Any news on the progress of any aosp roms?
Last I was told was that it was ready to be pushed to github. Just needed pushed and then CM nightlys would start. Not sure if that's still the case or not.

I'd definitely like to see some love for the TMO version of the G2. Seems like most developers have picked up the Verizon or ATT models.

I'll leave this here, Toast who is the Maintainer for TMO, has an updated Device tree, however he hasnt pushed it yet, once he does the nightlies can begin, As for not being able to flash the 802/800 roms, LG decided to make a million different variants, all are based on the S800 chipset, a requirement of any qcom S800 chipset is that a DTB specific for the variant be attached to the kernel (Device Tree Blob) without the correct DTB for the variant in question, the kernel fails to boot. (Try flashing a D802 to 801) guaranteed you end up in Fastboot mode. Thats why no roms are universal, and why stock roms that are able to be crossflashed need the correct boot.img. So without a fixed Device Tree any build of a rom will be borked.

LMAO LG Got Me This Time Guess I Think The G2 Interface Is Really Ugly And I Think They Should Have Use The Same Everything Like Samsung Did With Note 3 You Can Flash Across All Carrier Roms With The Exception Of The 9000 And That's Because Its A Octo-Core So I Guess Im Feeling Some Way About It But I Know The Devs And Working Hard And Doing A Good Job On Development.

That leaks been out for months. The video is new.
two things that make me wonder if this might be faked.. the baseband is the same as android 2.3.6 baseband/radio(see screenshot from my own phone), and the android version says IceCreamSandwich instead of an android buils number. the launcher and the rest of the build.prop can easily be faked.

Might want to check again buddy....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_kernel
Version 3.0 was released 22 Jul 2011. Torvalds announced that the big change was, "NOTHING. Absolutely nothing."[70] 30 May 2011 saw Torvalds announce, "...let's make sure we really make the next release not just an all new shiny number, but a good kernel too." After the expected 6-7 week development process, it would be released near the 20th anniversary of Linux.

Lol to your credit it's not actually in any distribution yet that I know of. I don't even know if it's been promoted to suitable yet.
And agree, you can easily change the kernel version when you make the build. Just because it says 3.x doesn't mean much

LG noob here. Will general ROMs like this work with any carrier variant of the G2 or not at all? And if not, whats the difference between the ROMs for different carriers that makes them incompatible with eachother?

He means there is no difference in the hardware, so the two ROMs should be compatible.
Sad to see that this didn't work, I got excited for a moment there. I wonder if the ODIN is failing it based on the model number alone? Perhaps it can be fooled into thinking it is the right model.

I think is related to a different partition structure and/or a locked bootloader. hope uncle Sam will bring QUICKLY the right version to us...:fingers-crossed:
SM-P605S is Note 10.1 2014 from SK-Telecom(LTE-Advance).
All Korean Version have different bootloader. You may flash AP or CSC but not modem or bootloader.
In this case, since we are still on 4.3 bootloader, we can not flash AP/CSC either.

When Samsung announced that the International Version of the S3 would not be getting Kitkat, a bunch of developers ported the Note II 4.4 ROM to that device. I don't see why someone with the right know-how couldn't do the same for us. The problem is, there are very few (perhaps none even) developers for our device.
I guess its rather pointless since the Kitkat ROM must be very close now...

Interesting. I see alot of stuff being done with qremote right now so im hopeful. Im not sure if the previous install is the culprit either since this is honestly a weird method getting it to work. My only thoughts is trying this after a fresh install after wiping but im not going to ask anyone to so this just for a single application
Even tried to wipe /system, reflash ROM, delete both APKs and folder in /data/data/ . No success. No errors and empty list.

I suspect QuicksetSDK.apk is signed for RR but not for CM12.

I have watched this thread since I found it. And D version of the g2 this works. I think I might see if I can look in the zip and apk. Something has to make it device specific.

I have installed your quick remote in my LG G2 D802 but it doesn't work : I can't see any manufacturer.
And I hadn't have the SDK error with the g2 remote file.
I have the lastest version of the Resurection Remix rom (android 5.0.2)...
What can I do to fix that ?

Thanks
i've done whatever you said and it works. And there is a manufacturer list. Thank you... LG G2 D802 Liquidsmooth 12/20 unofficial R5 kernel:good:
I've tried with render kernel and all that on ls980. I even switched to aicp. Thought maybe it was ROM related.
