Thanks but where can i learn these commands from, im new to android adb commands
Google twrp guide lg g2. First link. Installation option 2 shows an adb push as the installation. Its essentially adb push "File name" location on phone" then twrp van install the zip. Also there is a side loader app that can work with twrp as well

i think you miss understood me , i am in twrp recovery and i dont have any android installed i want to get access to my files .
In twrp. Do you have a file on your phone or want to put one on it? If you hAve no os and you want to put one on it to flash look below. If you just don't know how to flash click install and its self explanatory.
Now plug your phone into a computer with adb and working g2 drivers. It's the same process. Installing twrp with option 2 to push the file. You should or probably push it to /storage/emulated/0 this is the sd card. From here you can install it with twrp. If you took shortcuts to install root and twrp and don't have adb working there's a search on Google for that as well. There are threads in help section dedicated to this or similar issues that have same solution.

When I saw the port for ICS come out I got really excited and flashed it right away. Then I realized for whatever reason I didnt have SU permissions so I couldn't tether to my computer. I was disappointed but I thought, "no biggie, I'll just restore from my back up." When I flashed my back up the SU app was in my app drawer but I still couldn't tether. As a matter of fact I can't do anything that requires SU but the bootloader still reads unlocked. WTF?
I can't flash a new recovery either. I tried installing from ROM manager, I tried pushing it from my computer but I can't get to the recovery any more. ROM manager says that I have CWM 5.0.2.0 currently installed but I can't get to it at all. Again, WTF?

^clearly the phone is working perfectly fine with the stock ROM from the back up but obviously I want my SU back.
Root your phone and read the development thread versus making blog posts.

Thanks for not answering my questions. The bootloader is unlocked but I don't have root and I don't have access to recovery mode even tho ROM Manager says I have Clockwork Mod 5.0.2.0 currently installed. I cannot access the recovery mode AT ALL. I cannot flash or push a new recovery but it fully boots into Gingerbread w/o any issues. What is wrong with my phone and how do I fix it.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
Try from rom manager to reinstall a previous recovery version.
Sent from my LG-P920 using XDA App
That doesn't work either. It goes through the prompts but it doesn't actually reboot do the installation.
I just tried unrooting and then re - rooting but that didn't work and I think that actually wiped my phone completely. I don't even know where an SD card would get into this thing.

Use adb on your computer and push a clockworkmod recovery.img. And we are trying to help u no need for the sarcasm

Is that the right name of the recovery img? Try renaming it to just recovery and see if that works.
Edit: make sure your phone is in debugging mode. And uninstall then reinstall the drivers on your computer

manually go into recovery with volume down and power flash the su.zip and u should be good to go that wat I did

No suggestions have worked so far. It does not matter what the recovery image name is, whenever I try the flash it Terminal says that it cannot load "***.img" or if I try an install command it says that it cannot find "***.zip" I'm on a snow leopard iMac so I don't need drivers n such.
Let me pose the question like this, what would I do to completely restore the phone to factory condition and try to root it again? Like I said before, the bootloader says that it is unlocked but I do not have any root privileges, could not access the recovery I had before nor install a new recovery after having locked the unlocked the phone's bootloader again.

go to the link above and follow the directions for returning to stock.
find yourself a one-click root method on XDA that includes superuser, busybox, and CWM.
EDIT: Also, double check the md5 sum for the CWM .zip. use
Code:
md5 recovery-aaaaaa.img
in the terminal and make sure the output matches whatever is given on the CWM site. if they dont have one up, ask for it
NS4g one-click root app:
http://www.mediafire.com/?2jx8xtx2602hi23
this will:
unlock the bootloader
install cwm 5.0.2.0
root
No commands, no messing with pushing files manually, etc. This thing has already saved me from major headaches while restoring my phone once and I've only had it for 3 weeks lol

