Do you guys see a grid with dotted lines if you look at your screen under a light? it's faint but its visible if you rotate and get right angles. Is it suppose to be there?
o and anyone else notice only the right side of the speaker works on the bottom?

Yes it is, I have it and its supposed to be like that, even the Nexus 4 has it and I'm betting the Nexus 5 will have it too.

Thinking digitizer. (That stuff that detects your touches).
And yes, because only one side is actually the speaker.

I only notice the dotted lines under the sun. The left might be the mic like on the iPhone.

With a bit of further looking, you will actually see two grids, one of big squares, and one of small dots.
As others have said. It's the digitizer. You can see thoose lines on most phones (some more than others.)
The speaker thing is because there is only a speaker in one of them (sadly no stereo sound.. but meh, the quality sucks compared to my headphones anyway, so I don't care.) The other is the microphone.

It doesn't really bother me because I think it's just the way the screen is but if someone else could confirm that would be great.
When you hold your Nexus 7 in portrait mode and angle it so you're looking down or up on it even the slightest bit, you can see subtle horizontal lines. These lines are only invisible if you're looking at it dead/straight on.
Normal? Looks almost like scanlines. If other people have this I'm just going to assume this is the way the screen is manufactured.
That is probably the digitizer for touch sensing

I don't know about that. It actually looks like the edges of specific pixels. I think I've seen the digitizer lines you're referring to, I've seen lines cut into the glass criss-crossing but you only see them when you shine a light on the screen and the line are in the glass. This is not the case here, these lines are on the pixels of the screen and they're visible without shining a light on the screen.
Can you take a picture? As far as I know digitizer looks like very small dot not line.

I don't have a camera that can capture this I think. It's visible with an eye but a camera will just muddle the details of the pixels.
It's really unmistakeable with the eyes. Look at an app icon with the screen dead in front of you in portrait, then tilt the device either a little down or a little up and the app icon will have something that looks like lines running through it. The whole screen should have lines running through it horizontally. Nobody else has that?
EDIT: I think this is why.

Look at the pixel arrangement, those black gaps are what I think I'm seeing. Of course they look huge and black on a microscopic level but with my eye on a macroscopic level they look like subtle lines that are only visible in certain angles. So if this is true, everyone should be seeing these lines when they tilt the screens up and down? Either that or my screen is jacked up.

I see the same lines at particular angles. Is this normal or not?
lol. is my screen has 2 colors ? " lower half is greenish/blue while top is pink? lol
is this normal ?
when i view gray wallpaper for example. or a white background during reading whatever, i noticed my screen has 2 colors. the lower is half is greenish while the top is pinkish
however, my screen doesnt have umm. any blotches " is this the correct word ? " you know.. when you put a black wallpaper on a dark room.. you dont see those deep black spots... i have none... i have them on my vita though lol.
oh yeah and no grid matrix or weird lines visible either.
just the screen kinda has 2 colors. or pink smearing on top. not sure ^_^
get a replacement there is a workaround for the pink but green :/

what is the workaround for the pink ?
the green isnt really green. its like... normal i guess. but it look greenish /blueish compared to the top one.
also. i just wanted to know if the pinkish top is a normal thing.
you never see an amoled screen without blotches. and those kill me as i am a very OCD " i mean hey, one of the reasons i bought the damn thing is because of its screen. so no blotches is a very wow lucky me kinda thing
it was a screen program i don't remember by playing with the settings it made the pink a little green so it was better but since u already have green it would pop up more so i think a replacement would be better

um.. no . lol i guess you are missing my point. what i am trying to say is when i am viewing a solid gray wallpaper for example. the upper corner seems different in color than say.. the second half. like the upper part of the screen is lil darker / pinkish while the lower part is brighter / bluer ?

and i am saying it's the screen's fault anyway you do what you want
I had the same problem, except the pink on mine is on the bottom, and it's not much of a fade, so it is very noticeable. On program apps like gmail, it is annoying. I took it back to my barrier and got a replacement, and the new one is fine.
If you can take it back, take it back. Or it'll bug you for a long while

Hi guys,
have you noticed that the upper part of the screen has warmer colors than the lower ? I've noticed it on the stock grey keyboard while playing a game, the keyboard is brownish on the left part and cold grey on the right. Or is it just me ?
Here's a screenshot so you can see what I'm talking about. You can cover the middle of the screen to see the difference instantly.I had the same with the Z1, so maybe it's a LCD thing ?

Hi Guys,
I have A Gold S7 Edge and I have noticed recently that the front camera of the device is a little off.
The lens is not centered but the main part being misaligned is the position of the camera module itself.
As you can see in the picture, the black rim around the camera module which is supposed to be even is not even, it is more thicker at the bottom and relatively thinner at the top which makes it look like it has an ugly gap at the left side and bottom side.
Am I being OCD about it or is it really defective?
Please tell me it is normal as from the 2-3 devices that I saw in a store the black rim around them were even so I don't know if it should be this way :/
Yep, me too. But to tell you the truth... I've never realized until I saw your post. Not going to lose my mind for it. But, I've attached a picture to let you know you're not alone, hahaha. Cheers!
As long as u can still take clear pictures its not an issue

Since we are at it... While I was looking at my phone I found that my SIM/SD tray is a little bit downwards on the opposite side of the pin-hole. I'll attach a picture. Does anyone have something like this?

I can't notice the black rim in the picture since your phone is black too.
Is the rim even or does it have a gap on either of the sides?
Having said that i case in my scenario since my phone is gold, the gap of the black rim is more evident

To tell the truth I didn't even realized but it's a little bit down and to the left. But it doesn't have any effect as far as I've noticed.

Are you referring to the camera lens or the module as the lens being up or down is pretty common while the whole module being off centered is rare which then creates a black gap, so which one are you referring to?
Hi guys,
On a white screen or the settings menu - does anyone else notice that the bottom part of the display is slightly yellowish compared to the top of the display? Its very subtle. I notice it maybe because I am a little OCD about **** like this but does anyone else notice this subtle difference?
Can someone atleast give me a yes or no?

No, not on mine and haven't noticed others posting about that issue.
Not on mine either. It's all bright white
I just got mine last night and yes, I've also noticed some yellowish tint on the lower half of the screen
