z1c, i have also xperia t which isnt that awesome( got old u know , but is pretty solid).
The best thing in this phone is camera i love it n ofc size (5inch phones are so huge for me ).
Is there any way to do this phone more multitasking device? I mean smth like in Sammy's machines. I didnt test LTE yet, anyone did? how speed we can achive?
Thanks :good::good:
ohh just forgot this notification led is also awesome haha
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/development/rom-d550314-4-0-157latest-t2957307
I think currently only this 157 rom is good.
And yes, z1c metal frame and LED is even more pretty than z3c.
@TheEndHK thanks:good:

Dont expect camera improvements.
Dont expect camera improvements. [2]
Dont expect camera improvements. [3]
Why?
BTW I think it already takes good pictures.
Maybe not as good as a newer Galaxy or Iphone but still very good. (But yeah it could be better with those hardware specs but maybe they are using their bad sample sensors for their own xperia's and hide behind "software problems" and they couldn't do that anymore when they would allow RAW?)
jajajaja, what ?

Approx month
We’re starting our Android 5.1, Lollipop upgrade from today for Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet. Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra are next up, starting over the coming weeks – followed shortly thereafter by Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3, then the original Xperia Z Series… with Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Aqua after that.

It be in a few weeks but I certainly hope not end of August if it's according to this schedule.
Ey, is everyone getting the sudden battery drop issue? You guys sure it ain't hardware related? Cuz if it is, I be selling my phone next month if this 5.1 update don't fix it. Gotta go back to removable battery like the G4 or Note 4, really gonna miss my Z1C though.

I'm not having any sudden battery drop issue, probably is battery problem. You could easily change battery if you want to give a chance to new battery.

I had the sudden battery drop issue. Tried many things. Finally replaced the battery, been fine since then (more than a month).

I also think that at the end of August. Week 3-4.
hope that there will be double tap wake up, or is it not going to happen?
And smart backlight, screen rotation, call handling
I found this on apkmirror:
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/sony-m.../battery-care-1-2-3-2-4-android-apk-download/
It can be downloaded and installed on z5c as a normal apk?
It will work?
Who can tell really. Probably it won't do much good, but try the app for yourself. It's an official Sony app and they only make great apps so go ahead ?
