I thought the phone was doomed after a failed flash and no pit info, tried a few options and finally after using this file the phone was back to life and running normally again! The other pit file here kind of worked but the phone was running epically slow.

Modem flash via odin question...

I want to flash my T-mo S4 9505 to the newest radio. I am on M919UVUAMDL baseband right now have TWRT 2.6 and Rooted. I downloaded the latest "I9505VJUBMG3_modems.tar" modem file and would like to know if I need to choose "PDA" or "Phone" in Odin 3.07 window when flashing. When i chose PDA option I received the error below. Do I need to choose "Phone" option instead? Some website warn that it will brick my phone if i choose the Phone option.

Tried flashing the modem file as a Phone, got the same message as above.
Try to download the file again. Maybe it can be corruped. If you unziped, don´t do it when you try again. Flash the file as you get with odin 3.04. Hope to help you.

The issue is , since modem is included in all odin flashable firmwares etc, there is no way to do it. I tried mobile odin, same issue, stucked at "clearing" , tried flash pit file along with stock firmware, tried flash back to original firmware that come with phone, same issue odin stucked at modem.bin. Tried untick "auto-reset" in odin, manual restart, enter download mode , flash again, does not work. Tried switching usb port, switch cable, nothing works.

I cannot get a network connection as my sim card is no longer found, even replaced reader but no better. Have tried flashing modem radio firmware but no better, what can I do to get the sim card working again.
The baseband is not available as it is linked to the sim card.
thanks
couldn't flash modem but got it all backworking with my recovery. I still can't GPS. that's my only issue. can't flash back to stock so I guess GPS just won't work for me. Any chance we can get a fix for this with a cm12 rom release to make things easier? This sucks, but I do appreciate all the work that goes into it. It's my fault I can't remember directions. lol

add the ROM in ODIN
and also click PIT and select file (download from below URL) and tick Re-Partition.
Now Flash
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50614669&postcount=77
Try using Odin 3.07, unchecked everything except auto reboot and f.reset time. Don't check partition if you don't have a pit file.
Did you download the firmware from sammobile.com?
Does the phone still boot?

Hi, tried to flash N9005XXSGBQA3 - GALAXY Note3 SM-N9005 NZC New Zealand through Odin, and got a fail (size) error on a rooted International N9005. You suggest needing a PIT file to flash alongside this one.
Noob question I suspect, but are these generic or firmware specific?
Any help gratefully received

Flash Twrp recovery via odin
In twrp Go to wipe
Wipe "system+data+cache+dalvic cache+internal storage you have to wipe 3 times or more to make sure all partations are wiped cleaned.
Then you have to download repair firmware for your specific model.
Repair firmware comes with 5 files "BL+AP+CP+CSC+PIT"
you have to extract and upload all files in odin with PIT file.
Then go to odin options and check on "nand eraseall" and "re partition"
Now boot your device into odin download mode
Now hit start and wait until finish
Then dont let phone reboot you have to boot into stock recovery and do wipe cache & factory reset then reboot.
If this method fails then there is no way to fix it unless changing logic board because your internal storage is dying thats why it shows "mmc_write fail".
You can download repair firmware from www.tsar3000.com

Keep trying if it doesn't work then as i told you you have to replace logic board because your internal memory is dead.

Try with another firmware version, or use PIT file too
Where do I get a PIT file and another Firmware?

Try before with pit file. Use frija to download the firmware and pit. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-frija-samsung-firmware-downloader-checker.3910594/
Then, when you open that program, go in the 3 dots, and go to settings and there you should find an option to download pit file too. I don't remember how it's called, unfortunately. But you should find that. At the end, you will get the firmware splitted likely in 3-4 pieces with pit.
Found a newer one. Now it works. Thanks for the hint to search for a new one.
