Hi all,
I was previously an iPhone user and there's this app on cydia called SwipeShiftCarat.
Basically it lets you move the cursor by sliding your finger across anywhere on the screen.
And in my opinion is one of the best jailbreak apps out there. I was wondering if there is a similar app for android?

Not that I know of
Not to my knowledge. But Swiftkey does have arrow keys.
The Samsung keyboard has a setting for moving the cursor by sliding on the keyboard. You can't use it with the built in swipe function a la Swipe keyboard

Hello Everyone,
I have a Nexus 7 and I'm using a VisionTek Candybar Bluetooth keyboard with it. I'm trying to figure out how to use spelling suggestions and autocorrect while using a hardware keyboard. A.I. Keyboard does it to a certain degree like right now when I'm using Tapatalk but it's inconsistent on what programs and when it works. Any suggestions?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Some of the more popular keyboards on the market haber options to enable a custom action to select the highlighted suggestion. I know for sure ThumbKeyboard can and even go as far as using one of the space bars in split mode to do this and the other as the space bar.
Hope this helps.

Hello, today I discovered that I can kind of "draw" in the sms application. Unfortunately i'm a too young member to post an image. I'm running Paranoid Android 3.15.
Any ideas of what is this annoying thing ?
Thank you.
Swype? You use it to type words rather than draw.

I'm not using swype, the "draw" is in the sms app, not the keyboard, I'm not that dumb.
For example, when I scroll the conversation, a yellow line following my finger appears.
It's a feature in setting

Is the S-Pen or any other functionality lost when a 3rd party launcher is used? If some functionality is lost, what is last? Can you increase the number of rows or columns for icons on home pages with Touchwiz?

My keyboard is too smart for it's own good, I was trying to say "Nova" launcher, not "November". Does Touchwiz allow you to increase the number of icon tows and columns on the home screen?

Touchwiz columns and rows
The hack you are showing me is the only way to have more columns and rows with Touchwiz?
I understand that custom launchers still allow the s-pen functions to operate.
However, will a custom rom say a cm10.1 based rom allow this as well as allow the syncing between the note and the smart watch?
If not, how could I over come this, I want a cm10.1 which allows me to use all the s=pen functions and smart watch functions properly..
Appreciate any help.

You can't. S pen features are built into the tw framework.

In that case is there any two based rom or launcher that allows custom themes?

It's the month after October:laugh::laugh:
maybe what the OP meant is Nova Launcher
I have tested out Nova Launcher for a few days, found one little thing, the write with your pen function on the samsung keyboard makes nova and or the keyboard crash.

Hi,
theres an update for Note 3 keyboard.
go to Google Play and Search for "Samsung Keyboard Note 3" and click "Update"
You need to restart your phone afterwards. Try and report here after.

Like instead of the capacitive and home hardware buttom. A line at the lower part of the screen is used to show on screen buttons
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk 4
I've always used the line that you add to your build.prop file and it adds it by itself but it doesn't work in the note 3, I tried it and it went into an infinite systemui force close, so I guess it's a no go.
I'm also interested in them as I use the s pen too much and I hate pressing the home button with it.

there's a simpler way
just install this from Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fatedevgroup.softkeyenabler&hl=en
SoftKey Enabler
Darn it has to be rooted

I'm using Swipe Home Button. It uses gestures for various actions. It's not perfect, but it keeps my pen off the home button. No root required. I have it paired with a "screen off" app, so I can avoid using the power button, too.

There's also Virtual Button Bar, which is more of a pop-up menu of icons (can be set to always be visible). It's not being developed anymore, but it still works, and served its purpose while I was using it.

Is there a workaround or mod so the dang keyboard text field doesn't cover the whole screen in landscape? I'd like to be able see the message I'm responding to while typing.

I changed standard keyboard app, I love hacker's keyboard. But you can change keyboard height in keyboard's config.

It has nothing to do with keyboard height. The keyboard doesn't cover the screen. The box that text goes into does. Xposed only works on rooted devices.