I missed that...my mistake
well I have been having problems on how to do unlock my phone using a Mac, but I was finally able to unlock it and flash TWRP recovery by using mattlgroff's utility 1.20 now the I have installed TWRP recovery, every time I connect my phone to the Mac it asks me superuser permission for AdB shell I grant permission and it says "Adb shell has been granted permission" and it reboots into TWRP recovery. I even denied superuser permission but it still does the same thing. I have USB debugging on.
is this normal? because I need to transfer some files to my phone so I can Flash a Rom through TWRP. I would really appreciate your help. thanks.
here's a picture attached showing what it says as soon as I connect the phone to computer.
after that it just reboots into TWRP.

thanks for being helpful anyways !
Hello,
So i wanted to install Cyanogenmod on my phone, i rooted it and installed CWM on the phone. Then i went to recovery mode and tried to install Cyanogenmod. The install failed and then i did something stupid, i cleared the system files. Now the phone wont boot ofcourse, i can get in download mode but then it is stuck at firmware upgrade. But its stuck at 'firmware upgrade' at 0%. On the bottom it says 'B43' and 'ROOTED'.
The computers says at device manager that it is connected but i cant acces the files.
What can i do to let the phone work again?
Its the D802
Nobody?
Nobody knows how to fix?

My phone wont start again. I wanted Cyanogenmod on it but install failed. Everytime i clicked reboot it went to CWM. Then i tried some things and i deleted /system (stupid). Now there is no data or anything on the phone. If i connect the phone to my pc it shows that it is connected but i cant drop any files in the phone.
I can start download mode but it says updating software for like 2hours and it stays at 0%.
So i can only open recovery mode and download mode. also adb tells me that there is no phone connected when it is.

i have all the correct drivers, before this all happened the connection between pc and mobile were good.
I have sideload but i can't acces it.
Do you have a link to other drivers that can be it?
Ok if u can access sideload may be it can be fixed lg stock drivers don't seem to help pc recognise your phone in sideload mode so install an app called pdanet in pc and while phone is connected to pc in sideload mode open adb in ur pc and u already said adb is not seeing ur phone. So open pdanet and install lg drivers through it and then reboot ur phone back into sideload while it is not connected and then connect back to pc and run adb commands(pdanet in ur pc will notify that u connected ur lg phone at least that's how I fixed mine a month ago

My phone says: sideload started... now send the pachage you want to apply to the new device with "adb sideload <filename>",.,..
My pc says that there is no device connected and if i try to push it tells me that.
So u can use sideload in ur phone I thought u said u can't access sideload anyways install pdanet in ur pc and reconnect phone in sideload mode and then open pdanet and install lg drivers through options and use adb in ur pc then it did for me

Please do make any referances to adb because i dont have a computer at the moment. Im at work and cant install anything on this computer and no i cant ask the I.T. for help...... please help me.....:crying:
Without adb to reflash the recovery and delete the TWRP configuration file and theme that is present on the SD card, I think you're out of luck. To the best of my knowledge those tools are required to fix your problem.

well im depressed now lol, thanks guys i appreciate it:good:
I have searched and searched everywhere and could not find an answer. I even posted my situation in the q&a section and it just got lost in the thread.
Ok so here goes, i was running multirom with stock as my primary, and the L port as secondary. Ran for months no issues ever. I was going to give the phone to my wife so i was gonna wipe the phone and put it back to factory fresh.
I had the phone booted (running secondary L port) and attemted to boot into recovery. The phone rebooted and got stuck at the google logo with the lock at the bottom. So i rebooted phone into bootloader(fastboot) and scrolled to recovery and was met with the same outcome. Then i rebooted once more to fastboot and scrolled to start ans same logo again. Even from a fully powered down device trying to start phone normally i get the same logo.
So i decided to just flash factory images since i was gonna anyways(twice actually)with wugs toolkit. I recieved zero errors both times but you guessed it same result.
I even tried another battery and still same BS. Last night i decided to flash a JB image manually so i could see changes in bootloader ie radio, bootloader ver, recovery etc. Now bear in mind in fastboot it would not reboot bootloader by selecting it so i would have to power off device and then use button combo to get back into fastboot to flash the next file. I continued untill everything was complete followed by rebooting to os and still same [email protected]$$$ng logo. Please someone help.
