He means there is no difference in the hardware, so the two ROMs should be compatible.
Sad to see that this didn't work, I got excited for a moment there. I wonder if the ODIN is failing it based on the model number alone? Perhaps it can be fooled into thinking it is the right model.

I think is related to a different partition structure and/or a locked bootloader. hope uncle Sam will bring QUICKLY the right version to us...:fingers-crossed:
SM-P605S is Note 10.1 2014 from SK-Telecom(LTE-Advance).
All Korean Version have different bootloader. You may flash AP or CSC but not modem or bootloader.
In this case, since we are still on 4.3 bootloader, we can not flash AP/CSC either.

When Samsung announced that the International Version of the S3 would not be getting Kitkat, a bunch of developers ported the Note II 4.4 ROM to that device. I don't see why someone with the right know-how couldn't do the same for us. The problem is, there are very few (perhaps none even) developers for our device.
I guess its rather pointless since the Kitkat ROM must be very close now...

the boot is locked and if we try to change it there is a security code that blocks the device to boot
we need the boot.img (including kernel) for note 2014 LTE and kitkat
that's why

Can we update SGS2 to 2.3.4 which is meant for nexus s ?
I mean not all in all, but definitely we can Eritrea things & make it fit for SGS2 right ?
Will that be so simple or it's very difficult without source code ?...
Just a noob question, I wanna know the answer pls....
Samsung release their own source codes and to modify Nexus S 2.3.4, it will take lot of effort.. Some Devs are trying to use HTC sense on SGS.. but its not easy

Hi,
I am new to Samsung phones so don't know a lot of the terminology. Can anyone please explain what a .pit file is and what a PDA file is?
I understand the android advices guide, but I do not understand why there is no ext4.pit file in the following link, if it is necessary for the upgrade procedure:
http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9100.htm
So... is it strictly necessary, or is it possible to get by without it?
Many thanks,
James

can you tell me what's different between (I9100XWKDD) and (I9100XEKE1) !!
I'm in Australia, and i'm pretty sure we're the last lot of Note 3 owners to get the 4.4.2 update.
Is there an OTA that we can use to update to 4.4.2?
Currently on 4.3 still MJ7.

You could flash any of the 4.4.2 firmwares available via Odin. Depends how you feel about tripping the Knox counter.
I'm in Australia as well and after my s3 I knew we would be one of the last to get any updates so I just went straight to 4.4.2 via odin.

If he allways install a new oficial version from odin it will never trip Knox counter, i´ve done it myself, i´m using a version from the Netherlands. it will change your csc though...
Also from Aus here. Gave up waiting officially as of yesterday and installed the UK (BTU CSC) firmware via ODIN with no issues at all. I didn't need to wipe my data, it all just worked as though it was a standard upgrade.
Next time I will just import one. Especially with trigger-happy KNOX I couldn't be bothered worrying about whether my Aus warranty is intact (I pad $300 "Aus tax" to buy it local vs import - not worth it). I doubt I tripped my Knox flag as it's an official unmodified first party firmware from Samsung that I installed..

When flashing other regions firmware, sometimes it comes with the additional bloatware from the region. It's normal.
You can just disable the bloatware from apps manager.
If u tired waiting and wanna try kk, just give it a shot.
Once ur region comes with kk, u can always flash back from odin.

From what I remember I don't really notice a difference in boot logo. But then again, I've always had the unbranded XSA version. If you have a branded version, it will likely revert your boot logo to an unbranded version which may/may not be desirable to you.
The build is N910T3UVU1DOFC.

Well it IS on SamMobile and labeled as T-Mobile USA: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N910T3/
There are actually SM-N910T, SM-N910T2, and SM-N910T3 acording to the Bluetooth SIG site: https://www.bluetooth.org/tpg/QLI_viewQDL.cfm?qid=25312
My guess is they are just different hardware revisions of the T-Mobile USA variant. I remember the Note 3 had at least two hardware revisions, the second one had a different display driver chip than the first one and TRWP had to build a new version for it to make the screen brightness work again.
This firmware image could be just a "common" firmware image for all three revisions.

Samsung has released a brand new Android 5.1.1 OTA Update in Korea for all the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge on SK Telekom. The new update should arrive any minute now and it is an important one, as it adds goodies from the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
The new official OTA Update is being released in stages and it will hit all devices shortly as long as these are based in South Korea. There is no report regarding the availability of this new update worldwide, but that should change soon enough and all Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users are going to be able to upgrade their devices with the latest Lollipop 5.1.1 firmware build.
Android 5.1.1 firmware versions G925SKSU2COH7 comes with Samsung Pay, new app icons, improved UI, Apps Edge, UHQ upscaler, improved KNOX security, Vacuum Tube Amp Pro that will improve audio, and tons of other small changes that will greatly enhance the Lollipop experience. The Android 5.1.1 update is rolling out over-the-air and you should simply confirm the download process when it reaches your device.

Yes the new rom is uploaded to sammobile with OH7 build number.

I doubt this will come to other models anytime soon, since this is the "Samsung Pay" update. I can see the U.S. models getting the update next month when Samsung Pay launches in the U.S. then, but all other models probably won't get this update for a while (considering my G920I just got an update to COGA a couple days ago). Or perhaps Samsung will push the update without Samsung Pay?
If it is COH7 why does Sammobile list it with 2015-08-01 as the date?

Relax and don't expect that much
MM must require new bootloader and likely we can not expect using AT&T bootloader on out international variant (Otherwise we have MM for N920T since months now)
Also there is obstacle in development till samsung release new source code otherwise PA* firmware don't allow old recovery/kernel on base bootloader.
As an AT&T customer using an international Note 5 (920i), I'm completely shocked that AT&T has even begun beta testing this before July of this year. In truth, based on AT&T's track record, I wouldn't expect their note5 variant to official receive "M" until at least October - around the same time as Verizon customers.
Hopefully someone can pull the image and we can flash it!

What makes you think that TW is using less memory? There are a LOT of misconceptions about memory use in android, and having more "free" memory is usually a BAD thing (as it means things are getting needlessly terminated.)
Before the update, the TW launcher was using around 130 MB according to "Running services", after it's using around 33 MB. The Samsung keyboard was using around 60MB before and 20 MB after.

Before this gets out of hand which it somewhat already has.
YOU CANNOT FLASH THIS UNLESS YOUR DEVICE IS ATT! Just like the T-mobile one, you cannot flash unless you are AT&T!!!!!

Has things changed since the old days of pulling the update.zip? If not why hasn't there been an upload anywhere yet? On ATT and anxious to try.
